Wonderfully reliable and friendly!

Our experience with DJ Alexander was impeccable! We're first year students and they did a fabulous job at making the process as smooth and easy as it could have been for us. I would especially like to thank Laura Mctaggart, who was simply brilliant. She's been super reliable in handling questions and doubts that we've had, whether over the phone or by email. Excellent Service Couldn’t fault

Finding a place to live and working with Paul was easy. Paul provided a very professional experience from start to finish. In addition was happy to help with any challenges which may have come up along the way. Amazing Estate Agents

Alexander - Edinburgh, was used for both the Letting, including Property Management, and the subsequent Sale of my property in South Scotstoun, South Queensferry from 2022, through to completed Sale in February 2024.In particular, special thanks to Elliot Sharkey, and the Team, whose friendly support, excellent efficiency, and professionalism throughout the entire process was magnificent - subsequently achieving a truly terrific result, and in an extremely good time frame!I also mention Abby Grigg who produced a superb Sales Brochure, and have to comment on the photographer's excellent Virtual Tour.I would certainly recommend using D.J. Really, really poor experience with DJ Alexander. Reported faults with the flat have still not been fixed after one year - had to fix them myself. The hostility comes across in emails and phone calls. I needed to change to a solo tenancy which they refused to do, until I asked them to directly ask the landlord. When they did they, the landlord was more than happy to change the agreement. It's frustrating for myself as a tennant, and the landlord that they are not communicating well with both sides. The threatening nature of emails is quite unnerving. I would avoid letting with DJ Alexander, and strongly advise being familiar with Citizens Advice. Several loopholes are used by DJ Alexander to undermine Tennant's rights. I've never felt so uncomfortable and unsecure in a flat - the uncertainty posed by this letting agency has left me losing faith with letting agents. UPDATE I left the flat in June 2023 and didn’t receive my deposit back until Christmas. They also accused me of removing a glass panel of an oven, which was not present when I first arrived. They tried to charge me for the removal of some furniture when I left, which was not removed I discovered. The flat had damp and mouldy washing in the washing machine when I arrived. The flat was dirty and hadn’t been cleaned. There was a nice infestation when we arrived. So when I was charged for cleaning when I left the flat in a better state that I rented it in, it was clear that there was an objective to claim as much money from the tenant as possible. So naturally, I disputed the extra £200+ charge on top of the refusal to refund my deposit. When staff left, my email chains and request for dispute and initiating the deposit returnwere not passed along, meaning I had to start the entire process of claiming my deposit over and over again. Shambolic service and huge stressor for months. Please, please avoid if you can. I do not blame the staff, but the company has such a poor culture of playing with money and not caring about the tenant.

Me and my flatmate just had the best…

Me and my flatmate just had the best experience with DJ Alexander. Nathan Eastwood help us a lot with getting us the flat we really wanted. I have a dog, so it’s not easy! We also had one viewing with Gemma-Louise and she was very helpful in answering all the questions regarding the flat we were seeing and other questions not related to the flat.There is just one thing that needs improving. When I was booking several viewings, it always asked me if I had a pet and I always selected that option and then mentioned the type of pet and breed. It still let me book the viewing and we had a few viewings where we were really disappointed to hear that dogs weren’t allowed at all.

very pathetic…

I am landlord & DJ Alexander are looking after my flat in Edinburgh for last couple of years. I am very unhappy with services I received. There is no named person responsible for my flat. Therefore, at every occasion I communicate with a new person & have to start from scratch. They don't bother to reply to emails & even don't acknowledge. This happen repeatedly over last couple of years ie after few correspondences they disappear & don't bother to reply or acknowledge emails. Most recent I sent email 10 days ago but no one reply or acknowledge. This is their regular practice. All they remember to detect fee every month. Very disappointing & pathetic!

When you move in the place will have plenty of issues and then when moving out DJ Alexander will attempt to steal your deposit or add extra charges by claiming these issues were done by you. DJ Alexander will also deliberately not reply to your leaving notice to secure extra pro rata payments. Do not rent from this letting agency.
