A slick and professional service from start to finish when selling my property. I hadn't sold or bought a property for 14 years so undoubtedly asked some daft questions during the process but the staff took the time to answer fully any concerns I had. I was also working abroad for a large part of the time but they made sure I was kept fully up to date at all stages. You just get the feeling of a well oiled machine working away in the background on your behalf to ensure the whole process is as hassle free as possible. Would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for an estate agency in Edinburgh.

We cannot recommend McEwan Fraser enough. Not the cheapest agency but definitely worth the money - we have been delighted with them from start to finish. We managed to sell two flats in Edinburgh and buy a house out of town all within the space of around a month! The fact they are open 7 days a week and until midnight is so helpful as is their online Notice Board which keeps you up to date with all matters concerning levels of interest, viewers and appointment times. The property brochure and photography is a class above and all the staff we spoke to were great, they were always available when we needed them throughout what can be a pretty stressful time!! We had an excellent experience using McEwan Fraser Legal. Throughout the process of making offers they were very patient and - considering we were not only first time buyers but also only newly arrived in the UK - we had a million questions which they answered promptly and happily. We used Paula Redpath for the conveyancing of the property and she was also great to work with - very responsive and proactive throughout. The fixed price fee was as per what I was told with no hidden extras or nasty surprises. Overall I would rate their service and offering as excellent value.

It has taken a number of years to get to the stage of deciding to put our house up for sale, we searched for possible estate agents, we invited 3 different ones along to view the property. They all offered different packages with varying price structures but McEwan Fraser Legal stood out initially on knowledge of the area, sales, enthusiasm, advertising and although dubious selling fees. Once signed up, we were taken on a journey through each step in the process being introduced to a designated person who completed their tasks and moved you onto their colleagues effortlessly. Having the Admin board to view details of interested parties, notes of interest, viewings and offers was a wonderful way to keep up to date with the process and Keir Waddell our property administrator was first class. After 4 weeks our house has sold achieving the home report value, absolutely delighted. Would highly recommend using McEwan Fraser Legal.

Moving home is a stressful process - even when you think you have everything prepared and sorted. Unfortunately the unexpected always happens at least that is how it seems to me. One thing I could rely on, however, was the efficient good humour of Melanie McLachlan. Melanie always seemed to have things covered, and could more than hold her own against the confused requests of the lawyers from the house builders. I very much doubt I would have moved house on time if Melanie had not worked so hard for me.I am very happy with the service provided. But as much as I liked to chat to Melanie, I am also glad the whole process is over.

From the first meeting with Scott Cameron to accepting an offer with Anne MacKintosh inside two weeks of going on the market we have been delighted with the service that we have received. McEwan Fraser offer a very personal service and the fact that we could speak to someone at all hours of the day and night and through the weekend has been invaluable. The online property diary has meant that we know what is happening with out property at all times and is a brilliant tool. Finally as an example of the excellent service that we have received, we ran low on the schedules due to the number of people coming to see the flat. Between viewings I rang McEwan's and spoke with Louise who then appeared at my door within five minutes with additional schedules to ensure that the viewers didn't leave empty handed! Brilliant service. Anne and Scott have been superb and always happy and positive with very sound advice....thanks you.

We had been on the market for over a year and changed to McEwan Frasers who have sold our property in 9 weeks. We couldn't fault the way we were treated from day 1. We found all the staff really helpful and the key thing was how proactive the company is at getting the information about your property out there through effective marketing and following things up. We had been on with another agent previously and felt that we had to do all the chasing. From the initial contact via email which, incidentally, was responded to on a Sunday evening within a matter of hours, to the concluding legals my experience of MFL has been excellent. Each member of the team whom I dealt with has been contactable, approachable and helpful whilst operating with the highest degrees of professionalism. I couldn't recommend MFL higher to anyone considering selling or buying a property. Yes, it is a little more expensive than the average but the increment in service far outweighs the increment in cost. I can't recommend McEwan Fraser Legal more highly. My property was on the market for 4-5 months with another agent, I switched to MF and have accepted an offer within one month of the property going live. The quality and level of service provided by the whole team at MF has been exceptional - Michael McMullen was on the ball and informative dealing with the first stages. Keir Waddell really made the difference between competitors as I see it, keeping me fully informed at all stages and explaining the processes. The online system is brilliant - being able to log on and review progress was really helpful. Fingers crossed the remainder of the process goes as smoothly. The fees may be slightly higher than elsewhere, however never truer said that you get what you pay for.

