Hello

Hello, I've recently been given a notice of vacating my current location as my landlord sold his house. Within about a week I found a new house (house share) in Woodley. I arranged a viewing on the same day through Ben Cottrell from Romans, paid the holding deposit the next day and now moving in at the end of the month. I just wanted to thank Ben for his customer service and making this as stress free as possible. Although I still have to move so hope I haven't spoken to soon. Anyway, Romans is lucky to have Ben as part of their team.

I had an excellent experience renting my property from the initial viewing right through to moving in. Holly was outstanding throughout the entire process. She was professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful at every stage, always keeping me informed and making everything as straightforward and stress-free as possible. Even after I had moved in, Holly continued to provide support and was quick to help with any questions I had. Great experience finding our first flat in Reading.

We had a wonderful experience working with the Roman's Tilehurst team who helped us find our first flat in the Reading after moving from New Zealand. Nathan was fantastic at helping us find our home showing us 3 different properties of interest and working closely with us on our tenancy approval. Mark and Lorraine were also excellent answering our tenancy questions and helping us navigate our tenancy application. Highly recommend, especially if you are looking for your first flat in Reading.

Had been to many agents in Farnborough with no joy whatsoever not even a viewing offered .. Saw Romans and thought so went in not holding out much hope... So that day sat with josh picked out a property josh made the viewing for the next day at 11am went viewed the property and straight away loved it... Josh sorted paper work helped me fill it in along with a couple of the ladies next day my offer was excepted and all sort ready to move in the 12th The best service ever so professional..... Romans Estate Agents, Windsor are excellent in every way. they go that extra mile to be kind, helpful and considerate throughout the transaction of putting my house up for sale with them as sole agents. their marketing strategy is superb. Carl, the Sales Manager is a great guy and keeps in regular contact throughout along with his team also. Many viewings, much interest in the property and its location. Plus an added sector within the group is First For Auctions again with excellent staff, so, if you were worried about the market and selling through the normal way you can have the option of going to Auction. I would highly recommend Romans Estate Agents, Windsor as first class plus!.

Use someone else

Trying to enquire about rental properties via Romans is terrible. You come across one of their properties on Rightmove, ask if they accept pets and you will be bombarded. Missed calls, voicemails, emails adding your details to databases, thanking you for choosing Romans to help you find your next home, thanking you for applying for a new home with Romans. Its all very strange and in the end you'll still not get a response. Just rent a property with someone else who will actually just answer your questions. I have genuinely given up enquiring about properties listed by Romans now. Waste of time

Romans of Farnborough helped us secure our rental property nearly two years ago and though we encountered several problems, they were helpful and got everything resolved. The standout person in all our dealings with Romans is Jacqueline Miles-Miller our property manager. Jacqueline is professional, courteous and kind, promptly replying to emails and arranging any contractual workers to the property for any work needed and yearly checks. Jacqueline also goes the extra mile in understanding that the property is a home and when we had a tenant who was immunosuppressed, pre-arranged and ensured that any service employees, such as gas service engineers, wore masks and were respectful in attendance at the property. We feel Jacqueline should be considered a role model for other staff, with timely, clear responses, updates about all things that are happening, whilst showing respect at all times. Thank you Jacqueline.

Disrespectful and unhelpful staff

I enquired about a few properties for rent through Rightmove, and they were prompt at giving me a call. Unfortunately, I missed the initial phone call so I gave them a call back within 5 minutes. The first person I talked to was disrespectful and unwilling to help. The call quality sounded like I was on speaker (and I heard laughter in the background which coincided with my responses). A few mintues after the call ended, I decided to try again, hoping the first time was a misunderstanding, but I recived similar treatment again from another agent who took a mocking tone and then abruptly ended the call.

We had a positive experience selling our house through Romans Farnborough! Josh was really professional and came fully prepared when pitching as the agent to sell our home. Ashleigh was then fantastic at leading across the marketing and promotion of our home along with overseeing our viewings with Alishma. We were regularly updated and had 30 viewings booked within a week = house pitched at the right price to the right audience. Resulted in multiple offers at a level accepted. The Move Manager Alison was then great at keeping us updated and changing solicitors as it came towards completion.

Visited the Roman staines branch 1st July 2026 around 1pm (please note: staff member at the till, South Asian, slim build) and was disappointed by the service. I asked her whether a trouser style from the website was in stock, showing her a photo. She didn't look at the photo, gave a quick "no," and when I asked where I might find it, she kept looking at her screen without engaging further. I had to suggest "online?" myself, to which she gave a vague "maybe" without making eye contact.

If I could leave 0 stars I would . The continous lies from this agency is appalling. They are money hungry and VERY unprofessional. Rude attitude from Zara continously from the start to the end of my tenancy . I couldn’t ever have a conversation over the phone or in person without her disgusting attitude. They’ll promise you a property and give it to someone else and when you check out they will take the stupidest photos of dust ,to ask you to pay MORE money as it’s not “clean enough”. Save yourself the hassle and don’t even bother with them .
