We have just completed on the purchase of our property on The Grove Estate. This has been our first experience of buying a new build and I have to say the process has been seem less. I can’t speak highly enough of Janet and her team they have been there on hand for every question and always been swift and helpful in replying. I would definitely rate the experience as a 10/10 if you are thinking of starting your new build purchase.
The Grove is a beautiful development and we're sure you'll be very happy there, congratulations on your new home and thank you so much for the great review.

I can’t thank Jade and Rebecca enough! They are both amazing. They have given us 5* if not more customer service, they really understood what we wanted and went above and beyond for us. They make you feel like no question is a bother and have made our journey so far the best it can be. I would recommend them to anyone (have already recommended 2 people)! We were back and forth over a fairly long period of time until we finally settled on what we wanted and put our reservation fee down. Alanna and Andrea were both incredibly patient with us and accommodating when we wanted to bring family to view show homes before making final decisions.

I am new to the Jersey Island and I was very worried getting an apartment to live in. I found this great property in Metropol and learned about Dandara Lettings Company who facilitates the letting arrangement, it was the best experience for me. The arrangements were made so easy! I would like to give special thanks to Brendan McGill and Terri Booth for their efforts and assistance in processing my application up to the date of my move-in. So far, so great! We put down a reservation fee in November 2021 at Dandara, Shawfair near Edinburgh and so far our experience of Dandara's customer service has been excellent. We first met Carmela at the show house and she couldn't have been more attentive, she did everything to understand our needs during the visit. She was also very patient with our little toddler! We have been in constant contact with Carmela while working on our choices for kitchens, tiling and other elements. Carmela has been very patient and very quick to respond to our questions. We recently met with the Site Manager Kyle who was well informed and knowledgeable. Every time we visit the sales house the team give us a warm welcome and they are very reassuring about the whole process. So far, so great and I will write another review once we have moved into our new home.

Having moved into our new house over four months ago, I wish we could say we were completely happy, but we’d be lying.Positives first. The house itself is beautiful and we’re really happy to be here. It’s well designed, well proportioned, and the overall finish and location are very good. Becky and the sales team at the start were brilliant, and everyone we’ve dealt with since have been very friendly and courteous throughout.But we’ve had major issues, some of which are still unresolved. When we first moved in, within a few days we had a leaking shower in an en-suite which caused a damp patch on the ceiling below. The leak itself was eventually resolved, but it was a painful process and there are still knock on effects that haven’t been dealt with. It actually ended up being three separate leaks in the master en-suite alone (that we’re aware of). We still have dark damp patches in the grout of the tiled floor which means that water is probably still trapped underneath, and the floor will probably need to be taken up and redone.We also had a nightmare with the front window of the master bedroom where water would literally pour in when it rained heavily. Again, this has now been resolved, though it took weeks of stress and disruption.Other issues have included major redecoration work to redo the downstairs ceilings as they were really rough before, which resulted in lots of mess and disruption, as well as many other smaller issues.There were times before Christmas when my wife and I would joke about how many trades we would have coming into the house to fix problems in a given week. When I say we joked, we certainly weren’t laughing. We were trying to live around it and I don’t know what we would have done if I wasn’t still working from home.Four months on, and our snagging list is over fifty items, and those are just the ones that have been rectified - we’re still having to chase for other items to be complete, including poor exterior brickwork, scratched shower glass and issues with the front door. When we first moved in, we spoke to other residents in the same development who said they had had similar issues. One of the residents said that, after four months, he finally had everything resolved. We thought he had just had a bad experience, but it feels like this is the norm.As alluded to above, the worst part is the constant chasing. Sue from customer care is lovely, really friendly and it’s not her fault, but overall Dandara’s customer care has, in my opinion, been terrible. Weeks and weeks go by and you have to constantly email and phone them. You hardly ever get a response from them and we’re basically having to project manage outstanding issues ourselves on a house that cost a LOT of money and should have been finished to a much better standard in the first place.We’d never bought a new build before but we’d heard that they can be prone to problems and issues afterwards, and from speaking to other people, Dandara certainly have a better reputation than some of the other bigger name house builders, but what should have been an amazing experience for us has just been tainted by things that should have been done a lot better when the house was being built, combined with a complete lack of proactive customer care afterwards. The saddest part is that we’ve had so much stress and disruption over months, but we’ve not had anything in the way of a proper apology, any kind of gesture of goodwill, or just any kind of ownership by Dandara or proper recognition that things should have been done better at the start. It still doesn't feel like there's an end is sight, or that anyone at Dandara is even taking our issues seriously.

