We’re lucky to have Wai Lee as our Block Manager. Since Mr Lee on board, we have seen improvement around our property from landscape clean-up to removal of previous block management’s name plate and flyers. Mr Lee takes time to visit property for an on-site inspection from the building itself to the details such as the utility room’s door lock in order to identify areas that need immediate attention. Mr Lee responds to feedbacks promptly; he then analyses the situation and takes necessary actions accordingly. Thank you Wai Lee for all your hard work.

From start to finish we had an excellent selling experience with Martyn Gerrard Estate Agents East Finchley. Abby did a stellar job handling all the initial aspects of our sale, from getting our initial contract signed to pricing to arranging photography and videography. I want to especially praise Gabriella, Raphael and Nick, all of whom are excellent estate agents who took equal care in showing our property with as much enthusiasm for the last showings as they had for the initial showings. They never gave up and continued to provide sound advice as our home selling journey continued. The team worked seamlessly together, keeping us regularly well-informed throughout the entire process. Jay Yildrim at the Mill Hill Office showed me around 4 properties on Saturday afternoon. I was impressed by the way that Jay organised and coordinated these viewings so well. Jay was friendly, professional, had a hugely impressive level of knowledge about each property and couldn’t have been more helpful. We walked to the first 2 properties that were close to the office and then Jay actually drove me to the other two apartments. He even took the trouble to make small detours to show me the general area. Jay is a fantastic ambassador for Martyn Gerrard Estate Agents. 11/10 at least! Thank you Jay for going not just the extra mile, but the extra 10 miles. Extraordinarily excellent customer service and care.

Dealt with Craig after an initial hickup when it came to purchasing our first home via MG. The property was a full refub job ( was also our first house purchase ) and therefore, required a lot of back and fourth with the owners in order to come to an agreement on the purchase price. Craig and his team did a great job of working with both sides to ensure everyone ended up a fair price. We didnt buy the most expensive house by any stretch but we got the time and consideration you would expect from your agent and then some. Would highly recommend Craig and his team to either list or help you buy a property. Craig - we will see you when its time to sell ;)

I have had a very good experience with Martyn Gerrard so far. I used them to find a tenant for a flat in November 2020 and I worked with Anthony Spittle. He was honest, efficient and helpful and found me a super tenant and explained the process well. Compared to some agents fees I found Martyn Gerrard's fair and good value. I would recommend using this agency to let a property.

GoogleMy partner and I recently placed a deposit for an apartment and were initially eager to move forward. However, our experience with Gergana, the representative handling our case, was nothing short of frustrating. She repeatedly requested the same documents, even after we had already submitted them, demonstrating a lack of organization and attention to detail. From the beginning, we informed them that we were uncomfortable with providing access to our online banking information and had submitted all other requested documents. Despite this, we were continuously pressured and even threatened to comply with their unreasonable demands. This level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable. To make matters worse, when we decided to move forward despite our reservations, Andrew, the manager, exhibited a condescending and invasive attitude. He questioned our personal living situation in a manner that was both disrespectful and inappropriate. At no point were we informed that our deposit was non-refundable, and the way this situation was handled feels like an intentional deception. We believe it is unethical, and potentially illegal, for them to withhold our deposit under these circumstances. The lack of transparency, respect, and professionalism we encountered has left us feeling cheated and disrespected. Such practices should not be allowed, and I strongly advise others to be cautious when dealing with this company.
Hi Madina. Your partner left the same review a week or so ago. As we explained there was an issue verifying certain aspects of your references. To resolve this and allow the rental process to move forward, we offered the option of using open banking. Of course, it's entirely your choice whether to provide these details. However, without successfully passing the reference checks, we were unable to go forward with the tenancy as the landlord did not wish to proceed without the correct reference checks being completed. We had explained this but apologise if our explanation wasn't clear.

GoogleThis review has been edited to respond to Martyn Gerrard. Yes, you were correct in stating that if the reference doesn't go through, we will lose our deposit. However, I clearly informed you that I did not want to use online banking, and I was given the option to decline at the start of my application. I provided all the other requested information, which matched perfectly. Despite this, I was told that my payslips looked like something that could be bought off eBay. I also offered a guarantor to support my application, but this was rejected. I then offered to pay six months' rent upfront, which was also rejected, followed by an offer to pay one year's rent upfront, which was still rejected. I only wanted that house because it was close to family. I would advise everyone to ask all the necessary questions and be cautious to avoid being scammed by this company. Beware of this real estate company, they're dishonest. They pressure you to pay a deposit before discussing your salary and then demand reference checks. Even after I provided all necessary documents, they insisted on accessing my bank account, despite my refusal from the start. They threatened to keep my deposit if I didn't comply, even though connecting to open banking was supposed to be optional. If they give you an option, you shouldn't lose your deposit for choosing not to connect.

We bought our first house, as advertised by Martyn Gerrard, and we couldn't be happier with the experience. Jaysuri and Umit were extremely helpful, professional, and responsive throughout all stages of process. All communication was clear, as well as passing messages from and to vendor. We had multiple viewings and they were very accommodating and arranged it in some cases on a very short notice. Highly recommended.
