I was recommended Mov8 by a colleague of mine and I am so glad I used them. From the first visit by Tony the surveyor I felt we had made a great choice for them to sell our home. Ben's (our property consultant) advice and help was brilliant throughout the whole process. Also a huge thanks to Emma and Lucinda who booked in numerous viewings for us so efficiently and were absolutely amazing. Every member of the Mov8 team in Edinburgh that I also dealt with have been 100% amazing. We are using them to buy our new house as well due to the fantastic service and friendly nature of the whole team. Thanks again

GoogleIf I could give zero stars, I would. The first phone call was with the guy called Andy (I didn't get his last name). He talked to me in the tone with annoyance and didn't answer my questions properly. He promised to get in touch after reviewing my case. It took more than a week. I had to call again. Then, I first contacted Robyn Fleming on the 12th of January 2021. Since then, I had to send numerous emails to Robyn and Leah McGibbon to get a response or to get something done. It took weeks for the compliance team to contact me. According to Leah, the compliance team was not thinking that my case is not urgent since my house will be finished by July. Even after I followed up with the necessary documents, I still have to send three emails to Leah to give me an update in 2 weeks period. There was no response. If they couldn't act on my behalf, they should have contacted me earlier or updated me with whatever they are doing. They wasted a lot of my time and effort with the whole process whereby I could have been doing that with another firm. I am so not happy with their services and the way they treated the customers.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

We heard about this team via our house developer and builders, from the moment we made initial contact, the team were fantastic at getting straight back to us with any questions and queries we had. The quote we received was realistic and very fair for what we required. Other firms charged much more than Mov8. They made the process really easy for us from start to finish. The information they gave us about the whole process of buying a house made it again really easy. We were not overwhelmed at all during the process. Mov8 have been incredible from the outset. Purchasing your first home comes with stress and lots of information that you don’t necessarily understand, however Mov8 made us feel so calm, gave us a lot of insight and are incredibly knowledgable. Any queries or questions we had, they responded imminently. We predominantly dealt with Tracey and Robyn who have been absolutely phenomenal. Anyone else in Mov8 that we either spoke to via telephone or sent across an email were the same. It’s brilliant to see a team where everyone’s proficient and wanting to help. Thank you for making our first home process as simple and efficient as possible.
Buying your first home can be very stressful indeed but not with MOV8, we aim to make things as simple and as straightforward as we can right from the start. Good luck in your new home!

Dear Thuzar, we are obviously disappointed to read your comments and can fully appreciate your frustration at having to seek alternative representation in this matter. It is worth noting however that our legal team spent a great deal of time, many hours in fact, examining all of the information available to us before concluding that we could not continue to act whilst remaining compliant under the current Law Society guidelines. It is very seldom where we find we cannot act for a client under these circumstances and can assure you that every effort was made on that front. Easy communication and because of Covid-19 all communications were by email or phone so no need for traveling back and forward to the office.Photography of our property was amazing and made the place look very good.The 3D walkabout was also useful as the property can be view virtually which cut down on the amount of people inside your property.All the staff were professional and knowledgeable and easy to talk with.Special thanks to Emma Jefferson who conversed several times with our buyer to come to a good mutual agreement.

Reading good reviews online i was extremely disappointed with my service, especially given Mov8 aren't the cheapest in the market either. To be clear, I write this review and my initial expectations with consideration to COVID and its impact to the market and business. To start, the initial meeting, I was given an outline of the service I would receive and their understanding of the local market. I was promised 1 contact who I could speak to 7 days a week, even by text message. Reality is you get a single sales email address that is then triaged which I find causes delays and by the end of the sale I had over 10 different people contacting me. I was also told that properties in my area go to closing date no problem at all. Straight away, I had to chase replies to actually get my property onto the marketOnce on the market, I was constantly chasing up information from Mov8. Feedback was not forthcoming from viewings and no contact was made with me to discuss post viewings. When I raised this I was told feedback "is not going to be what essentially sells the property". Personally I would expect feedback as a minimum requirement to understand the market and any adjustments to be made.I did receive a decent offer early on. After discussion with Mov8, I was advised it was early on in the sale, and that we would want to go to a closing date to maximize sale potential, I agreed based on what we discussed so I declined. However only a few weeks later I was told previous flats sold in my development never went to closing date at all and were just right offer right time, contradicting what I had been told multiple times before and Ultimately if I had known this I would not have declined the offer. Eventually the flat sold for 7k LESS than initial offer.The sale process did pick up once Louise took over my property, and she was in constant contact before and after each viewing and also sending updates on advert performance etc. During the conclusion of the sale of my property, the problems began again - no information, lack of response, no explanation of service disruption. Over the space of 2 weeks in January they did not reply to 4 separate emails (I was due to conclude start of February) one of which was questioning a fee i was charged incorrectly for. I also called and had no replies. When I challenged Mov8 I was literally shouted at, and told they do not need to explain anything to me and that I was not their priority at that time. It was clear how much stress the staff were under as I was also told about personal covid issues however as the customer paying for a service this is not acceptable. My girlfriend used Purple Bricks to sell her flat the year before, and for a 3rd of the price. Their service surpassed Mov8 in everyway. Strange that a company whos ethos is manage the sale yourself contacted us more than Mov8 did. Ultimately for paying what I did, I would not recommend Mov8 to anyone. To be fair to the staff, it was easy to tell they are under stress, but my experience is basically - bad contact, bad advice, and a lot of additional stress to myself

All process was very easy to handle and communication was great with our Property consultant Ben.Ben has a positive and professional attitude throughout and gave us the helpful advice.Also we were using company for Home Report and photos. It took a little under 4 weeks from our original instruction to market the property to an accepted offer. We recently sold our flat using Mov8 and overall we had a god experience. Firstly, Ben Ginn dealt with getting the flat online and arranged viewings etc. He kept us updated every day and was easy, polite and professional. Our flat sold quickly and Ben passed us to the legal team for the next stage. Unfortunately I wasn't too impressed at this point as many emails and calls went unanswered, despite my frequent chasing. Eventually I asked for our case to be passed to a different member of the team and was then told that it had been assigned to one of the solicitors but I still hadn't heard anything. However Lauren Lynch got in touch with me and everything changed. Lauren couldn't have done more for us. Things got a bit complicated and the times started to get extremely tight but Lauren was always on hand to reassure us and she always followed up. She was tenacious and friendly and I couldn't recommend her more. I would have given 5 stars if it wasn't for the lack of response we got when we were passed to the legal team.

We highly recommended MOV8 for selling and buying your property. Our 2 bedroom flat in Edinburgh was sold within 2 weeks of being put on the market. From the the free valuation to putting the property on the market to booking the appointment of the viewer, these were done on a timely manner and well coordinated. My property consultant Ben and Joanna are both very good on providing advice. Another advantage of MOV8 is the price because they are the cheaper than other estate agents. Scott who valued our property knows Edinburgh market. All in all, a very good selling experience. Hence when we will sell our current house next year, we will choose MOV8 to do the selling.
