Hi Sachin, thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are saddened to see that our team in Farnborough have received a low star rating following your experience with them and that you feel the cleaning and repair charges at your property were fairly high. I have had the opportunity to discuss your review with the property manager Claire Seymour who has attempted to phone you and discuss this. It can be evidenced that the charges for works that have recently been completed were put forward to the tenant as proposed deductions to the deposit at the end of the tenancy and these were accepted meaning that the tenant has covered the costs for these works as you received this amount from the deposit. When arranging works here at Romans we do work with a number of third party contractors who are all fully qualified, insured and capable of undertaking these and we do expect them to be as competitive as possible in terms of pricing. At the end of a tenancy the check-out report completed identifies what falls under the responsibility of either party i.e. Tenant or Landlord. Due to the timeframes we adhere to during the deposit release process and when taking into account the start date of any new tenancies it means that for any works which are deemed to fall under the responsibility of the tenant quotes need to obtained at the earliest opportunity to ensure that these costs can be put forward to them. If during a tenancy there are any repairs which need undertaking that fall under your responsibility and you are concerned with the cost of these providing they are not emergency works then at your request Claire would be able to obtain a second quote to allow you to review another option.
