Yas was great. I had a RICS valuation done where the surveyor overpriced my property and Yas provided me with detailed comparables as to why the valuation wasn’t accurate and gave me a realistic valuation of the property based on more fitting comparables. If you’re in the Epsom/ Ewell area, I would highly recommend him. He’s honest and very helpful. I can’t thank him enough. I wouldn’t be able to challenge my valuation without his insight! Great guy. 10/10 service. Knows his stuff!! 👌🏽 thank you very much

untrustworthy chancers

We had our placed valued and on the market with another agent. Barnard Marcus wrote to me to say they had a cash buyer specifically interested in our property. We varied our contract with another agent to allow for joint agency so we could contract with Barnard Marcus. After the contract was signed they ignored me for two weeks. There was no interested buyer. Fine, I fell for the oldest trick in the book, but as far as I'm concerned that's just dishonesty. They lied. Worse, they ignored us and had terrible customer service. Plus they got loads of details on the online listing wrong. I cancelled the contract during the cooling off period and I had to hassle them for several days (after the cancellation) to remove the listing. Unethical. Now, some brash bozo in their Southampton head office keeps badgering me on the phone. When I said I didn't have time to speak he rudely hung up. Needless to say, I don't recommend them.

Never use them to let your flat out they lie about tenants they are putting in

Used by my fellow homeowner & friend in our small block of flats . They lied to her told her a professional woman in her 40’s they had lined up to rent her flat . Absolute rubbish the woman that moved in very young here on family reunion visa no hate but they lied . There is now 3 adult men , that young woman & her new baby living up there in a tiny 1 bedroom flat . Noisy , other issues. I’ve complained to Bernard Marcus as a homeowner in same small block . TOTALLY IGNORED . Do not ever use them to manage your home as a rental - ever! Liars who do not care . They will know exactly the property I’m writing about in Chiswick . Near Gunnersbury station . Never bothered to address my complaint or concerns about the amount of people living in that flat with the so called ‘professional’ woman in her 40’s they said they had dealt with before & knew. Liars . The owner is trying to remove them - I hope she sues Bernard Marcus for their deceit and complete unprofessional behaviour . I will definitely back her up 100% .

We recently sold our shared ownership flat through Barnard Marcus Battersea. We had already been on the market for over a year, and none of the other Estate Agents we had tried would sell the Share rather than 100%, nor had they been successful. Micheal gave us great advice and confidence that they would be able to do so; and Micheal, Alan, Milo and Andrea were all brilliant, and I would have no hesitation in recommending them. They were communicative and approachable at every step of the way and did all they could to not only secure a buyer but also to make sure that the sale went as smoothly and quickly as possible.

I would not normally do a review for an estate agent but Barnard Marcus in Ewell deserve one. We had looked at a few properties with other estate agents and it was in & out of properties & one agent actually sat in the garden while we looked around! However, we were so surprised when Annabel opened the door with a beaming smile and calling us by name when we looked at our bungalow, this made us feel valued straight away. Annabel talked about the property & the surrounding area which was so useful as we did not know it. Annabel kept in touch & helped us through tricky moments of the purchase along with the team in the office, I don't know if other estate agents do this but it was so kind & we were so grateful because when I went to collect the keys they gave us a little hamper of drinks & goodies which we really needed having had nothing to eat or drink since breakfast. Annabel is kind & caring (not all estate agents are like this) and her team are so helpful. If anyone asked me to recommend an estate agent I would not hesitate to say that they are on the ball, the was never a point that I felt 'what was happening' because they were one step ahead, nothing was too much trouble & overall they were really friendly & professional. We used this company in July 24 to list our 3 bed semi. They were keen to get us into a 16weeks contract, and gave us an extra-ordinary valuation. We sat on the market for the 16weeks, having received only 5 viewings. We did not sell. We reduced twice over that period. They were polite and nice, but did not deliver on their prime objective, sell our house. Almost each time we emailed them, we received several 'out of office/annual leave' notices from the sale agents who were meant to be looking after our sale. We will not use them again to sell, and buy particularly now that we know they provide extra-ordinary valuations and hope for the best.

Unprofessional and misleading

The sales negotiator in the Clapham office was, in my experience, highly unprofessional and misleading regarding key property information. We were told inaccurate information about the service charge during the sales process, and when documentary evidence later contradicted what had been represented, there was no meaningful acknowledgement or accountability. This seriously undermined trust in the accuracy of the listing and the information provided. Buyers should independently verify all details and not rely solely on representations made during the sales process.

Don`t even pass trough by this company. awful as they can`t communicate. they keep offering you mortgatge adviser but they can`t sell a property. anytime i book viewing with barnard marcus i view the property you can1t keep in touch with one person. they even dont talke your offer properly, your position also missing from the form. you keep calling them but there is no clear answers.. they are there to just spend some time and get their sallary thats it..

AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

Paid company full management fees - failed to ask tenant to sign new contract, failed to notify us as Landlord. Tenant left early - huge amount of property damage. Barnard Marcus got all the quotes for remedial works and then failed to present to Ombudsman. Consequently we lost deposit and had to bear loss of rental income and all damage. Totally awful unprofessional deceitful company - AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

I was told by an acquaintance that all estate agents in the Epsom area were rubbish! Just as well then that I selected Barnard Marcus in Ewell to sell my late Mother's maisonette. They were friendly and efficient throughout the process and achieved a very acceptable value in very difficult marketing times. Communication was excellent and I was advised of all bookings, receiving feedback afterwards. Everyone there was on the ball and kept a close eye on things as we crept closer to completion. I would highly recommend Barnard Marcus to anyone selling, or buying, in the Ewell area.
