The staff at Ellis & Co Finchley, are all very professional, helpful and responsive. They manage properties for us in a very safe and secure way, leaving us nothing to worry about. Personally, Khalid Ghani has helped us in more ways than as a professional estate agent. Helping us with managing the estate of my late father and recently deceased mother, with sound advice and wisdom of the local market and the effect of the current climate on it. Also going the extra degree in helping us with work to move back to our own flat, during a time of great stress. Khalid and the staff are greatly appreciated!

Ellis & Co Finchley extremely professional and great customer service

I can definitely recommend Ellis and Co, Finchley branch, if you are looking for a expert on selling property in the area. I had the pleasure of working with them, and in particular one of their directors Khalid, when I was looking to sell a property that I was left as part of a will, and I was highly impressed with the levels professionalism, expertise, and dedication to my specific needs. Not being faimiliar with the property market in this area I had to rely on the team to guide me through the process, made even more difficult by the fact I am mainly based outside of the UK. But it all went very smoothly as they were always available to answer any questions, or deal with any problems I had. They were also able to very quickly find a buyer for the property and provided valuable guidance throughout the whole process. I felt I could really trust them and was always in good hands. 🚫 AVOID AT ALL COSTS Terrible agency with shockingly poor standards. Especially awful were Belinda and Nicki, whose dismissive attitude and lack of basic professionalism made every interaction a headache. They always side with the landlord, no matter how unreasonable, leaving tenants completely unprotected. They don’t care about tenant well-being, only about keeping the landlord happy (and the money flowing). Their main goal is to milk you to the last drop, with no genuine interest in fair treatment or resolving issues. 🏚 ESPECIALLY AVOID GIARDINO APARTMENTS During my 3 years there, here’s just a small number of issues I had to deal with: Cracked window (toughened glass), they tried to blame me for it, then stalled the repair for months. Broken front door latch, bins door constantly broken, which tenants (including me) ended up repairing ourselves multiple times. Ant infestation near the front door, completely ignored. Old tree infested with aphids, leaving all the cars drenched in sticky honeydew all summer long. The parking itself is illegal, which somehow doesn’t stop them from shamelessly advertising it as “parking on premises.” And of course, the inevitable fight to claw back our own deposit, despite leaving the flat in excellent condition. 💥 BOTTOM LINE: I wouldn’t come near Ellis & Co with a 10-foot pole. Do yourself a favour and steer clear, your sanity, safety, and wallet will thank you.

Strongly recommend Neil Shah

We found our dream place advertised by Neil at ellis&co and he made the whole experience amazing, despite it taking longer than usual being a probate property. He is unbelievably professional and has supported us throughout the process. No question was ever a silly question, he always answered the phone and provided regular updates. Each time we viewed the property Neil was as excited as we were and gave us some great ideas on how to renovate the place and how we should lay out certain rooms, which we really appreciated as first time buyers. I had really great experience with this agency as a tenant. I've been renting an apartment from them for 2 years, and everything was quite good. Belinda McCarty was especially helpful and patient with us, as we're not very experiences in the UK renting rules. I have been a client with Ellis & Co Finchley for the last eight and a half years: firstly as a 'landlord' renting out my property; then - more recently - asking Ellis & Co to sell my property. During the entirety of this time, I have found every member of the team to have had the highest of professional standards, offering excellent advice on all aspects of the property market, being friendly, dealing with all matters promptly, being available at the other end of the phone or email, and generally making me feel like a valued individual. This team manages to strike that difficult balance of having the interests both of the landlord and tenants (and equally vendor and buyer) at heart. I would like to single out Mr Khalid Ghani who is at the helm of this branch and has created an excellent working ethos in this office. Khalid is highly experienced (and it shows!) and goes that extra mile in all aspects of his work - a great credit to his profession. I would unreservedly recommend Ellis & Co to anyone thinking of renting, selling or buying and am delighted to mention - as well as Khalid - Nicki, Belinda, Zsuzsanna, Neil and Matthew, all of whom work together as a very trustworthy and successful team. I have spent 2 years with Ellis & Co Finchley, they have been wonderful and helped me a lot from the beginning of my search until the end of tenancy. They helped make my first ever tenancy in my life smooth and wonderful. I have always owned and always been a landlord. I honestly didn't know any other way to express my gratitude and appreciation for support and the peace of mind. I am truly thankful for dealing with them, sad that I had to leave them, but honoured to have known them. To the letting and let management teams you are a very diligent and very supportive. I know I gave you a hard time :-) . But all my experience of renting is tough on me.. to many people (and to the agent and landlord) it's a property and tenancy but to me it is a home.
