It was an absolute pleasure dealing with Emily Barlow & Amelia (did not get her surname). There was not a time where we have not been informed about the application process for a property. She would always answer almost immediately and reassure us if we had any questions. It was such a smooth, quick and pleasant process since the viewing! We felt like our time was valued and we have been supported with our reallocation to a new place. I would also recommend Smart Agents - having an online platform with all of your information in one place is very handy. Besides, the reference process that they have only took us couple of minutes to fill out with the shortness time awaiting for the outcome!

A friend of mine recommended Smart EA to me and my mortgage advisor was also very approving of them so I decided to ask them to help me with a house sale. Now I am so glad I listened to my friend as Smart EA gave me the best rate in town, the best service and the best attitude! Heba and Amilia were SUPER-helpful, providing tons of advice all the way through the sale, addressing whatever issues I had and making sure things were moving on as smoothly as possible at every stage of the sale. Finding a buyer was a breeze and I was very impressed with their positive attitude when I saw potential buyers coming out of my property smiling! Also, I previously was under impression that the agent's job ended once the buyer was found, but both Heba and Amilia did so much more, chasing all parties involved for dates and details and ensuring that I keep my sanity throughout the whole selling process even when solicitors were driving me bonkers. Thank you so much for all your work and expertise! I would totally recommend using Smart for your property sale over any other agency in Exeter and surrounding area.

Sammy is a bloody fantastic estate agent! Super friendly, relaxing and very professional. She makes you feel right at ease and quickly becomes part of the family! It’s never awkward with Sammy! Yes they have to SMART to live up to their name, so you'd expect them to be highly professional, quick and attentive, which they are. In addition Lisa Williams is one of the nicest people you could wish to meet. She is upbeat, bubbly and keen to get the best deal for her clients. A very poor experience with this company. I have now been to view two properties with them. Most recently I went to view a property and discovered online that the property had been let. After a promise to let me know either way, no communication whatsoever. I also sent a follow-up email which was ignored. This is both unprofessional and demonstrates what sort of company they are. This company only seem to have the interests of the landlords at heart. Tenants are simply numbers with little thought given to how much time people take off work to go and view properties. If you are a tenant I would recommend looking elsewhere for more experienced letting agents especially judging by the other reviews given by existing tenants regarding repairs not being dealt with and general unprofessionalism. AVOID.

Amelia was very reliable, dedicated and communicative!

I sold a property with Smart Estate Agent and although at the start I felt like there could have been better and more frequent communication I also understand that selling a property is not a quick and easy thing to do. Amelia was very reliable and communicative, particularly towards the end. She would consistently update me and let me know exactly what stage we were at in the selling process and she was as determined as me and the buyer to get things moving as efficiently as possible. Couldnt be happier

Couldnt be happier. From 1st phone call it felt like these guys ment bussiness. I was well impressed and sold on using Smart within the 1st 20mins of meeting Lisa. She explained how they go about things and it just sounded a more modern and ruthless way of doing things which I didnt get after meeting other agents. Less than 24 hours after agreeing to go with Smart my property was online. I had an unseen offer in under a week and then acepted an offer the next day after the first day of viewings. Amelia was my contact as soon as my house went live and right up to completion. I was impressed with the way she would contantly chase things, gave fantastic feedback and the regular updates. Always polite and extremely determined. I tried selling the same house 2 years Prior with a different estate agent and they failed. This time I used Smart and had sale agreed within 7 days. That speaks for its self. Highly recommend!

Long term tenant review

We have been renting with Smart since 2020 in 2 different properties.Overall the experience has been brilliant. There’s been a couple of occasions where things get forgotten about or we have had to send a follow up once or twice but things seem to have improved a lot since the pandemic which lets face it was a difficult time for everyone. It does feel like over the last few months there has been a conscious effort to step up customer service and it really has been a five star experience lately. Repairs are generally sorted out quickly, especially urgent ones, and in terms of property inspections they have been extremely accommodating my partners odd working hours when arranging these. At our first property the landlord at times was reluctant to meet his obligations and Smart applied pressure to get things done, luckily where we are now the maintenance provided by the landlord / Smart is fantastic. Everyone I have spoken to, met or emailed has been extremely polite and friendly, even when I’ve been my usual grumpy self!A special shout out to Amelia, Sophie, Emily and Josh who we have had a few dealings with. All of you are a credit to your team and have eased an awful lot of stress for me!

Excellent Viewing Experience

My viewing experience with Josh Shaw was excellent. I immediately felt welcomed and at ease, allowing me to ask genuine questions about the property, without feeling like I was taking up his time. To be fair, Lisa and her team didn't have to do much selling, as soon as my daughter saw the house she fell in love with it, despite the fact that it wasn't even for sale at the time. Once we'd established that it was on the market again they couldn't have been more responsive. The sale went through in record time, no thanks to our conveyancer, and in the final stages we found it was quicker to call Lisa and get her to contact the sellers' solicitor than to wait for answers from our own legal team. Jack Ottaway arranged a flat viewing. He was punctual and helpful. The letting was agreed and Jack has been handling this matter right through. He has good communication skills and we have been advised of every step. It’s plain he has used his own mobile and we think Smart Estate Agents, as a professional firm, should provide this vital piece of kit. Wouldn't recommend. Ive rented out via them. The last tenant has caused thousands of pounds worth of damage & Unpaid rent. Smart did not do proper checks or references checks on them. Jasmine in letting has lied and mislead. I would avoid at all cost.
