GoogleSpring valley Terrace Tenant for 2 years managed by Albany. Avoid this letting agency at all costs. I rented a flat in Morningside which was riddled with damp. So much so, the walls were crumbling. I was ridiculed countless times when I reached out to senior managers at Albany. I still have the emails. It was only recently, five years after renting with them, they finally decided to stop sending me spam emails. Their behaviour hadn’t changed. Two hours after this public review they responded. It was an oppressive and abusive experience renting with this agency. Even now I had PTSD about their staff unlocking the front door and simply coming into the property while I was showering or sleeping (nigh shift worker) without giving prior notice.

GoogleExcellent throughout. Proactive and helpful with the process of renting out my flat for the first time, including guidance. They really know Edinburgh and the market. I felt the flat was always in good hands, and that someone who cared responded quickly to any questions. The detail in the reports on the condition of the flat at the start and throughout tenancy was incredibly detailed and acurate, both more than I expected or experienced myself when renting. I don't hesitate to recommend Albany and would/will ask to work with them again.

GoogleAwful experience with Albany and Jamie - Stay clear! We have been consistently ignored, throughout multiple maintenance requests of really serious issues. When complaining about this, we have been ignored, now 3 months after moving out we can't even get a reply to them. I'm not surprised to see so many other reviews stating the same issues. Jamie is also trying to take £600 out of our deposit for the most ridiculous reasons, and they are admitting the work has not actually been done! If you can avoid them, please do, they have caused us so much stress, and do not seem to care at all about their tenants.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Value

GoogleI was recently shown a flat by Jenna from Albany Lettings. Jenna was friendly, warm, and helpful. She could answer any question I had and obviously knew the property specs well. The flat was well kept and I would definitely make sure to view an Albany property again!

GoogleEveryone at Albany Lettings was very helpful. As an international student, they were able to work around the time difference and were quick to respond to any emails. I mainly worked with Bethany, who was very reliable throughout the entire process. I definitely recommend Albany Lettings if you are an Edinburgh local or an expat/international student looking for a flat to rent!
