Awful communication

Sadly, my buyer has been very very slow with buying my property after I had put in an offer on a house, which was accepted, through Prospect. I informed Prospect at each stage what was happening (or not happening) & that I was having to put my property back on the market. This was in August. When I later contacted them to say my buyer was now proceeding with everything, they informed me that they had sold the property to someone else, in August. Apparently they left a voicemail & text me to ask me to call them. I have no text. I wasn't even informed it was going back on the market. They admitted someone should have emailed or written to me to have told me & admitted the fault was theirs. However, in Sep I paid money for the searches , not knowing it wasn't going to be mine & since I pointed this out, they now say that they believe they did everything to get hold of me- a voice mail to call back & a supposed text- no email, no letter. I have now lost this money. I was warned about their communication, which was why I went with another company. Make sure everything is emailed! Really disappointing!

Sensible and focussed on the sale

We engaged Prospect to sell our property in Jul/Aug. We were initially skeptical of a high st agency and fearful of costs but Colin worked with us and importantly gave us the reality check we needed without embellishing facts to secure our custom, which was highly appreciated in a market that is presently very crowded. Ryan, Grace and rest of the team have been excellent through the sales process. We’re looking to complete soon and hope things go well. We’d definitely recommend Prospect.

Excellent team and service

We have not completed our sale yet although things seem to be progressing well. I would just like to say that all at Prospect have been excellent from the first contact with Daniel Abreu who came along to value our property, Grace and Tom who have been in control of the viewings and now Nicole who is making sure things move along nicely with the sale and as promised has called me once a week with updates. They have all been very friendly and professional in their work. I would certainly recommend the team at Prospects Estate Agents Maidenhead.

For me, a Property Management Agency is only as good as the staff that run it. I have been with Prospects for many years and always found they provide a good service. I have been lucky to have an excellent Property Manager in Carla Munro who I have been dealing with for many years. She is thorough, always accessible, diligent, knowledgeable and very helpful at all times. I can go directly to her anytime to sort out issues and for advice. I get regular inspection reports and assistance with maintenance issues and I am pretty sure my tenants are also happy to deal with Carla and her staff. I can leave the management of my properties in their capable hands.PositiveProfessionalism

Dont rent from prospect Farnborough

Definatley wouldn't recommend renting from above company. Reported the heating not working on the 15th June, its now 17th October and its still not resolved or fixed. Im just left with the smallest heaters that not only costs a fortune but doesnt heat up the room at all! The property management department are useless. Keep being told I'm not their client and they look after landlord. They will say anything to look like they are doing something about, even got told on numerous times this will be sorted but they ignored calls, voicemails and emails for over 5 weeks and only when I logged another complaint they decided to get in touch with a load of excuses as to how they've been sorting it behind the scenes.... which I believe is untrue. Now I'm left with mental health issues, physical problems due to mould and damp in the flat aswell as stress and anxiety about going back to a cold flat every night. If you want to wait months for repairs to be done and get ignored then this is the company for you!

Average service!

Had very good service from prospect when I was viewing the property and when I accepted to move in with references and setting things up. Since I have moved into the property I have had very poor service by the prospect in dealing with issues I had raised before moving into the property. Only a few issue had been dealt with and I am still waiting on confirmation for when the other issues will be resolved.

Wouldn't recommend renting from

Wouldn't recommend renting with prosect. They moved me into a flat with no heating. Cancelled appointments to fix issue with less than an hours notice. Taken 3 months to fix 1 radiator. Only in the flat 5 weeks into renting and ive had to deal with potential new buyers when they stated in writing it was not going to be for sale as im renting it. Lied to me on several occasions. Then lied to council members saying the heating works and told buyers i don't know how to work the heating. Sending inventory 5 weeks after moving in. Worst estate agents I've ever come across. Very unprofessional leaving clients in the property unsupervised. Worst company to deal with.

I contacted Prospect Estate Agency to book in a viewing for a property I was very interested in, I was spoken to by Mitchell who was very helpful and booked my viewing in straight away with no problems. I didn’t think that my head could be turned as I had my heart set on that property, but Mitchell suggested that I looked at a similar property not to far from this one aswell and believe it or not i changed my mind straight away. I’m so happy that Mitchell suggested to look at the property because now I will be a lot more happier in my new home. Fantastic support during COVID from Prospect (Julie Jacobs)

I've been on the tenancy under Prospect since 2017. For me the face of Prospect Agency is Julie Jacobs as she is the Property Manager of my reneted property under Prospect. I must say that she is being excellent throughout especially during COVID time. My situation during COVID was a bit tricky, I was really worried about the tenancy. But Julie handled the situation very professionally communicating the changes of my situation with landlord and keeping the internal processing completely seamless. I did not have to take much headache. The best part of her is that she has been always assuring and positive. Finally everything went well and the situation become almost stable.Really last 2 months was very bad for me. If I hadn't get the assurance/help from Prospect(Julie Jacobs), the situation could have been much worse. My sincere thanks to both Prospect (Julie Jacobs) and the Landlord!!

Its only when circumstances are less…

Its only when circumstances are less than ideal that an estate agent can prove there worth to a landlord. I had an unprecedented issue with a sub tenant that resulted in incredible strain on my niebhours and myself. As a result I was seeking to end a contract well before the legal minimum time frame. Legal routes would have taken time to progress with no certainty of success especially with the laws weighed desroportionately more so now on the tenants side. Carla my liaison at Prospect was incredibly supportive but honest in her dealings. She was very diligent in her negotiations and used great diplomacy in bringing what could have been a long and arduous situation to a mutually favourable conclusion far sooner than might otherwise have been the case. I would have no hesitation in praising her proffesionalism along with that of her colleagues in what were very testing times which all landlords will likely experience at some point or another.

We have just taken on a rental in berkshire for a 6month duartaion. We have had a few issues but since being put in contact with our property manager Julie Jacob's we have had our issues resolved promptly and professionally. We have stoked up a great relationship and have a wonderful understanding. My review is 5 stars only for the reason Julie works for prospect and she is a credit to the business and without valuable employees like her it maybe a different outlook.

Great Service!

I just wanted to share a note around Elliott Garrington.. I've started looking for apartments relatively recently and within one day Elliott took me from promoting a new property Prospect had to show, to setting up a viewing, to confirming a deposit and starting the lease agreement process. He was incredibly responsive both via phone and email with any questions/requests I had and I have to say the overall process could not have been handled better. I appreciate the help Elliott!
