A bigger bunch of grifters you could not wish to meet. Do not trust them , do not even engage with this company. The customer service is non existent. They don't give you all the information you require, then charge exorbitant fees because you haven't had all the information! Avoid them like the plague and use a reputable company.....you have been warned

I chose Barnard Marcus to sell my mother's house in Ewell due to the professional way in which David conducted himself. An empty property needed agents we could trust and Barnard Marcus Ewell proved themselves.Not the cheapest, but a great service which I was very happy to pay for. Always contacted me back if I asked questions. The sale with Jill guiding it was almost too smooth to be believed. Nothing was too much for them. We had some hipcups on the way but next week we get to move to our dream house .Took longer than expected but in a chain it can be very tricky .Julie was always polite and calm with us even when some times we were raging. James came to our house for a free valuation. He was friendly, professional, answered all our questions and really on the ball. We knew straightaway that our house was in good hands. We were offered in excess of the asking price which was excellent. James and his team work hard for it. Unfortunately, due to an unforeseen circumstance, we could not go forward with the sale. Overall I wouldn’t recommend

As they are quite a well known agency I thought I would be getting good service, we were visited by the branch manager, who, as soon as he received my business- completely disappeared and never responded to anything. We had multiple offers accepted however buyers either weren’t informed correctly about our situation or they messed us around. When we finally progressed with our sale the progression team were terrible- never there, wouldn’t respond and wouldn’t update when they said they were going to. I also kept getting calls from their ‘customer service’ team who had no idea how to respond when I told them know angry I was. There was one amazing lady at the mitcham branch who was phenomenal the whole time- she was the only reason I never went insane. Overall I would not recommend Barnard Marcus.

❌ Paid 12 months upfront, but faced undisclosed risks and an eviction notice I believe was retaliatory, Barnard Marcus failed to protect me as a tenant.

My experience has been extremely poor. Despite paying 12 months’ rent upfront plus a large deposit, I was not told crucial facts before signing, including the freehold setup, the controlling freeholders living upstairs, and the presence of a large dog, which later attacked me in the hallway, the only access to my flat. These are material facts that should have been disclosed.

Epsom Branch Recently instructed agent to sell 1 bed flat in Banstead. Within 1 week of advert going live I had secured offer at asking price. Buyers were already from their client list which is extensive and they don't solely rely on generating buyers enquiries via online property sites. Very professional marketing on their site and the common online property sites with featured listing. Excellent sales staff to ensure best deal secured. I had previously used 2 other agents over 4 months and little interest achieved from prospective buyers. Barnard Marcus actively seek out interested parties for viewings. The fees are higher but worth it if sale achieved at asking price in short time. Would highly recommend.

I cannot recommend these guys enough! I had my property on the market with a different agent and after three months with only three viewings I had decided to take my property off the market, I then met Ben by chance during a viewing on one of his properties and was immediately impressed with his professionalism, knowledge and passion and so I moved across to Bernard Marcus and they did not disappoint. What can I say about Barnard Marcus?

From making a call to the office and booking the valuation of our property, the service provided to us has been exemplary.A very professional young lady arrived to carry out the valuation and it was recommended to delay listing as we were very close to Christmas.This did not delay Barnard Marcus in arranging viewing appointments from the very next day.Two very able and competent young ladies were put in charge of selling our flat and there was no slacking in arranging appointment after appointment. As many as three on some Saturdays.One young lady moved on from the company, but Shahana stayed and continued doing her very best to get our property sold.We feel her selling skills were really put to the test with our home and she eventually found a buyer who was just right for it. I can't rate Jamie and the team highly enough. They have been honest, helpful, professional and most of all did what they promised and sold my property for very near asking price. And within a week of going to market. My circumstances unfortunately changed and I had to pull out of the sale. I felt terrible about this but Jamie's reaction was very professional and understanding. I would definitely use them again in the future and would definitely recommend. 👍👍👍

Bad service from 2019 to 2021

From 2019:I had a terrible experience with this office.We found a beautiful flat that we ended up letting but the process was terrible.Kirsty was our "agent" but she pretty much ignore us the entire time.She was over an hour late to the viewing, no email, no phonecall, nothing. We were able to see the flat because the tenant at the time was nice enough to let us in. He also complain to us about her tendency to be late and never inform the visitors or himself.After we decided to get the flat, we went through a very difficult process because of lack of comunication. We didnt receive any information or support during this time, we ended up having to expend aditional money on the move because we had to organize the entire thing last minute. (We were pretty much told the day befoee we had to move and this was after weeks of ignored phonecalls and emails)All our emails requesting information and help were ignored, our calls were ignore too and the few times she answer her tone and treatment was rather rude.Even asking for a small change in our contract has been a difficult process!! Emails are totally ignore, i had to call four times to try to get someone on the phone just to be told to leave my information for them to call back (they did not)Basically, great properties but be prepare for a horrible costumer experience and indeference to any type of comunication or questions.Joshua was really nice and helpful though, sadly he wasnt the one helping us directly.For 2021:Its been over a year since the issue above and I am sad to say the one star still applies.We have a wonderful property and a great landlord but I am baffle by the lack of professionalism and support from banard Marcus, at least from the tenant side.Since November I have been chasing them to make an amendment to my contract. Kirsty avoided my emails and calls the same way she did last year so after a month I had to pretty much beg to be given someone else to help me take care of this.Joshua was very nice and polite and connect me with the person who should amend the contract, it’s been weeks and still nothing though. I was told that the contract was sent to the landlord but this doesn’t seams to be true and he says he didn’t received anything.I just lost a family member due to the pandemic, I just want to focus on my family but I can’t because the banard marcus team simple seems to refuse to fulfil their commitment and help fix something they should have done back in November when I first contact them.
