GoogleWe’ve had a great experience with Martin & Co’s Falmouth branch. Liam and Ruby have been great at keeping us updated and informed about the property we have chosen to rent. They have been great in accommodating our needs for online viewings and communication over emails and telephone calls. It has been clear and simple when coming to signing tenancy agreements and referencing.

GoogleReally great, friendly service from Liam from the initial viewing, through the referencing and to the final acceptance. Always quick to respond to emails and ready to talk things through on the phone without hurrying me up. The fact that Martin & Co. use Rightmove for the referencing also made things move along smoothly as they are really good and very contactable and helpful on the phone.

1. Terrible customer service. -Don’t return calls. Awful communication. 2. Rude. -Attempts to talk over you and attempts to belittle the situation. Intimates the customer is not telling the truth when the customer said nothing other than the truth! 3. Will say and do anything to try and retain a deposit. - spider web on a lamp shade! Really? A spider web on a lamp shade!!! We left it cleaner than when we arrived! 4. One of the worst experiences ever. A huge disappointment and complete waste of our time in having to deal with them. 5. Don’t believe what they say. Bathroom leak prior to moving in, covered up and then denied all knowledge! But when the tradesman arrived he said “oh I was here to deal with this before, when the last people were here”!!! He couldn’t fix it, or didn’t want to. In fact, several tradesman looked but didn’t want to touch it.. and I can’t blame them. Nightmare of a job. 6. No use of an en-suite bathroom for the whole time we were there. Rent stayed the same though! 7. Water leaking through the kitchen ceiling - I had to fix that! 8. Leaking overflow in the tank in the roof space due to a rusted knackered ballcock valve. I had to fix that! 9. Leaking gutter. I had to fix that. 10. But.. we left a spider web, so therefore some deposit must be retained! Absolute joke. 11. Told there were some overgrown bushes in the garden so a gardner would be needed. - We left in the height of summer! Bushes grow a bit! They had forgotten I had to trim bushes and cut the grass on the day we moved in. 12. I will never use Martin and co again. I will never recommend them to anyone.

GoogleI found Kirsty and Emily extremely good at communicating to me over the sale of my property, they worked very hard to get viewings, always kept me up to speed with what was going on and were good at negotiating the best price they could get on the sale. All in all a good experience, they even managed to take some of the stress out of what's always a stressful procedure!

GoogleMoved out of a rental property on 31st July. Was promised once the property was checked that I would receive my deposit back. Contacted them at the beginning of September to find out what was happening, was told the landlord was not replying to emails or calls to I couldn't receive my deposit. I phoned the landlord myself and he confirmed that there were no issues and he was happy to release my deposit and Martin & Co had made no attempt to contact him. Visited Martin & Co again today to chase the deposit, they are now claiming the LANDLADY is not responding to emails, even though the flat was sold while I was tenant, this landlady no longer owns the property. I'm very frustrated and stressed with these on going issues. Really disappointed in Martin & Co as I received a good service while in the property. I've been told my deposit cannot be released. Writing a review was the last thing I wanted to do.NegativeProfessionalism
