I am a current tenant of DJ Alexander and I have had the pleasure to deal with the Fantastic Paul Hyett-Czompo. He has completed 2 property inspections in my home and is so respectful and polite. Paul is responsive with his communication and in arranging maintenance issues. I can't rate Paul and DJ Alexander highy enough!

Fast, efficient and friendly estate agents

Moving house is generally a stressful event on its own, never mind the fact that I had to move during Covid-19 pandemic from another city. I would like to thank Natalie Cotton and Lee Charlton for all their efforts.They have answered all my questions and requests while managing to finalise my tenancy agreement at such short notice. Because of their efforts, I did not had to continuously seek new properties as theirs are actually the best in Edinburgh and I have saved money since I secured a property really fast.All these things have helped me feel less stress and actually look forward to move into my new property. Overall, I am extremely happy with D.J. Alexander especially as I have tried a few estate agents before them and they haven't responded or helped in any way with my requests.

Outstanding service from Catherine Bruce at DJ Alexanders

I have been using D J Alexanders to rent out my property for years and they are first class. They inform me of any repairs needed immediately and advise me of the best way forward. My flat is never empty for long and they are amazing at finding new tenants. I have recently asked Alexander’s to sell my flat and Catherine Bruce has sold it for me in less than a week. Catherine is unbelievably professional and keeps me informed at all times. She also sold my husband’s flat in record time with excellent service. I really cannot praise Catherine highly enough.

I've been renting my property for almost 18 years and DJ Alexander have acted on behalf of my landlord since the merger of EPM and themselves. D J Alexander have been excellent. I deal with Richard Anderson a lot and I feel at ease speaking to him regarding anything. The maintenance team are excellent also. My daughter has just moved out with my granddaughter and D J Alexander secured a tenancy for her, 5 minutes away from me. Elaine showed us around and Rachael dealt with all the administrative paperwork. Both were fantastic. Since moving in there has been an issue with the boiler but due to COVID and Brexit the part is out of stock. D J Alexander arranged for 3 heaters to come which came from Argos.I highly recommend D J Alexander they give a first class service.

Very bad customer experience

Very bad customer experience. Gas Hob was not working and Agent who has dealt with my check in process knows that it was not working but wantedly didn’t inform me. Now it’s has been 5 days since I moved in and Gas hob is still not working and issue is not resolved

Proceed with caution. They will try to squeeze money out of your security deposit. They took a photo of a bit of dust and tried to charge us 100£ for a 4 hour professional cleaning service to come in, which is actually quite comical. They refused to negotiate. Luckily safe-deposit-Scotland is there to stop such snakes. We went through the adjudication process and of course SDScotland sided with us in the end.

Unprofessional, poor communication and didn’t make us feel valued or welcome at all. Flat was in horrendous condition and tried to argue with us when we brought up some of the items left in the flat before we moved in. Regularly sent contractors to the flat without telling us, especially when they had given them keys which you can imagine caused me to jump up from my seat on multiple occasions. Would not recommend this company to anyone.

I had a very positive experience with Ikenna Njoku, Property Relationship Manager. The washing machine replacement was arranged and completed within just a week, which was much faster than expected. We have been very happy with Dj Alexander. They have managed our Edinburgh flat for nearly 20 years. They are very good at getting the best people in to do work and don’t slap on a surcharge as all agents do south of the border!
