TrustpilotCollapsed outside wall annoying
Have been waiting since October 2022 for PFP to remove bricks and rubble from a wall that collapsed during a storm. This was a new wall, original collapsed February last year bringing down 3 fences. In spite of requests with photos nobody has arranged to take away the bricks adjoining to where I live with my disabled husband. It's an ugly scene and must now surely be a health and safety issue. Majority of staff are helpful It's just the management not arranging contractors to do the work.

Very reluctant to do repairs , waited about 5yrs to get a bit of fencing repaired, will probably have to wait longer to have a deterioting concrete patio repaired, All you get is , it's on the fencing programme, or it's on the concrete programme, but they don't tell you how long their programme is !

TrustpilotBroken intercom
The original complaint was raised in February and I am now on my fifth failed appointment have complained and emailed the area manager about this and another matter of used syringes and rubbish being left in communal areas with no reply even though there is a company policy to reply within 3 days. Absolute shambles when it comes to getting anything done.As of June 5 we now have a working intercom But the door does not lock The people running these properties should be fired asap They are incapable of running it The complaints procedure is nonexistent

TrustpilotDisappointed and let down by Places for People
I am totally disgusted by the maintenance service places for people provide!! I have a nest of rats in my pipe outside my bathroom (which is blocking my toilet) and PFP maintenance dept have cancelled the appointment three times for someone to come out to place a rat blocker in the pipe. I was told over a week ago that a company would phone me to arrange an appointment for them to come out to resolve the rate problem! I have requested a manager several times to contact me and no one has, this has been going now for 2 months... This is a health and safety issue, but they don't seem bothered that the rat problem could turn into a infestation! I am seriously thinking of complaining to the director of places for people!

TrustpilotAbsolute joke of a company
Absolute joke of a company, can't wait for the contract with sage to finish. When they make a bit of effort they'll put it on Facebook to make it look like they've done something but they don't actually enforce rules if it's easier for them to ignore, even the zero tolerance rules. Try get in contact with them and they'll keep transferring you to somewhere else, even transferred me to sage, when sage are paying them to do the things I've been complaining about. As expected a generic reply asking me to message customer service, why don't you check your emails?funny that you reply to public complaints so quickly but can't reply to emails.

TrustpilotI think all the negative reviews on…
I think all the negative reviews on here are unfair, biased and quite frankly not necessary! To many emotionally unstable people. Quite happy to take the keys, agree the tenancy agreements. Next minute dodge paying rent, stall and make excuses time after time. PFP have been loyal, fair and very understanding throughout the lockdown periods. Extending and going beyond government milestones in respect to eviction bans. PFP willingly going out of pocket to support its tenants in a time of need. Allowing breathing space and payment plans. The average person won't rate the experience as 5/5 as you would expect.. This is most probably due to a breakdown in personal relations between the tenant and PFP. To many times people pushing boundaries Enough is enough! Take responsibilities. If you cannot afford the rent, surrender the tenancy and mitigate costs for all parties and stop complaining on here. Rate the overall experience fairly.

TrustpilotCraig the plumber and Matt the electrician!
I had a plumber attend my property (Craig) he was so helpful, I had a worried little girl here and he went out of his way to get her a video of the loft to show her how safe it was! He went above and beyond and was very thorough! Explained everything and has gone out his way to help raise jobs for me! Also Matt the electrician came round previous, to Craig and made sure to show me pictures and proof that there wasn’t a leak like I thought! Both extremely friendly and happy individuals it’s nice to not have a grumpy builder! And even better when they help reassure a very anxious little girl!

Horrible customer service! Supposed to be getting a new kitchen fitted as mine is beyond repair. Reported in April. Was supposed to be fixed in July, emptied kitchen out and booked day off work, only for them to show up saying no parts were ordered! Had it rebooked for today, again booked a day off work and emptied kitchen, text message saying rebooked for December, parts unavailable! Lost so many wages now and fed up.

TrustpilotAvoid very strange people
Wow 😮 strange peoples, don’t log any interactions - either agreements by email or telephone so constantly have to explain everything from a new customer perspective 14 months in. This company must have demolished a Brazillian rainforest on their own sending out unnecessary paperwork requesting contact on same issues repeatedly. Every different person there as zero knowledge of what each other has done so expect many duplicate letters about old issues even long ago resolved ones. I’m left beyond understanding how they even function at all all I can say is they are Strange 🤷🏼

