Hard working team

I just bought a house with chigwell douglas allen and i must say I'm very happy it was them dealing with me. I missed out on one before and robin was straight away showing me another one. Very lovely man. but i must say tanya was absolutely outstanding. There was many time when i thought that it wasnt going to happen but tanya was always there to keep it together. She works very hard. All of them did a lovely job for me even when i call in for a problem i think jordan and joe were very helpful. But i must say big big thank you to tanya, we were lucky to have her help

Sale of House

I required a quick sale in order to secure a house on which I had made an offer. Daniel from the Barkingside Branch gave me an honest opinion of the best way to go about a quick sale and stressed that the conversation would have been very different had I been asking for a straight valuation and been prepared to wait for a good price. As promised they began marketing the property as soon as I had signed up and the buyer had been secured before the photos had even been taken for the brochure. As recommended I had a board outside and a further 2 offers were received within the first week. Both Umad and Daniel were very helpful and when not available whoever answered the phone was able to quickly check my file and update me on progress. I also used Barnes & Partners Solicitors via the E-Move team as recommended by Douglas Allen as I felt it would be prudent to have the solicitors handling my sale and purchase working in close liaison with the Estate Agents. I have no complaints about their efficiency but I do feel that Andrew from the E-Move team was the more proactive in pushing forward with the exchange of contracts and keeping everyone informed of progress.I feel I made the right choice in Estate Agents and have no complaints.

I just recently bought a flat from Douglas Allen at East ham. I bumped into a gentleman called Hassan Anwar. What a man. Very professional, responsible and credible and transparent individual. Had good knowledge of properties which were shown. Kept me updated on my sale also gave me good advice. I would not hesitate to recommend Hassan to anyone and would want to buy off Mr Anwar again. 10 out 10. Not an average agent. Wish him all the best.

Thank you to all the Team at Douglas Allen Chingford, I was not looking forward to moving home again as I had a bad experience last time.Jess came to see me and out of the 4 agents I had the most confidence in her and all she would do to sell my home.After the meeting James and Jake came round to view my home and fee led me with even more confidence due to their enthusiasm. They arranged an open day and I received over my asking price within two weeks. Throughout the whole process of moving James and Natasha worked very hard to keep as stress free as possible. Really good.

We chose Douglas Allen due to their superior knowledge of the local market. Steve is about as enthusiastic as they come and we liked his energy. We had an open house and received lots of offers at the price we had hoped for. After negotiating we finished with a tidy little sum extra and this confirmed my belief that ‘You get what you pay for’. I liked the straight forward approach from this company and always felt like he valued us as customers even though we were not selling a million pound house,unlike one of the others I had seem who seemed to lack interest!

Douglas Allen Epping have been great through the whole process of finding and buying this house. We started the process with Marc, who showed us the house, answered our questions, and offered just the right amount of his own views but stepped back and let us look around on our own. When things were up in the air we were kept in the loop, and then once things were more certain we were handed over to Tanya, the sales progressor. She was fantastic! We really felt in safe hands, she looked after us, kept in touch with our solicitor and the seller's, really efficient, friendly and helpful. Made this stressful time easier and anyone who can do that is a miracle worker! Thanks Tanya :)

Really appreciated Jan who kindly showed us around a small bungalow which was not suitable but Jan was helpful and patient with my mother who is in her 80's.Very impressed with Jack who really felt I should see another bungalow on Douglas Allen's books - personally I wouldn't have thought it was right but when I did go to see it I couldn't have been more impressed and have since had my offer on that property accepted.Jack took the brief on what I was looking for and I'm so glad he gave me the gentle push I needed to make me go see it the property as it was perfect.Since then Jack has made sure I've been updated on progress, done a second viewing with my brothers and supplied me with room sizes I needed. Excellent service and attitude

I instructed Douglas Allen at their Epping branch having been dissatisfied with three previous agents. Douglas Allen did exactly what they said they would and got me more interest and more viewings than the other agents combined and in a shorter period of time. In the middle of my instruction period with Douglas Allen, the EU referendum threw the housing market into relative uncertainty, yet they still managed to sell the property for a satisfactory price. I dealt mainly with Paige and Alison at the Epping branch, who were always punctual and organised. Feedback from viewings or offers was swiftly acquired and passed onto me and any questions I had were answered promptly and to my satisfaction. Buying and selling houses is generally very stressful and time consuming and it was made easier by both Alison and Paige. Following the acceptance of an offer, Douglas Allen also provided me with a sales progressor to ensure that the actual exchange and completion was as swift as possible. Tanya was outstanding throughout and even sorted some issues that were bungled by my conveyancing solicitors. She assisted me with some legal issues unique to my property and updated me at a minimum twice a week regarding progress and anything required of me. I've bought and sold properties properties previously and never had a progressor to assist. Tanya acting in this role was a huge help and made things a lot easier. As a side note - one of the reasons Tanya was so good is that the solicitors were awful. Avoid JS Law like the plague. They were recommended to me by Douglas Allen originally and I assign no blame to them for this but I have updated them and would tell anyone seeking conveyancing that I would not recommend JS Law to my worst enemy.

Whilst it took nearly six months for the sale of my house to go through, this was not for the lack of any time or effort on the part of Maureen and her DA team. There must have been 50+ viewings of the property with 7 offers put in. The only frustrating part was the time taken trying to convert those offers into a confirmed sale but eventually we got one to stick. Special recognition must go to Andrew Bilby who co-ordinated the sale from the point the eventual winning offer was accepted. Andrew was proactive at all times - I never had to chase him for an update - and I fear that without him, the sale may not have successfully concluded. Thank you Maureen and co!

Wasn't impressed with sales and marketing, a lot of talk to get you to sign, then don't hear from them, hardly anyone turned up for 1st open house then second open house agent was late and I ended up doing it myself! 2% fees high compared to other agencies.However, after sales was brilliant particularly Andrew Bilby who was constantly in touch & really pushing to get the transaction dealt with quickly due to my family situation and school places. It was great to have his honest, hardworking support because of him my sale went through in 10weeks. I also was impressed with Callum at the walthamstow branch who went out of his way to try and sort out the situation when our buyers pulled a fast one!Overall I would use Douglas Allen again but wouldn't be as naive next time with my expectations.

Great service

We received a great service from the Chingford branch.Every team member was brilliant, from dealing with Sean when I first enquired about a property who was fantastic. He listened to what I wanted rather than trying to get me to view every property on the books like other estate agents do. Jess who come to value our property, who was absolutely lovely and kept me up to date on everything going on from selling our property to informing me of new properties that suited us. Jake was also great keeping me updated with viewings and feedback. James was there helping and informing me of offers/feedback. Saif was brilliant with helping me and guiding me with my mortgage and what was best for us.As a whole they are a great team and communicate brilliantly between them to make sure that we got the service we expect.They are all very friendly and make you feel very welcome when entering thier office, I will definitely be recommending them and will use in the future when it comes to selling & looking again.