It has been a good experience from the start with the first meeting with Jay Stein the Surveyor at the beginning , to being introduced to Keir Waddell in Sales & Marketing then through to the end with Melanie McLachlan in Legal. McEwan Fraser Legal (MFL) have been a pleasure to work with throughout the selling process. I was the lead on selling my parents house and MFL covered everything making it as stress free as possible and with 30 viewings in the 1st week on the market, we sold within 10 days! I am in awe at McEwan Fraser & Legal! I have had my property on the market for 4 years (with a slight break from selling due to pregnancy) and recently changed from my old hopeless estate agent to McEwan Fraser & Legal, I can honestly say best move of my life. I cannot believe how well informed I have been kept. I have had more conversions with this wonderful team in the last 3 weeks than I have had in the last 4 years with my old estate agent. They have taken professionalism to a whole new level. I am incredibly impressed at their attention to detail and when I saw the first proof of my house schedule I was immediately hit by the WOW factor, I momentarily didn't recognise my kitchen. Living in Dubai the communication and accessibility of information aspect was the differentor for us during this apparantly stressful time. McEwan Fraser (who operate all under same roof!) department's make this as painless as possible. The team's clearly know their business and interact seamlessly with each other though I would like to make a special mention of Graeme Nimmo for his dilligence, flexibility and patience shown when conducting the viewings in such a professional and friendly manner to ALL potential buyers. Yes, the service is more expensive though absolutely warranted. They delivered on all their promises so credit where it is due. From start to finish (i.e. 1st meeting to sale proceeds in our account was 2months!!) and we achieved over Home Valuation Report = happy days!!

I have had an excellent experience marketing my home with McEwan Fraser Legal. I was given a clear and detailed outline of how the procedure would work at the outset with an explanation of how my personal message board would function. Once things were set in motion then each step followed as had been initially described. I particularly liked the fact that I could track exactly how things were proceeding on my message board, I knew who was doing what at every stage and how to contact that person if required so felt that I was always well informed. Once the property went live, I could also see how many hits my property had received on each website. Every bit of communication was logged on my message board making it easy for me to keep track of things. I was particularly pleased that my property was under offer so quickly!

My family and I were moving because of my new job, and we decided to go with McEwan Fraser Legal, as we needed to sell our house as quickly as possible. The house went on the market 2 days before Christmas, which worked out well, with viewers coming to see it during their holidays. We found our valuer to be very helpful, with plenty of tips for how to stage the house for the photo shoot, which is important to catch the eye of potential buyers online. Our negotiator was also great in terms of keeping us informed and calm throughout the process. Their part exchange option meant we were exposed to a new set of potential buyers, and their longer opening hours meant I wasn't stressing trying to call them during traditional 9-5 working hours, and neither were my viewers. We also used their legal services, which meant it was almost like a one stop shop, and we knew what was happening every step of the way. I would thoroughly recommend this company, and if we're ever to move house again they will be my first port of call.

Great service and keep informed throughout the process. The message board is a great asset to keep you up to date with the progress of your sale. Furthermore the fact that they offer much longer opening hours is a great help to both sellers and prospective buyers especially at weekends when most other estate agents close - longer opening hours = more opportunity to sell. Our house had only been on the market for 4 weeks and we got a sale at full asking price which is not easy in the current economic climate.
