Painless and stress free house selling

I thought selling a house would be a difficult, long drawn out process, but by using mov8 I needn't have worried. Everything went smoothly. From the initial contact through to the legal stuff, mov8 sorted it. Continuous email updates and phone calls, plus your own portal to see how the sale is progressing, made it all straight forward. All the staff were very friendly and helpful, and had a good depth of knowledge. All in all a stress free experience.

Extremely frustrating to work with the…

Extremely frustrating to work with the mov8 team. There is no consistency or process. They keep asking for same information every other day despite of providing it multiple times. Not helpful at all. We would not recommend them to anyone. If you are going with Yopa, please make sure that your agent does not select Mov8 as your solicitor. It is an unacceptable level of service.

Mov8 was recommended to me by a friend who’d had a very positive experience. She’d sold her flat quickly and efficiently through Mov8, and further recommended Emma. I took her word for it, and was lucky to get Emma assigned to me as my Negotiator. Emma did a thoroughly good job. She was professional, while at the same time being friendly and personable. She was great when it came to keeping me informed, and gave me sound advice on the offers I received, culminating in me accepting one at the level I was looking for. We can not rate MOV8 highly enough, their service is 10/10, our dedicate negotiator Lousie was a star, especially the communication, was brilliant holding our hand through every step and she helped take the stress out of selling. Overall disappointing experience (primarily, due to lack of communication)

*I have already spoken to the Operations Manager before posting this review*We have been disappointed with the overall service from Mov8 for the whole buying and selling process. It is such a shame as we were recommended by a friend and thought it would be a smooth process but it caused us even more stress with the risk of losing our new home.The home valuation process was excellent. Alan was very professional and explained everything properly. Once we were all set up, that’s where the first problem started. Whilst reviewing our schedule and advert before going live on the market, there were numerous mistakes in the text (including the spelling of Livingston!). The floor plan was also missing built-in wardrobes. There were a few attempts to try and get this resolved and this resulted in a slight delay of getting the property on the market. Once we were allocated our negotiator, the initial process became slightly better. Emma was very good in providing us with all the necessary information, and Ross was excellent in terms of arranging viewings, etc. There was, however, a communication issue from Mov8 of not confirming the viewing appointment with our ultimate buyer which could have resulted in us losing our sale.We were also buying at the same time. Our purchase negotiator, Kenny, was excellent and by far the best service we had from Mov8. It is a shame that he has moved on. Once the sale and purchase was agreed, this is when the real problems and stress started. I am sorry to say that our solicitor was not communicative at all. It was very difficult to get hold of them. Numerous emails, phone call messages a day (over 26 calls in total) and hardly a response back. It took over a month between our sale offer being accepted and when the missives process started. Following the initial introduction call with our solicitor, nothing was done to the file for over a week and when I called for an update, I was being asked the same questions as per the previous call which was very frustrating. Ultimately our missives were concluded 3 days before the date of entry which has caused all parties a lot of stress up to the last minute. It is acknowledged that there was some delay from one of the parties, however, should our legal process have started earlier, we wouldn’t have been in this situation with a risk of losing our purchase. With regards to our factors, we were told that Mov8 contacted them regarding our property being sold. However, it was brought to our attention that our factors hadn’t been informed about the sale and I had to make Mov8 do it one day before the settlement day, Mov8 apologised for this oversight. The whole legal communication process was not good.I’m afraid that due to a combination of the above, we will be not be using Mov8 again or recommending them to any friends.

Highly Recommend Mov8

Great service, fantastic staff.Took a chance with Mov8 as they aren't established in my area half based on gut and half based on reviews and I wasn't dissapointed. They did a great job, all the staff were really friendly and helpful. The relationship I built up with my negotiator Jillian was great, she was so friendly and I always felt she had my best interests at heart. I would definitely use Mov8 for any future house purchases.

I cannot thank Emma Jefferson enough as our sales negotiator, as we had a deadline to meet to sell our house it was slightly stressful but Emma kept us up to date and went above and beyond when I asked her a question, the detailed emails and statistics I received from her to put my mind at ease were incredible. Our property sale using Mov8 was back…

Our property sale using Mov8 was back in may last year. Whole experience left as with mixed feelings. First ;length of time it took to get the property on market was way to long from initial request ,all due to misleading description. The person responsible for advert was incompetent,she did many mistakes some really silly about contents or basic topography and local services and amenities. Worst was that she was don't really care about our concerns and don't listen to the suggestions. Its took several days and mails to correct this ridiculous errors. At this stage we were really upset,but felt like we couldn't swap estate agents,because we had already paid a large upfront fee. Luckily ,later everything went much,much better. Particularly our negotiator Arran provided great professional service; hi was very helpful,always polite with lots of patience. Also legal team performed excellent service,many thanks for Leigh she was very informative always with great manners .

Excellent company. I was feeling looked after, they organised my viewings for me, I was updated regularly about when is the viewing, and I could see feedback. I really recommend Mov8 estate if you want sell your house. I was trying previously with bigger and more established estate agent and my flat was not sold and nobody bothered to give me any advice or communicate with me. Mov8 agent Louise was calling me every few days to update, when she was away there was always somebody to give me relevant information. Can’t really fault anything! I am a First Time Buyer and Beverley Cottrell took the time to explain each stage of the transaction in simple terms to me, so I could understand it fully. She worked through the festive period to ensure my purchase was completed on time, which I was particularly appreciative of, as not all real estate companies work in this way. Lovely team

The team at Mov8 were incredibly helpful and accommodating throughout the selling process. Valuer Ross knew our market well immediately saw the value in our property while Mov8's professional photographs showed the property in its best light. Ellen was exceptionally patient and obliging when faced with numerous requests for amendments to our brochure text until it was exactly what we wanted. The bookings team were always on-hand and pleasant to deal with whilst many viewings were being arranged.
