GoogleNot sure how this company has such great ratings as they have been so unprofessional with my partner we rang about a property which was perfect for our family to be messed about on 3 occasions (3 weeks)when my partner and his dad viewed this property the agent didn't even turn up so was then shown around by the builder which is very unprofessional and against the law when contacted several times still didn't even come to the house which is shocking as we live in st helens and still got there on the time we had scheduled so we then had to ask the builder questions which to be honest didn't know an awful lot but said they would take housing benefit and so did the agent now we ring twice today and they have no clue about if the landlord takes housing benefit or pets then tonight tells my parneter that he doesn't take housing benefit if the landlord says no its a no I'm absolutely disgusted won't be using this company again
I’m sorry you feel you have had a bad experience with Critchlow Estate Agents, we have so many great ratings as that’s our customers experiences. Unfortunately we have no control over wether a landlord excepts benefits, it is their property so their sole decision.

GoogleAbsolutely exemplary service offered by Lee at Critchlows. Professional yet personable which took the daunting edge off selling our first home. I was recommended this company by a friend and it was the best recommendation I have ever followed. This is the first time I have sold a house and didn’t have a clue what I was doing. Lee ensured I knew everything that was happening and was always at hand should I need to ask him anything. I wouldn’t go to any other company should we ever sell a house again.

GoogleOne of Critchlows "For Sale Signs" appeared in the entranceway, to the courtyard, of the block of flats, where I live. It was there for over a week, when I checked Critchlows website and all the other main websites with properties for sale. Critchlows don't appear to have a property for sale, for at least, a quarter mile radius!? I telephoned Critchlows office to query this, and the lady I spoke to, practically put the phone down on me!? It is my belief, that not only are Critchlows In Breach of Civil Law: Leasehold Regulations, regarding display of advertising boards on Leasehold Property, but they are also In Breach of Criminal Law Planning Regulations, which state that any advertising signage, must be positioned within the boundary of a property…not wherever they fancy, to what I presume, is a tatty advertising exercise, desperately trying to drum up some business, in the local area, at other peoples expense! Your Move Critchlows? Ps. your signage contractor has also damaged the turf and the root system of the Portuguese Laurel Hedge.
The property you are refering to is 44 Hartley Court, which we do have going on sale. Photographs are currently in the process of being taken, hence why it is not yet on our website. I can assure you we have plenty of property boards around Stoke-On-Trent and Newcastle-Under-Lyme, we our proud to be No1 at listing properties for the second month running out of 104 offices throughout these area's, so please do not presume "is a tatty advertising scheme". Our staff would not put the phone down on a customer, we pride ourselves in an excellent customer service, however we also do not expect our staff to tolerate rudeness or aggression. Our apoligies if our signage contractor has damaged the Portuguese Laurel Hedge if you would like to take further action feel free to contact the office and we will provide details. I hope this has put your mind at ease that no laws or regulations have been breached. Have a lovely weekend. 🙂

Google(Written on behalf of a family member). When enlisting the services of Critchlow's for a residential sale, the service was absolutely shocking. No communication or confirmation of details. Don't use Critchlows; they will put your house up for sale without even telling you!
You do realise we have a signed contract so we are 100% confident your relative was aware. Not only did she sign a contract she also provided ID. We cannot sell a property with out this information. As for lack of communication, contract was signed on Saturday, we have Sundays off! Sam our professional photographer got in touch and she arranged for him to go round the Tuesday which he then did and took photos. We then contacted again as there was no EPC for the property. It was then made live on the Thursday which she then called that day and asked for it to be taken off the market due to lack of communication. Out of the 4 days that week there were 2 points of contact. Your comment is ridiculous to say "we put houses up for sale without even telling you". If signing a contract wasn't obvious enough letting a photographer in to take pictures for the sale is abit of a give away.

GoogleI called to book a viewing for a property and left a voice mail in my Canadian accent. A man calls me back hours later and I had forgotten which property it was as I had looked at many that day. He asks for my email and said he'd call me right back. I provide it, it's a non-western name, he seemed uninterested now and no one has called me back or replied to me.
Our apologies that you feel like that however your insinuation that you did not recieve a call back due to your Canadian accent is absolutely absurd. We have customers from all countries and backgrounds, apart from the fact that we are not racist, it wouldn't be a good buisness strategy to isolate people who do not have a British accent. Again as explained on the phone call we have over 200 properties on our books so if you do not know what the property is named we do not know either, again if you would like to take a look and find out which property you are referring to we are more than happy to book you a viewing.🙂

They are always happy to deal with house viewings when we aren’t available and their fees are very reasonable. GooglePossibly the worst estate agents I have dealt with. I emailed twice about a property for sale and after no response called them. I then called back twice and again had no response from them. Considering I am a cash buyer in no chain and wanted to purchase two properties I would have thought the least they could do is respond to my query.
We are sorry to hear you feel you have had a poor experience with Critchlow Estate Agents. I can see from our records you have spoken to Lee and Alison and on both occasions they have explained the property is being sold with tenants in situ. You also emailed for lease details and rental income which we provided and never heard back of you after that. GoogleSent through an enquiry on their website about a property on Orm Road and they never bothered to reply to my enquiry via their website or return my call. Not great if I was a landlord wanting to rent my property out and the agent doesn't get back to potential leads.
Our apologies that you feel you did not have a great experience with us, our records show that we did email you back to let you know the property was unavailable. This is unfortunate for you as a Tenant, however, rest assured if you were the landlord of the property, he was very happy that we let it out in rapid time.
