I made the decision to use Mov8 to sell my property due to the speedy response to my enquiry and competitive selling fee. Mov8 were more than helpful throughout the marketing and viewing process; communicating everything in a fast and concise manner. I found the online portal particularly helpful allowing me to monitor all the viewings and track progress of the property sale. I was delighted to agree a closing date so soon, and even happier with the sale fee. The ease of booking the home report and excellent photos/brochure really showed the property at its best. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mov8 in the future.

First time seller, highly recommend Mov8.

Selling my first flat after 14 years I was quite worried as you hear plenty of horror stories. However, Mov8 have been excellent at all stages of the process. At the start they were very accommodating as I had to reschedule my valuation a few times. Once we got the ball rolling they provided all the guidance I needed and were always contactable. Their online portal is very easy to use and a good way of keeping track of viewings, offers and other paperwork with everything loaded on there. With regards to pricing they seem very competitive and they were upfront about what costs and charges would be involved. I paid at the start of the process which gets you a discount off of the overall cost. My main contact kept me informed at all times and we would catch up at the start of each week to discuss how viewing went. They were good at following up with viewers and obtaining feedback which helped me to decide when to go to a closing date. As an aside I have been using them on my new property purchase and again, they have been excellent (especially in comparison with some of the other solicitors we've had to deal with as part of negotiations). Having the selling and buying processes go through the same office also helped massively as we were all on the same page. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to a friend or family member.

Sale of property at Starbank Road

Second time we have used Move8 to sell property. First time wasn’t a great experience as we felt the Home Report that cost us £600.00 should have picked up on the damp issue that eventually cost us 2 sales. We would have had the damp rectified before we put the property on the market if we had known. However we decided to use Move8 again as we felt that tho the damp issue was a big one the cost of selling with Move8 was the best price in the current market. Also the staff always engaged with us when we needed to contact them.

Much improved after initial problems

The sale process started great - valuation was accurate, got the property to market quick, communications about viewings was good and we got an offer we were happy to accept very quickly.Then everything got handed over to the conveyancing department. I can only describe my experience as shocking - no communications, missed the agreed sale date by 2 days, spend a lot of time chasing up, as they rarely call your back. Only found out the sale did eventually go through because I phoned them, didn't bother letting me know. It also wasn't just me - had both the solicitor of people buying our house and the solicitor of the people we were buying from contacting us to chase up mov8, because they would not reply to their calls or emails.FOLLOW UP: Mov8 have been in touch to discuss the issues we had. Mirja has done a great job going looking into our complaint in great detail, and feeding back what went wrong and how they are addressing the problems going forward.We already made an offer for another property through mov8 before we had the issues with selling the property and decided to stick with mov8 because they genuinely seemed dedicated to resolving the issues we've had, which were all down to communication. I have to say, we have been very impressed. We have been dealing with the same people, but the experience has been much better, we've been kept well informed and at no point had to chase them up.While I rated the experience selling our property as 2 stars, I have been impressed at the progress they've made in such short time, and it has been a 5 star experience for the purchase process so far.

Great service !This is the first time I have sold a property so felt a bit lost in what was involved and what needed to happen. The team at Mov8 were friendly, professional and helpful at all times. Once I had my property up for sale I was given regular updates and they done a great job arranging viewings around my schedule (I work shifts). It was only about 3 weeks after going up we went for closing date and got a fantastic price for my property thanks to my negotiator (Louise). Now the property is sold i'm dealing with the conveyancing team, hopefully they can keep up this solid performance.

No hesitation in recommending Mov8...

We are currently in the process of selling two properties with Mov8 and could not be any more satisfied with the service we have received. We initially obtained 5 quotes from solicitor estate agents in Edinburgh before selecting Mov8 - who were not actually the cheapest quote we received. The reason we chose mov8 was that we felt their fees were easy to understand, well explained and we had received excellent service from our initial contact with the company. We opted to only list 1 property with Mov8 first to gauge how satisfied we were with them and it quickly became apparent that we would list our second property with them due to how happy we were with the progression of our sale on the first property. We have dealt with a number of different members of the Mov8 team throughout both transactions and each of them has been so thorough and easy to deal with. We cannot thank everyone enough for the hard work that they have put in to securing sales for our properties and although they have not yet concluded, we are very close to and have no hesitation in recommending Mov8 Real Estate.
