We recently had a property inspection conducted by Jenn, and it was an excellent experience. Jenn was punctual, courteous, and professional throughout the visit. She was kind and very cooperative, and we had a nice chit-chat with her, making it feel like a pleasant visit from a guest. Jenn listened to us attentively and ensured that we weren't facing any issues with the property. Her friendly demeanor and clear communication were much appreciated. We have never had such a positive experience in any of our past property inspections. We feel fortunate to have such a dedicated and respectful property manager. The staff who all helped me with my rental of a property were great,Oliver and Patrick who were responsible for showing me the apartment and helping with the procedures.I particularly want to mention Erin French, based at the Edinburgh office. She was really helpful with the financial procedures - there were moments (often) when I was a bit confused, Erin had tremendous patience and gave me sincere help with all the steps to achieve obtaining the property I wanted to rent. I decided to rent my flat out whilst travelling and chose DJs as they were a big name and after meeting one of the sales agents, I thought they seemed great. I honestly had an awful experience with them - over the 6 weeks my flat was marketed, I had to speak and deal with over 7 different people. The flat fell through over 4 times and communication was poor throughout this time. They continually took my flat off the market before a deposit had been paid which led to delays in renting. I switched to another company as a result who found me great tenants within the week. Overall they cost me more than £2000 in lost rent money. Edinburgh has a great market and my flat is a nice 2 bed. There was no apology and they also refused to share their marketing pictures with the new company which caused further delays. I would strongly advise anyone considering using them, not to.

I had occasion to contact several staff at both Byres road in Glasgow and the John Cotton Centre in Edinburgh by phone and email regarding a rental property and found them uniformly friendly and very helpful. I'd like to give a special mention to Chloe Mitchell who supported us through the latter stages of the tenancy agreement. She responded quickly to all queries, and was both helpful and reassuring, and committed to getting things organised for us (not so easy when one family member was in Thurso!). I felt she took a personal interest and I'd like to thank her for helping us to secure the tenancy agreement. Thank you, Chloe!

GoogleThey used to be so good. Emergency repairs taking days to be sorted, lease agreements taking an age to process, poor communication and sometimes outright ignoring of tenants emails, forgetting of maintainence issues that had to be constantly chased by us (leaky windows, mould issues, nails coming through the floor). Just generally incompetent. We were lucky to be quite pally with our landlords, and they told us how DJ Alexander would pressure them to raise the rent as soon as legally possible (+9% in our case). Absolute vultures. I no longer rent, thank god, but honestly they've soured what I thought was a great letting agent. Southside is a great alternative.

I was exceptionally satisfied with the service provided by DJ Alexander. I was particularly impressed with the support and communication with Johan - the end of tenancy property manager. Very professional, efficient and dedicated. As I had not a very great experience with other agencies in the past, before I started the process of vacating the premises, I was very sceptical, because I did not believe that an agency could be fair and refund the whole deposit for a perfectly cleaned flat left in perfect condition. Fortunately, I was very positively surprised. I was treated very fairly. The moving-out process managed by Johan was smooth and well-organized, and any concerns have been promptly addressed. I have received my deposit in 100%. It was evident that the DJ Alexander agency prioritizes the needs and satisfaction of their clients. Overall, my experience with DJ Alexander has been faultless. I would not hesitate to recommend their services to anyone seeking a reliable and professional letting agency. Thank you!

GoogleDay 30 and not returned deposit! No communication! Absolute shower My dealings with DJ Alexander from the very start were poor. My rented flat that I stayed in whilst separated from my wife was not secure or wind/water tight on move in date. All deficiencies have to be reported in an online portal. Severely lacking in any form of customer service. I would not recommend this company to any prospective landlord or tenant

I am a current DJ Alexander tenant and am leaving the property due to health issues and not any issue with flat . I have been worrying about the checkout procedure and the things that I need to sort and put in place to end the tenancy . So I called the office today to discuss the issue and was put through to Gemma in the Edinburgh office . I explained the situation as best I could and Gemma was brilliant she listened to my concerns , put my mind at ease and explained in detail what I could do to remedy the situation. I phoned close to closing time and even so there was no rush and she took the time to help me . I now feel much happier after the call and know exactly what I need to do . Gemma is truly a credit to DJ Alexander .

The Edinburgh sales team were wonderful - my flat was promptly on the market and sold within a week! Stephen was my main contact. I found him professional and pleasant - nothing was ever an issue. He kept me updated throughout and made it such an easy process. He really went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable and provided a helpful sounding board at each stage. James managed the viewings. As soon as the advert went live viewings started being booked in. I was really impressed by the pace he had people in and looking around. Finally Sara provided the marketing pack. It was polished and really did show the property in the best possible way. I had one small piece of feedback and she turned it around the same day to get the advert online.

Having had a really positive experience with DJ Alexander as letting agents it was easy to use them as estate agents when selling my property. Once again they did not disappoint. Connor McNulty and Ruth Woodcock of DJ Alexander, Byres Road, Glasgow were amazing. They took care of everything. I live quite a distance from my property so I really needed people who I could rely on. No question was considered too silly and they always got back to me promptly. DJ A have provided a superb service dealing with a tricky tenant whilst helping me through a sales process. We recently received an email out of the blue stating that their agent would be accessing our rental home on a certain date to carry out an inspection. Much in the same way the police might with a search warrant.The correct thing to do considering we are indirectly paying their fees, would be a courtesy email, requesting a convenient time for inspection. Stonehouse were terrible agents (to the point we had to communicate directly with our landlords about defects issues) , and it seems DJ Alexander wish to carry on the awful service in the same vein.
