TrustpilotThis would have been a 'One Star'; 'hidden charges'....
This would have been a 'One Star' rating had it not been for the legal aspects of this transaction - these 'technical' aspects were handled well. HOWEVER, the finance and logistical functions of the company are dreadful but the worst aspect was their attempt to overcharge us by 25%; this was despite us holding a " fixed, comprehensive and transparent" quote for the work. I would recommend potential clients are either very careful or ideally look elsewhere for this service. I certainly won't use Mov8 again.

Overall we had a very good experience with MOV8. There was some difficulty initially in processing the initial stages of getting out property onto the market as the communication between the MOV8 staff wasn't ideal. However as soon as Steph was nominated as our contact everything went very smoothly. The arrangement of and communication of allocated viewings was spot on and we particularly liked the client portal. We would definitely recommend MOV8 to a friend.

Having been with another solicitor who unexpectedly shut down mid way through our sale and purchase, I was very apprehensive as we were moved across to Mov8 but in 4 short weeks, this team turned the situation round and we collected our keys early yesterday.Tracy McAlpine was our main contact and I cannot speak highly enough of her - communication was excellent and service outstanding. I manage an estate agency myself and deal with many legal contacts in my role but to me Tracy shone and we cannot thank her and her team enough.I will be recommending Mov8 to my friends, family and clients.

Absolutely awful. Would never ever use them again and would urge anyone else not to either. As selling my home through yopa on a pay later tariff I had to use this solicitors. Every single piece of information I received I had to chase and seek out for myself. My solicitor did not once reply to an email I sent and every time I had to email someone else within the business raising my dissatisfaction before he everntually responded. I have not much idea about the legal side of buying a house so I would expect to be kept in the loop and have things explained to me but this did not happen. I had to find everything out for myself. In fact, on S on the phone the solicitor told me he had never received any emails from me… but I quickly caught him out with that! On the completion day of my sale, I had not even been told what to do with the keys!! I am not local to Edinburgh so it’s not like I had to hand them in to their offices. When I tried to make contact with the solicitor i got an automatic reply to say he was on annual leave!!!!!!!!
