Efficient, helpful and well-organized

I was new to house buying in Scotland and was introduced to MOV8 by my mortgage advisor. Courtney Morrison got in touch quickly, sent a quote, and took me through the whole process of noting interest and making an offer. Courtney (and the MOV8 team) has been very helpful, responds quickly to emails, and very efficient in communicating with the estate agent and seller's solicitor. Her knowledge helped me make an informed offer, and that offer (the first I've made) got accepted!

Great experience for first time buyers!

Our experience with mov8 was fantastic, everything at their end was prompt and efficient. It really felt like they were working hard every step of the way to ensure everything was in place for us to purchase our first home. We dealt mostly with Hajira Nisa and she was fantastic! She really went the extra mile when things went wrong near to completion date (not mov8's fault!) which ensured we made our entry date with no delays!Thanks again to everyone at mov8!

Go with Mov8!

We sold our property through Allan at Mov8 before moving abroad and had a great experience with him! I would highly recommend Mov8, their fees are VERY reasonable, transparent and competitive yet they still offer an excellent service, great customer service and Allan went over and beyond to get us an amazing price for our property! The staff are so friendly, calm, efficient, professional and competent that the sale of your home feels very safe in their hands. The photographer works wonders too!

I have used Mov8 four times over the years and I would say there has been a dramatic improvement in their services. They are now very efficient, the web portal kept a log of everything that was going on and I was constantly updated with the progress. Our negotiator Rachel was excellent. She was the perfect balance of efficient and friendly, she offered good advice and helped me keep calm in what was quite a nerve wracking few days - thank you Rachel! With their much improved services and excellent value for money, I would have no hesitation in using them again.

Great experience selling with mov8

I have just used the mov8 team to sell my flat in Edinburgh and could not fault the service they have provided. After contacting them we were quickly visited by one of their property valuation team who was really knowledgeable about the market and the area and talked me through the process. We were given a clear indication of all the costs and the options we had. We were then quickly able to book our home report and photography to be done before being assigned a negotiator from then on in. Our negotiator was Rachel Curran and she was excellent. She kept in regular contact with us during the whole process and always updated promptly on any notes of interest, feedback etc. Everything was clearly explained to us and in a way that we understood. She advised us what to do regarding going to closing and in the end we were delighted with the offers that we received. Our property was put on the market and within a week they had sold it, can't ask for more than that!A real positive I found in using mov8 was that they did as much as possible online, all the identity checks and document checks were done through an online system so we didn't have to go out of our way to sort this and we had access to a portal to keep track of any viewings that were booked or feedback, notes of interest we had received. I found this really helpful as it meant we were not having to keep going back and forward on the phone unnecessarily.We opted to do our own viewings but they can do it for a fee per slot if you prefer. We liked their fixed pricing as this means we knew at the start exactly how much everything would cost us and didn't have to worry about the commission. We have also used mov8 for purchasing our next property and have also been impressed with that. I would highly recommend mov8 to anyone, we certainly couldn't fault them!

Quite chaotic and no confidence in who…

Quite chaotic and no confidence in who was taking the lead in dealing with my transactions. They asked for the same information multiple times. When I told them that I had sent the information adamantly denied I had. When I forwarded the email showing the info sent, twice before, they told me the person had been off sick. They moved on swiftly when asked if both people had been off sick. Their emails always go to "junk". I did find their trainee solicitor of help when issues arose but that was the only good thing about the whole experience. I wouldn't recommend them.

We decided to sell our house through Mov8 due to their competitive rates and bold advertisement. After dealing with a separate surveyor who gave us our greatly improved home report valuation, it was a stress free time throughout the negotiation period. Our negotiator Scott Moore was fantastic from word go, keeping us regularly updated with viewings, notes of interest and of course the closing date. The advice we received from Scott including how each stage worked was delivered professionally with complete clarity. In the end we got a fantastic price for our house with minimal stress involved. The minutes the first representative came through my door to value the property to the notification of the appointment, even through the the negotiator who does have your best interest at heart. After looking at various Estate Agents, we decided to use Mov8 on the basis that they offered a Fixed Fee, and also allowed us to advertise in ESPC.We listed our house on the market, and after 1 week we were inundated with offers. One week later, we received an offer we couldn't refuse. Allan was on hand whenever we needed him, and was extremely helpful in the negotiation process. Amateur outfit - really poor experience

Called by MOV8 stating that they had a slot in 90 minutes from then to view a property. Rearranged the day to make it happen, arrived at the property - no answer. Called MOV8 who said "they would see if the vendors were available" to which I replied they should be as we are outside waiting. MOV8 called back to say the vendors "had to go out" and when would I like to rearrange for!!!Fuming as only 90 minutes earlier they had confirmed the time!Explained we wouldn't be coming back and will avoid this firm in the future.Thanks for wasting our time but also for the heads up of what you are like to deal with!

Not quite the experience I had in mind

Not the experience I had in mind. Valuation was excellent, Alan was kind, transparent and very helpful. Estate agency I felt I had to chase them all the time, there was no real communication, however I sold within 8 weeks .Conveyancing, was shocking. I was assigned a senior paralegal, who was not overly friendly, short, abrupt and unapproachable - this being the first time I’ve sold a property I felt like I wanted someone I could ask a question to - Even a simple phone call to ask a question made me feel like I was causing a problem for them. I will send separate correspondence with further details but this experience will stop me recommending mov8 to others.In hindsight i should have paid that little bit extra to go with Warner’s, mcdougall McQueen etc as I feel this would have made the experience less stressful.

My experience with Mov8 has been great from start to finish. Communication is always prompt and even when Steph, my negotiator wasn't available, there was always someone who was able to help me whenever I needed. Viewings were always arranged quickly and without any hassle. The online portal is also very good for keeping track of viewings and any offers. I would recommend using Mov8 without any hesitation and am very happy with the service and experience I've had with Steph and the team.

Brilliant service from Mov8. Fixed fee , great photos and property listed on all the big sales portals quickly . Everything ran smoothly from start to finish . All staff were great from the initial valuer finlay , through to the sales staff for booking in viewings and my sales negotiator Nicky was really helpful in ensuring we got a great price for the property , explainjng options and keeping me in the loop with how things were progressing . Flat sold in under 2weeks . Very happy 5 stars from me ! Would definitely recommend. Why pay more when you can get a great service here .
