I’ve never sold a flat before, so I don’t have anything to compare to but it was really smooth with Mov8 from start to finish. Initial Valuation appointment: really well prepared and knew the market in our local area. Gave us confidence in our property and in Mov8. Admin: so user friendly and a modern approach, we could submit ID via our smartphones which is what we needed because we didn’t have time to travel in and wait to photocopy documents, Marketing and home report: as with the valuation, they just knew all the right things to highlight and take into account to showcase our property well and give a realistic account of the condition and value. Viewing Appointments: loved these guys, they got the right people viewing our property at times that worked for us. Negotiator: top marks. We knew what we wanted and they got us more because they had great advice and excellent negotiating experience.

Narrowed my choice of agents down to 3 when it came to selling my house and decided to try Mov8, especially as the had a 25% discount off fees in March. I liked the website and online customer portal where you can see all the activity, documents and appointments all in one place. Communication from Mov8 was superb and was kept fully informed throughout the process. Very happy with the whole experience so far and would definitely recommend them and use them again. All staff I dealt with were professional, knowledgable and friendly.

2nd time using Mov8 in 3 years - really happy

This is the 2nd time we have used Mov8 - we used them three years ago to sell our 2 bed flat in Leith, and this time for our 4 bed house in Midlothian.We were really happy with the service before when our flat sold within 10 days, and this time when our house was sold in around 2 weeks. A lot is obviously down to getting the right person, but Mov8 certainly did everything right their end, from valuation, marketing and finally negotiation where we were really happy. The portal you get for viewings / feedback is really good and they are excellent for communications and getting back to you.One of the other main reasons we chose them was their flexible pricing - we only wanted to sell if we could get a particular house we had seen, and if that fell through we would have taken house off market. With Mov8 we were able to pay a much smaller up front cost, compared to rivals. Another firm wanted to charge full price even if we had taken off the market, c£6k!

Moving to Mov8 was a great decision!

Moving my property to Mov8 from an alternative Edinburgh-based agent was a fantastic move. From initial conversations and a realistic valuation from Finlay, to Emma making me feel very confident with the Mov8 approach and explaining everything I needed to know when I came on board. I was really impressed with the fantastic service from Ross, Colin, Umar, Monika, Joanna and Fraser organising and confirming viewings - friendly, efficient and accurate. What's not to love about MOV8?

What's not to love about MOV8? At the beginning, they provided a free no-obligation visual valuation, and when we put the property on the market, the professional valuer agreed with their valuation price, and the property photographs were fantastic. As we were able to pay half of the fixed fees upfront, (not based on the property valuation, like traditional estate agents) we were given a discount, with the balance payable on completion from the sale proceeds. They provided staff to attend the evening viewings, and I can honestly say that all the staff we have dealt with have been very helpful and friendly, providing us with selling tips, realistic expectations and timetables. Overall, very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. Would be happy to recommend MOV8 to others.

Efficient and helpful service from initial contact through to accepting an offer on our house. The Mov8 sales rep visited and gave a clear guide of how the process would be handled and the different fee options. We were very happy with the photographer and way the property was marketed. Solid service but room for improvement.

Overall we were happy with the service we got through Mov8. They arranged the home report and photographs very quickly and got our property on the market rapidly. We felt the advice they gave regarding offers was good.We had only two negatives with our experience.1) Despite asking upwards of ten times to be contacted by email in the first instance rather than by phone they continued to ring and leave voicemails for every interaction and did not email once.2) We paid for them to do five viewing for us. We planned to use these when we were not able to do the viewings ourselves. However, every time we were unable to do a viewing we were told that nobody from Mov8 was available either. Despite paying for them we were never actually able to use them, seemed like a waste of money.

We emailed and asked for an appointment to be moved (via right move). The appointment was not cancelled and the agent tipped up calling us. I stayed we emailed, then asked for a viewing at monday. I was in another city, I called the Monday before travelling and confirmed that he’d be there. He duly confirmed then got his office to call and cancel when I had already travelled from Edinburgh to Dunfermline. This was ten minutes before the viewing. I had already gotten my family to travel there. Absolutely shocking. No wonder the house has not sold!

Great service, high standards.

We have sold our property with Mov8 very quickly. They work very hard for their clients. A massive plus is that they are open on weekends and it was great to drop off or sign things at our convenience. A special thank you goes to Ross (who already left the company) and Gavin from conveyancing team. The minus is that they are a big company and sometimes there might be a lack of communication somewhere, but we haven’t experienced any inconveniences at all. The fixed estate agents fee is good also. We are happy with everything and would like to thank everyone at Mov8 for such good experience.
