They have been incredibly helpful as I had no idea where to start. It was great that the care homes had been expecting us it made it easier. It was also helpful not wasting our time contacting homes that were either not suitable for our need or full and not able to help.

I ranked my father's care home using the twelve categories offered by the carehome.co.uk website. I didn't write a text-based review as I didn't want to. When I submitted the response from the form was that a minimum of 100 characters was required for a text-based review so I filled those characters in with a short sentence explaining that I didn't want to write a text review. Shortly afterward I received an email saying they wouldn't accept the review as it was not relevant.I complained but received no response.This is not an objective review site since they are rejecting honest ratings from real care home customers based on arbitrary restrictions of their own making. Based on my experience I wouldn't trust this site were I seeking a care home for another relative.

Poor service, staff don't listen. As from a job search function also poor, the staff don't bother to read emails/CV's and lock you out if you don't have certain information so I wouldn't bother with them, don't seem to look at the email function.

My husband went into respite at Pennystone court Blackpool, he has dementia, they are registered to care for people with dementia, they did not know how to look after my husband, communication and hygiene was very poor, he came home with a nasty rash and an eye, and without a lot of his cloths, I trusted them, and they really let us down.

Not having heard of carehome.co.uk before, I was a little sceptical when Paulina called me back. She took a few details and the following day sent a couple of really useful emails with care home suggestions and links to lots of back up resources. All in all a very good experience with information provided unconditionally.

Very friendly and helpful staff who put together a shortlist of homes which my mother might like for respite care. I did find that a couple of these homes were well outside of the area I had asked for so were obviously not suitable.
Where the same review appears twice we show it once. We leave out reviews that name another agent or another of the brand's offices.
