From day one, Shae was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and always available to answer my (many!) questions. The housing journey is still going ahead, but must admit, in particular Darcy, everyone at Critchlow have been incredibly patient with me, my housing story isn’t like the rest; a lot of trauma and stress but these guys really worked hard to get my house sold for me, as the motions are still on going - I just wanted to stay how brilliant the team were for chasing things and listening to me demanding back and forth when I was super stressed. I’ve had a fantastic experience with the team at Critchlows Estate Agents, Martin, Lee, Hannah, Alison, Darcy, and Lauren have all been exceptional in helping get both my sale and purchase through. (Apologies if any names have been missed!) They managed to secure the full asking price for my sale, which I was really pleased with. The process had a few delays due to personal circumstances on my side, but the team were always incredibly understanding, patient and accommodating throughout. They were brilliant at chasing solicitors, keeping everything moving, and providing honest opinions and guidance to help make sure I could complete. Communication was excellent, I could always get in touch with someone, and they were great at closing the loop and updating me whenever they heard back from solicitors or had any progress to share. What really stood out was how much accountability they took in making sure things got done. The whole team worked hard to keep things on track and make the process as smooth as possible. I’ve had a fab experience with Critchlows and will definitely be using them again in the future. I’d highly recommend them to anyone buying or selling.

I recently had a viewing scheduled with Critchlow Estate Agents where Martin was the agent assigned to us. Unfortunately, the experience was less than satisfactory. Throughout the meeting, Martin was frequently on his phone, and we had to ask for his attention more than once. Instead of guiding us through the property, he remained in the reception area and instructed us to explore on our own while he stayed on his phone. This approach made the viewing feel disorganized and impersonal, ultimately causing me to lose interest in the property and made us feel like we didn't stand a chance anyway. During the viewing, other prospective renters arrived, and Martin gave them similar instructions without any personal engagement. It felt more like we were visiting a gallery than being shown a potential home. While I am sure Martin is a pleasant individual, I would recommend he put more effort into his role during viewings. Regardless of how many appointments he may have in a day, each client deserves the same level of attention and care. It is important to ensure that every visitor feels valued and properly guided through the property. Critchlow Estate Agents seem to be a small firm, and it appears Martin may be related to the owner or be the owner, given the shared surname. This makes it even more crucial to maintain high standards in client interactions. Whether dealing with renters or buyers, consistent professionalism is key. On a positive note, their responsiveness to calls and follow-ups has been commendable. In summary, while my overall experience with the viewing was disappointing and led to a loss of interest in the property, I hope this feedback can help improve future interactions for other clients.

We recently bought our new home and wanted to say a big thank you to Lee and the team for making the whole process much smoother than expected. They were always helpful, quick to respond, and made sure we had the information we needed at every stage. Lee in particular was great, often a step ahead of the solicitors and clearly on top of things, which helped keep everything moving. It was really useful having someone we could rely on for regular updates. Overall, things went as smoothly as we could have hoped for, and we appreciated the straightforward, no-fuss approach. I viewed 3 properties with Critchlow. I was travelling from london to stoke to view properties around different parts. The first viewing was a joke. Martin Critchow was supposed to attend the viewing and let me in but was 20 minutes late to the viewing and I had already been let in by the tenant to view the property which was extremely unprofessional. When he arrived he noticed that I was also his second appointment of the day and we were both supposed to meet at the next house. He drove and I told him I was using uber to get to viewings. He could of offered a lift to the next viewing out of common human decency but he walked away and said ‘will see you at the next one’. I took an uber to the next house. He met me there and we waited outside the house to be let in. Turns out, the tenant wasn’t told about the viewing and we were both standing there with our hands in our pockets. He just laughed and said ‘tenants, what can you do’ and walked to his car. Completely unprofessional and disrespectful given I travelled and made it clear I was from london. He could of checked and made sure these viewings were taking place given I emphasised I was coming from London. On the third viewing off the day, I was supposed to meet Lee Dono at the property. Suprise surprise, he doesn’t turn up and the tenant lets me in. I view the property and then leave to view the next. Lee Dono never turned up to this viewing and to be honest, I am not sure if it would of changed anything as these guys dont seem to have any special expertise or knowledge that would help a sale go through (based on other reviews here saying they don't really add much outside letting you into the house, which again they never even did the bare minimum!!!) These guys are super unprofessional and really just a clown show all round. I felt extremely disrespected and wasn’t shown an inch of professional curtesy. After a VERY negative experience with a local estate agent we contacted Critchlow estate agents due to them selling the house next door. I spoke with Lee and within a few days are house was on the market, fantastic pictures were taken showcasing our home and it sold in less than 24 hours. Communication has been fantastic, Lee is always willing to help, always on hand to reassure us and responds to texts and emails quickly. I regret to say that my experience with this letting agent has been nothing short of disappointing. Despite my repeated attempts over a span of two weeks, they failed to respond to any of my inquiries. Emails went unanswered, and communication was sorely lacking. Furthermore, they neglected to inform me of missing rent payments and rescheduled inspections in a timely manner. Overall, their communication has been incredibly poor.

I dealt with Critchlow Estate agents twice in two years. Once to get a valuation of a property about which we changed our mind and have not sold and the second time recently when they dealt with the sale of another property. They moved fast and Martin came to value it asap. Martin is a nice, polite and considerate gentleman and his valuation was spot on. Then he got the photographer out to take the pictures and the property was quickly live/advertised . It stayed on the market for about 7 weeks and it had a reasonable number of viewings and interest. We were given the feedback of these viewings within reasonable time. When we asked for some pictures on their website to nuance maybe a bit better the character of the property they were responsive and open to suggestions. It got sold. I would recommend this Estate agents without hesitation. Thank you Martin, Lee ( always professional, responsive & on board with suggestions) Lauren and Darcy for responding calls/ queries and doing a good job. Communication was good throughout. We will definitely use you again.
