GoogleUmega has made my first experience of letting out my property as smooth and painless as it could be, picking up lots of the preparation work to get it ready for market. Kim has been a great point of contact for me, always keeping me up to date and helping out with advice, with an upbeat attitude that helped keep my spirits up through some long delays from utility providers! The virtual tour of the property is brilliant, it's a much better way to get an idea of the place than just static photos that I've seen on many other sites.

GoogleAwful maintenance and response team. The flat I'm renting is nearly a grand a month. There was a mouse problem which took weeks to fix, I found mouse droppings in many places. The boiler was leaking gas and I had to call the emergency services. The TV went off with a bang, which was compensated relatively quick. Now the bed has been broken for over 2 months since I reported the problem and is still not fixed. The cistern also takes forever to fill up and have no response from the team after a week. Is the team ran by Uni students??? Just not very professional at all. Edit: It has been a month since I have written the review, I'm still waiting for a new bed, I have written to the department manager and have received nothing for two weeks, this is beyond a joke.
Hi Henry, thank you for your feedback and we're so sorry things have not been straightforward and so much has gone wrong. I've looked into the situation and understand we took on your property from another agent with a number of outstanding issues. While we're only as strong as our contractors I understand that it took way longer than we both would have wanted for the pest control (mice) and plumber (cistern) to attend. We're implementing new software which will help stop things like this slipping through the cracks, once we've instructed contractors. I also understand the bed is under warranty so the landlord is on the case with this - it's frustrating how long these things can take sometimes. Your relationship manager will be in touch to arrange to visit and discuss anything outstanding and any other feedback you have. Thanks again and so sorry things have dragged on....

GoogleI use Umega to manage my Edinburgh property portfolio. Umega really are 5-stars - I don't even have to think about the properties. Editing the review one year on; still the same, or maybe even better! Editing the review again months later; still 5 stars, great team, well run. Update: Just had maintenance done by Umega's Gaspar Garcia at short notice between lets to work around covid regulations. Great work, thanks Umega and Gaspar, flat now being re-let. Editing the review again. Umega have let the property out in December during lockdown! That's good work. Editing the review again+again, Rebecca and her team have done a superb job of moving tenants in during January lockdown. Editing yet again in April 2021... well done to all the Umega people for getting their tenants, landlords and properties through the lockdown. This shows the real depth of skills and hard work that they bring to letting.
So good to hear this Tim, I will share the love with the team.

GoogleFinding a suitable property in Edinburgh was rather difficult, but thanks to the team at Umega, particularly staff members Alison and Rebecca I was able to find a fantastic flat in an ideal location. Both memebers of the Umega team were extremely helpful in finding and securing the property as they were able to answer all my questions and made the entire process rather simple. It is safe to say the team at Umega look after their customers, so thanks again Alison and Rebecca!

GoogleWe have used Umega over the last 5 years to rent out our small flat and they have gone from strength to strength. Abi Clark has been exceptional in the last few months liasing between us and our tenants as we have moved into the property ourselves for a while. Caroline Franceschi has been a gem from the start with nothing being a problem to sort out. We have been really lucky with our Umega team ( including Shona another great worker in that team). We will have no hesitation in using this letting agency again.

Fast forward my wasted time with other Agency - I came across Umega - wow what a difference!!! For first time I actually felt that person who is corresponding with me actually cares about me. Can't remember all the names (Yasemin, Rebecca and few more sorry I've missed your name...) but it was dealt with Extremely high level of customer care, clearly and effectively making this process stressless. GoogleMegan was excellent! I have to say I was very impressed by the VF team but especially Megan Sibson. As first time buyers we went to see a number of properties, and offered on a couple (some with VF some not). Megan at VF was excellent at answering our emails quickly, calling back if missed, and did a great job at keeping the chain together and being a link between us and our vendors. She was very understanding and empathetic with all our concerns, when putting all your life savings into something that’s exactly what you need! I would highly recommend VF, and should we ever sell we will certainly use again in the future.
