I contacted Douglas Allen for a desktop valuation quote and spoke to a chap called David. I have to say he was very good and really helpful. He patiently took the time to answer all your questions with honesty and even offered additional advice to improve the selling price of my property. He knows his stuff and have given me detailed, honest advice with my best interests at heart and I have now walked away from this conversation with him with a definitive strategy.

Unprofessional! Dishonest staff.

Unprofessional! Tried to arrange a viewing of a property with this estate agent - Chadwell Heath office. They took our details at the beginning of the week - that we're not in a chain, mortgage in place, budget etc. Agent told us he would get back to us about a viewing. Didn't hear anything at the end of the day or following morning. So I called and enquired what's happening? They said they were trying to sort out a date with the seller. This went on all week always the same reply. We have not had this experience with any other agent; a long delay in sorting out a viewing or not being forthcoming with information as we asked is the property 'under offer'. Friday afternoon my husband calls again same thing. Later this evening I see the property shows on a website as 'sold stc'. They wasted our time by not just sharing basic information that an offer is being considered. Many other agents have the decency and professionalism to do this. Told a few other people this evening what happened and when I told them who the agent was. They all had negative experiences of this estate agent. Spoke to several of their staff over the week between my husband and I. Hope this makes others aware what they're like and they'll waste your time.

Really happy with the service I’m receiving from Douglas Allen Walthamstow. As a first time single buyer navigating the process Faisal has debunked the jargon and exposed the myths behind high street banks making the steps I need to secure my first property clear, simple and achievable. I telephoned Douglas Allen Chingford, whilst on my way to view new property's in Wellingborough. The reason I contacted DA was because I had purchased in 2005 and was extremely happy with the service. That day an appointment was made for a valuation for James and Kaitlin to come round. They visited me last Friday and within less than a week I have had over 8 viewings without it even being online or pictures being taken. I have an offer already which is absolutely amazing. A highly proactive and organised team

I have been so impressed by the Douglas Allen team at Walthamstow during the purchase of our new home. Laura in particular has been really efficient and helpful at arranging access for us into the property and at returning my calls and emails. At every stage, calls and emails have been returned quickly, with helpful responses. Laura even called me after our offer was accepted to congratulate me, which has never happened before with any of our previous sales. I've really felt like I've had my hands held through this entire process, instead of it being something I've had to chase in order to get anything done. which has been my experience with other real estate agents in the past. My contact at Douglas Allen, Tanya Keene, has kept me up to date during the sale and made it a much simpler process. It has been a quite emotional time as the flat was my mum's home for around 40 years and she had been living there until she was 97 years old and then had to go into a care home for the last 5 years. Excellent service!

After frankly dreadful service from another agent I dumped them and decided to market my house with Douglas Allen. And I'm so glad I did. they were professional, friendly and effective straight from the off. My house went online with them on a Monday morning and that afternoon they phoned to book two viewings in the next couple of days. All in all, I had well over ten viewings in the first two weeks, resulting in three offers. Unfortunately, the first offer I accepted fell through and the team were on the case immediately. Long story short, they contacted the other two offers and we negotiated a sale with one of them. I am now settling into my new home in Dorset and very grateful for their help in my achieving my dream. They were consistently prompt and clear in communication, helpful, friendly and the viewings were well selected. The whole team were great but I should mention Maria for leading the process with skill and enthusiasm and Ben, who helped out effectively in a couple of sticky moments. They really showed me how a good estate agency should work!

Douglas Allen Barkingside found me a buyer for my house within a few days of putting it on the market. Unfortunately this buyer couldn't complete and Douglas Allen recommended putting the house back up for sale. Within 24 hours they had found another buyer and in a few short weeks, I have completed. During the process I have phoned Douglas Allen many times and have found that whichever member of the team took my call they were always up to speed with my case and always friendly and helpful.