TrustpilotPlease read before you bid, or apply, for a PFP property.
I cannot stress how much of a shambles this company is. It amazes me that there is such incompetence between the staff, with little or no record of any phone call, and with customer service ringing up about the same issue constantly. Only for me to explain myself 4 times, to 4 different people. This is the tip of the iceberg. I would certainly avoid this company at all costs. The staff at the customer service are condescending and quite frankly, rude. From the five years experience I have had with these fools, I am struggling to find a positive about this company which needs professionally reviewing, as the practices they demonstrate are shambolic. Please, for your mental health, and your sanity, do NOT rent or purchase a house from this company. The majority of houses PFP offer are in a state of disrepair. The building works which are carried out when a tenant leaves are shoddy. The floors are not sealed, there are cracks in at least 1 room per 6 houses I have visited, which is a massive contribution to damp. When this is reported, PFP simply respond with "this is something that YOU must deal with." They fail to understand they were supposed to fix a problem, so instead they would rather temporarily patch over the issue to make the next tenants happy. Until about a month in when the new tenants realise that the contractors did indeed fix nothing.PFP advertise themselves as affordable, but when you look into the facilities they offer, including the support you receive from the company, you soon realise it is nothing more than a scam. This April, my rent was upped by about £20 a month. When I look at the breakdown, I can see that Landscaping takes up quite a portion of the service charges... Yet there is no garden or landscaping on my property that needs doing. There is no grass. No vegetation. The local community does a better job of keeping the surroundings tidy as opposed to the embarrassing service PFP offers. If this landscaping charge was to compensate for the small pitch of grass about 400 metres away from my property, then why are we paying £5 a week for it to be cut once a year? It's a joke.Avoid.

TrustpilotI feel it is my duty to share my…
I feel it is my duty to share my negative experience with the housing association. In my time living in one of their properties, I have encountered numerous issues that have gone unresolved despite repeated attempts to bring them to the attention of management.First and foremost, the maintenance of the property has been subpar at best. There are ongoing issues with water leaking making the property health and issue unsafe and despite multiple complaints, the housing association has not taken any action to address these concerns.Furthermore, the communication from the housing association has been consistently poor. When trying to get in touch with management to address issues or ask questions, I have found it difficult to reach anyone or get a timely response. This lack of communication has made it nearly impossible to get anything done or make any progress on my concerns. To add insult to injury, the rent for the property is much higher than what I believe it is worth given the state of the property and the lack of attention to tenant concerns.Overall, I cannot recommend this housing association to anyone seeking a quality living experience. The issues I have faced have made my time here miserable, and I urge anyone considering renting from this association to think twice before doing so.

TrustpilotAnti social behavior/ outstanding repairs
After having read a lot of the reviews on here it seems I'm in the same situation as many others. Not even sure where to start to be honest. I've been having problems with anti social behavior from my neighbours for over a year now with very loud music day and night. Followed Cotmans procedure by sending in recordings only to be told that the music isn't loud enough even though my local council have confirmed it very much is. Finally a letter was sent to my neighbours but the issue continued and I had to complain several more times until another letter was sent and that was all Cotman seemed willing to do. They have basically sent a clear message to my neighbours that they can do what they like as there will be no consequences.Really can't see why it clearly states in my tenancy that anti social behaviour won't be tolerated when quite clearly it will be very much tolerated. The issue then worsened and my neighbours son became verbally abusive towards me and they started throwing rubbish and cigarette ends into my garden. Once again I did not retaliate, I just sent in pictures to Cotman as instructed to do so. This time a housing officer attended their property to speak to them in person but my neighbours made up false allegations against me with no proof whatsoever purely to deflect the issue and Cotman have basically said they can't do anything more. If you have an issue and follow the proper procedure in an adult manner it gets you nowhere. Funny how my complaints wouldn't be investigated without providing plenty of proof but they can say what they like with no proof and the issue against them gets dropped! Quite clear it's just too much time, money and effort to actually deal with it properly. Also I have many outstanding repairs ranging from rotten windows which don't even close properly leaving over a cm gap and which get bad mould around them to a bathroom floor which is sinking. The windows clearly need replacing as you can't repair a wooden window frame that has warped and no longer fits properly but I've been told there is zero chance of that happening. My bathroom floor is apparently not an emergency either even though after inspection I was told to be very careful as the floor could collapse but is a two month wait for it to be repaired. Furthermore because my existing floor has to be ripped up to access the repair I have been told that I will need to pay to replace the floor afterwards. How is that fair? The man who inspected it said the damage has not been caused by anything I have done just poorly fitted floor boards so my floor being ripped up is due to a building error and in my view a new floor should be laid by PfP/Cotman. I feel very let down by Cotman/Places for people and wonder why I even pay my rent which increases every year when nothing seems to be included. I am seriously considering going higher to the housing association Ombudsman/local press and local MP as when you contact customer service you get no response anyway.

I didn’t want to even give one star but had no choice!Dreadful company to deal with. Had workmen around 5 times to take photos and assess damage (what a waste of their time). Still nothing sorted since September. The leak has caused damp and mould, wrecked the flooring and lifted the floorboards and is an accident waiting to happen with my elderly dad. Have rung up and spoken to various people including a Julie and Amanda who have never rung back when they said they would. When you ring up there is more than one Julie and Amanda! Anyway I have just called again and hopefully will be sorted.

If I could score below 1, I would! We moved back in Ocotober 2022 and we still have outstanding issue that they are unable to fix. We had damaged flooring which we raised the day we moved into the property, which they tried blaming us. We are unable to use our garden because it is flooded. Our shed is also sinking at the back. The standard and quality of the house is shocking. Don't even get me started on their Aftercare team, not sure what their job is but it certainly isn't to help or advice their clients/customers which is us! Would never buy a house through them again, certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone and because of our experience and our house we will be moving within a couple of years.
