Great experience with Shuhan Ali at MG

Had a great viewing last weekend with Shuhan Ali at Martyn Gerrard. Shuhan was super kind and helpful, showing us every aspect of the property, explaining all the details, and even had all the extra info handy, such as exact service costs, ground rents, as well details on the leasehold agreement re: extensions, etc. He even had helpful suggestions on how the some aspects of the interior could be tweaked to suit our specific needs and concerns. He's also been great at following up and sharing new ideas. Overall, great experience, and highly recommended!

I have had a tenancy for 8 years straight with MG. I must express that over all the years with MG and experiences with other agencies I have never come across an agent that has put so much effort and time to a tenant. I want to say a massive thank you to Fatmir, who has helped in so many ways and gone above and beyond to assure my requests and managing my end of tenancy. MG never let Fatmir go! Very rare to find someone who has passion and quality services that can deliver and provide quality experiences, especially for tenants. Most off all agencies and staff put all the effort into landlords, and even though my 8 year of tenancy has ended, the process and service I got from Fatmir was as if I was to continue my tenancy and wasn’t treated as one of many. Time was spent and process on delivery was met.

Good honest team in both sales and lettings

I have been using Martyn Gerrard N8 branch since 1987 for both sales and lettings. They have always been fair and honest but I must particularly give credit to Sales Negotiator Treon Johnson who breaks the stereotype of Estate Agents past. Treon is honest and trustworthy, always putting the client first and for this I thank him personally for exceptional phone manner and kindness.

We recently bought and sold our home with MG and were very impressed with the service we received. They were able to find us a buyer by doing an open house viewing and secured us an offer within 24 hours. In the meantime, Scott did a brilliant job finding us our dream home which met all our requirements. Jatin was fantastic in managing our sale and purchase - he constantly kept us informed throughout the whole process. Gintare Pauliunaite was a pleasure to work with when she took on the letting of my flat. She shared with me every step taken and always responded to my calls efficiently and as soon as it was possible. She is a top professional and respected all the points and conditions we discussed before she introduced the tenants that now occupy the flat. It was challenging as they were renting from abroad and could only visit the property on a video she provided to them. She managed to get all the moves right. Stay away!!!

Scamming company with questionable practices, including initiating repair work without obtaining our prior agreement or consent. What's truly unsettling is that these repairs should have been covered by insurance, a fact confirmed by insurance company. MG unilaterally hired contractors, subsequently sending us the bills. To make matters worse, our repeated requests for invoices detailing the work completed have gone unanswered. Request for severer roof leak has been dragged on and on, still no update or action after numerous emails and calls in 1.5 months. It's deeply troubling that Martyn Gerrard continues these practices, seemingly with little regard for ethical or legal standards. Unfortunately, it appears that the only viable course of action to halt these practices and protect our rights is to consider pursuing legal measures.Edit: Message to the review managing person:It might seem more responsible to do a proper investigation first before accusing your customer's complaint being inaccurate. Based on the experience with the person I interacted with, it's consistent pattern that no evidence provided for statements or allegations. Thought it is an individual case, now look at the response from the review management team, it seems like more than a individual behaviour.

I had some contact with Jessica Haines @ Martyn Gerrard East Finchley who has been letting our properties for several years. I should have completed a review long before now . Jessica is not only very impressive and very efficient in all the work she has done on behalf of my husband and myself but she is incredibly patient and the most human person we have encountered amongst estate agents in the past 20 to 30 years . She belies all the negative stereotypes there are regarding estate agents and if there are any rewards going..she more than deserves some of the top ones available.

Kyri from the North Finchley / Muswell Hill office has a god-given tenacity, extracting information from the chain, ably managing solicitors and various challenges, and delivering in what was probably one of the most stressful experiences my family (and I'm sure for others in the chain), have been through. Craig (Kyri's manager) stepped in when Kyri was on leave. The main focus of our appreciation is to Kyri for helping us secure a house that our family will enjoy for many years.

Personalised, organised and friendly Estate Agents

We chose Martyn Gerrard to list our flat with for a number of reasons. Firstly because they were so helpful when we were initially looking to buy- Martin in particular was very informative and helpful without being pushy which we found to be a real problem with other Estate Agents in London. We loved our flat and wanted to make it work for us longer term so went to Martyn Gerrard for advice on purchasing the loft space above it. Mark came round and had a good discussion with us, he was so knowledgeable and to the point, and saved us a lot of hassle and probable financial headaches too. He kept us on file and got in contact when similar flats had sold in the area after a dry spell which was incredibly lucky for us- this meant we were able to sell quickly (4 days!) and to a buyer they had faith in. For the sale we dealt with Mark and Annie together who were unfailingly friendly and positive, and always on the ball. They knew the completion date we were aiming for and did everything in their power to make it happen- and they did. We are really grateful and would really recommend Martyn Gerrard for anyone who wants a truly personalised and personable service.
