Trusting my gut feeling I went with MOV8 to sell my property and do the conveyancing on a new house. I have to say that so far I can't fault them , they've been very professional, helpful and sold my flat in 6 days for a great price, the whole process was very smooth and they were there for me at every step of the way. I can't really imagine a better service and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to sell their property.

Got the job done but you get what you pay for.I purchased my first home through miller homes and foolishly chose to use their recommended solicitor - mov8.I'm not sure how much of my experience is common to fixed-fee conveyancing generally but it felt a bit like going through a conveyancing mill. They weren't particularly willing to help me understand my deed of conditions. I didn't feel like they were very good at keeping me up to date with what's going on or explaining what to expect of the process. It also seemed like they hadn't fully read the documents they were acting on - citing details incorrectly. Nothing major - for example the fees on my mortgage and one of the time periods on my offer to sell - but it doesn't inspire great confidence when they're dealing with something as important as a property purchase.When it comes to buying/selling property again in the future, I think I'll avoid mov8 and pay a bit more for the more attentive service I'd expect from the more established solicitors, and take a personal recommendation rather than who my homebuilder point me toward! Given that most of your conveyancing costs go to outlays (land registry, tax etc) which are the same regardless of which conveyancer you use, in hindsight it seems like a false economy to have been drawn in by their £400+VAT fixed fee.

What can I say about Lauren Lynch and my overall experience with Mov8 that can do her and the Mov 8 team justice? This was a very demanding and frustrating sale with a number of setbacks and the beginning of Covid 19. This can be a very stressful time and all I can say about Lauren (and the wider Mov8 team) is that they were so helpful, accommodating and understanding in dealing with all the issues. The communication and response rate was first class and I really felt they had my best interests at heart. We are all going through a changing world with Covid 19 and have to adapt. My biggest compliment to the team here is that they have adapted and I would recommend them to anyone if you are looking to sell your house.

Delighted with the whole service from Mov8 whilst selling my flat. Every member of staff that I interacted with was brilliant, very professional and quick to turn things around. I felt very well looked after at all stages. My sales advisor was Ben Ginn and he was professional, knowledgable and fabulous at providing updates and advice. Rosa handled all my paperwork during the conveyancing stage and was also very efficient and lovely to deal with. All in all, it felt like a completely different experience from when I last sold a property (not through Mov8) and I had to chase the company all the time for updates. The client portal was also great and a part of the service that I also really liked and found really useful. I would highly recommend Mov8 to others.

Mov8 were recommended to me in regards to this new build purchase. Their expertise in this field was obvious from my dealings with them; and the whole process went without a hitch. Clearly, the COVID situation complicated And significantly delayed the process, but once lockdown was lifted, Mov8 were very proactive in getting the unavoidably delayed transaction settled as soon as possible; and pulled out all the stops to get the purchase completed on the date that really suited me, notwithstanding the pressure they were under due to the backlog of transactions caused by the lockdown. Their fees were very reasonable as well. I would highly recommend them.

I was absolutely delighted with my experience selling with Mov8. They were helpful and supportive at every stage. The evaluation visit was clear with plenty of opportunities to ask questions, and no pressure to select them whatsoever. When I chose to sell with Mov8 they were a well oiled machine, keeping me right at every stage. Every member of staff I dealt with was lovely, and I felt I could bring any question to them. When offers came in, they took time to keep me fully up to date and they listened to what I wanted to do about the property. I never felt pressured by mov8 to take a particular action. Highly recommend their services and I will happily use them next time!

We choose to use Mov8 due to them being much cheaper then our high street estate agents. We timed the sale of our house badly as it went up during lock down so we were unable to doViewings. During lockdown we understood the pressure the team were under and felt they did a good job during this time. Once restrictions were lifted we found things got a bit more complicated. You could never speak to the same person twice and messages weren’t relayed which was frustrating having to answer the same questions multiple times for different staff. Luckily we had a lot of interest in our property and we’re able to go to closing date. However we choose to go to a Tuesday date to allow a further weekend for viewings. The week before everything went very quiet but we didn’t worry too much then on the day before and the day of our closing date we got 6 requests to view which had come the week before but mov8 didn’t pass on meaning 6 potential parties were unable to view before closing. This we felt was incredibly unprofessional and for us it was upsetting. When I challenged mov8 I was told not to worry as we were in a strong position. I was worried as we could have been potentially much stronger! Thankfully we got a good offer which we accepted and were then past to the legal team who I couldn’t fault. They had clear communication, worked to the time frames set out and prompted us when we had missed bits of paperwork. We sadly wouldn’t recommend mov8 purely due to the missed viewings which we deemed to be incompetence.
We value all feedback from our clients and we thank you very much for your comments. Naturally, we are sorry to learn you were unhappy with the viewings arrangements. At the time of your closing date, just 2 weeks after the lockdown restrictions were eased, we were still operating on a greatly reduced staff and were not, at that time, operating on weekends. We are aware that some viewing requests came in after close of business on the Friday which were dealt with on the Monday, one day before your closing date. We appreciate that this was too short notice for some interested parties.
