I asked McEwan Fraser to provide a valuation for an unusual property for probate purposes. I was able to request an appointment over the phone in the evening and received confirmation from Craig Peters by text, all of which was very smooth. Although Craig knew that I was undecided over whether or not to actually sell the property he spent a full hour looking over it and provided an excellent insight into the local market and the strategies and options for maximising a return should I decide to sell. There was never any pressure to engage with his company. He provided an indication of value during the visit and followed this up very promptly with a written valuation by e-mail. I obtained valuations from two other companies and can vouch that this was by far the most comprehensive and convincing. I have not commented on value for money as I have not engaged the services, but can say that the valuation was free and without obligation and in that sense excellent value.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism

We decided to go on the market after seeing our dream house on a Saturday. Filled in the online valuation form on Saturday evening, had two phonecalls from McEwan Fraser on Sunday, and we were on the market within a week (with excellent photos by Grant). Thanks to the outstanding efforts and comms from Rhiain and team, we had set a closing date following multiple offers 6 days later. We were than passed seamlessly to Magnus who managed our sale and purchase. House buying as a general rule is a horrendous process, but Magnus took time to walk me through each stage, kept me updated throughout, and kept me sane when we thought the deal may fall through. He was also able to fight the corner on completion day exactly when we needed him most. Great service all round, cannot recommend highly enough.

Selling solicitor on house I purchased in December. There were multiple issues with the general state of the house when purchased. Mainly things like the loft had not been emptied, the garage was still half full. Carpets were dirty…apparently because the seller had needed to load the vacuum cleaner into the removal van so couldn’t vacuum when leaving. Ironic they managed to take their vacuum but leave loads of other stuff that they should have removed as well. We had also agreed to buy a bed off the previous owners and the bed they left behind was broken…been told through our solicitor that mcewan Fraser said that our fault / issue…we would never have agreed to purchase a broken bed. Highly unprofessional and should have been making it clear to their client should not be selling something they know is broken. We notified our solicitor of the issues immediately and it was agreed that the sellers would meet the costs of removal of their stuff but now just getting silence when been trying to get this arranged for almost 3 months. McEwan Fraser now just appear to be ignoring the requests from my solicitor / are saying they aren’t getting a response from their client. They should be doing more to get this resolved as a matter of professionalism. Now looking like I am having to go through court to get this resolved which should never have been required. It’s taken up so much unneccessary time and effort on my side and dragged on far too long and feel as the sellers legal ‘experts’ in the whole process they are as much to blame as the sellers themselves