It is almost a year since we reserved our plot for The Maple at Barley Brae. It has been an experience having now moved in to our beautiful new home on 5 November.Given the problems with Covid, supplies of building materials and staff levels our entry date was put back from June and we did not receive our keys until 5 November. This was a "nightmare" for us having moved out of our previous property at the end of April. This delay caused some fraught phone conversations with myself and Nicky at Barley Brae! The only advantage was that we bought this house at the agreed purchase price as r December 2020 which definitely worked in our favour.Nicky had advised that given the build timescales she had chosen some of the internal finishes, namely tiles, colour of kitchen, worktops etc. I would have to say that Nicky's choices were fantastic as we are delighted with her choices. In the run up to obtaining the keys Nick kept us up to date with any issues, procedures etc which was very much appreciated. Nicky definitely takes ownership of the process and was very helpful up to and including the moving in process.On moving in inevitively there were snagging issues and at this stage we were handed over to the Site Manager Alasdair and his deputy Edyta. Both have been extremely helpful in sorting the snagging issues and there has been no problems in agreeing any remedial action to be taken to resolve any issues. Both Alasdair and Edyta are literally "on site" and are both very helpful in any issues we have had to sort. Our "snagger" Piotr has bee fantastic and can turn his hand to all trades.Having been in out previous house for 30+ years we were wary about this move but despite all the issues from covid, time delays etc we are delighted with our new home and the quality in the finished home is excellent. I would definitely recommend a Dandara home to anyone who is considering buying one, despite delays etc!!

We have now been in our new home for a little over 6 weeks and I can honestly say that the customer journey from Dandara - Novo - Drayton has been hassle and problem free. Val and her team have been a pleasure throughout. They keep you updated every step if the way, we were looking at a potential delay on our move date and Val done everything she could to have us complete on time. Upon moving in some snagging issues were noted, we supplied the list to Kieran (site manager) and everything was rectified within a week. No messing about or chasing needed.Overall a very pleassureable house purchase that went as smoothly as it could have. 1 very happy family in their new home Thanks so much to the team here.

We recently moved into one of the new build properties in the Novo development in Drayton, Portsmouth. The sales team Tracy & Val were brilliant. Really friendly, and walked us through the whole process from start to finish making it really easy. We encountered some challenges during the purchase and both of them used their internal network to unlock issues which ensured we were in our new place within 8 weeks from paying the deposit. The initial snagging and support has also been very good. Currently raised some issues through the after care team and hoping this goes as smoothly as the experience with Dandara to-date. Would thoroughly recommend a Dandara new build.

Recently purchased an apartment from Dandara on jersey. Am really impressed with the spec/finish and 270 degree views from the balcony… and the apartment exceeded my high expectations. The location is also great and ticks all my boxes. Additionally, the staff at Sales have been fantastic with Kerry Rodgers always helpful and kept me appraised during the process. Russel and Rachel in Customer Care were very professional and I was extremely impressed by the attention to detail they demonstrated during the inspections and at handover. Thankyou all….. Samantha is always helpful, polite and highly efficient- if anything is wrong where we live we can be confident it will put right as soon as possible. I have been living in my Dandara apartment now for just over 3 years having bought off plan.The girls are great if I’ve had to pop into the sales shop in town to ask for any advice and from the beginning Katrina was my ‘go to’ person answering any questions I had and offering help and advice making the decision to purchase an apartment an easy choice.I have never been disappointed in my decision, not only is it a great location and good size apartment, the services provided also make life easy as I don’t have to think about rates and building insurance as that’s all taken care of in the service charges together with the maintenance of the buildings internally and externally including the carpark area. I would definitely use Dandara again for the whole package provided and a stress free living experience.
