I highly recommend Mark Latham of Stirling Ackroyd as your Estate Agent in the Egham area. Mark and Ben, and the rest of Mark’s team, did an outstanding job marketing and selling our family home in Egham. Their experience, dedication, care, and communication were excellent throughout the sales process, during both the active search for a qualified buyer and the subsequent process of bringing the sale to completion. Mark is direct and honest and understands the Egham market extremely well. A good listener, he understood that I was looking for a “go to market” strategy that wasn’t just “price the house at a low price to get a quick sale, and if after two weeks we hadn’t identified a qualified buyer it must be that the price is too high” (this was the typical approach other local agents in the area were recommending to us). Mark stood out among his competitors by his enthusiasm and willingness to showcase the home’s value and unique features, and to find the right buyer for our house. We knew we needed a team willing to put in extra effort to find the right person who appreciated the differentiation and potential the house offered while understanding that some updating would be required. Mark made a point to appreciate the unique qualities of the home and understood that I wanted someone to market it the right way, be patient, and put the effort in to find the right buyer and at a good price. Mark and his team genuinely engaged with each potential buyer to understand their needs and whether they were the right match for the house, not just financially qualified. Mark’s team was willing to work hard getting people in to view the property and did not tire of the effort even after a few weeks. Being in Sales and Marketing myself I wanted to find an agent with an exceptional level of professionalism that stood out above the other agents I interviewed, and without the hard sell approach. I appreciate that Mark’s communication was reliable, timely, and proactive. I always felt that I was a top priority for him personally and that he maintained a high level of activity and drive to make the sale happen despite many viewings. I highly recommend Mark Latham of Stirling Ackroyd as your Estate Agent in the Egham area. He is personable and professional, understands the area and how to market and price the property, and he is dedicated finding a qualified buyer who is really excited to be the new owner, and who is willing to pay a fair price for the value and potential they appreciate in the property.

Typical letting agent sadly. Landlord breached tenancy agreement on three occasions by entering the property unannounced. Hole in the ceiling for several months that can only be looked at once a year which is again a contract breach. Landlord had property sale documents sent to me in error but the letting agent tried to deny what these were. These people are disgustingly one sided shysters and despite being evidently in the wrong will turn it round and bully the tenant.

If you plan to rent privately, I suggest you avoid this agency! EDIT TO RESPONSE BELOW: - You charged me £600 in admin fees. And lost it TWICE! I had to CHASE YOU to sort it out with the branch to find it. (This was when admin fees were allowed). - When I lodged a complaint in about our landlord falsifying documentation amd communications and breaking clauses in the contract, that YOU guys set up on behalf of them. You literally wiped your hands clean and said you 'couldn't help'. -You gave us hours notice to show potential next tenants the property that we were leaving. Illegal. By law you have to give 24 hours. -Check out with you was the most STRESSFUL thing ever. Leading up, you didn't know what was happening. Kept changing the plans and decided half way through the day on checkout to change again ,where we had to travel hours BACK to the offices just to give you the keys!NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

I have rented my property through Townends since 2012 and have been consistently satisfied with their service. The changeover between tenants has been handled promptly and efficiently and the property has not been vacant once in six years. Maintenance issues are communicated and dealt with swiftly. Most recently I have been dealing with Rominder Virdi at the Egham office and she has been more than helpful in steering me through the torturous local government form-filling that has just come into effect. I'm happy to recommend Townends to anyone who wants to let a property with a minimum of stress.

Please... do not put yourself at risk by using these people. They had no idea about the property condition until 5days before moving in date, despite indicating otherwise The "virtual viewing" video they sent to me, was not filmed by them and did not represent the issues with the property They "arranged" an in-person viewing a week in advance... well a week in advance with me, they apparently didn't call the tenant until that day and he understandably blew them off. They wanted me to drop 6months upfront rent because I wasn't moving out of my current property before moving into theirs... something I am very grateful for now. When they finally checked the property, they said it was uninhabitable, that issues had been outstanding for months but they would be sure to "raise the issues with the landlord"...

The agents are rude and arrogant, showing no respect. They also use manipulative tactics to push buyers into overpaying. Save yourself the trouble and avoid Stirling Ackroyd!!!

Very poor communication and wasted our time. They’ll advertise a property to rent then will increase the asking price once they know you’re interested. Asked us to meet with the landlord at their office and we were there 20 mins waiting for them and we ended up walking out. No acknowledgement/communication or apology from them either. Glad we went elsewhere.

Everyone on the team is friendly and helpful, a special shout out to Riya Preston who went above and beyong, doing a skype viewing of the properties as I was out of the country. She was completely honest about each property and I did end up choosing her personal recomendation. 2 months on I'm loving my new flat and can't rate these people higher 5/5 best estate agents in the area.
