Worst experience of any letting agency I’ve had in Edinburgh. After taking an unreasonably large deposit of more than £3260 from 5 students, they refused to respond to any calls or attempts we made to get it back after we moved out. We were continuously told the person dealing with it was unavailable and that we’d be called back, which didn’t happen once. After moving out we were completely ignored, and eventually had to threaten legal action to get a response. Even then they lied, saying we’d have it back by the end of the week, they’d “chase it up” and after about 8 weeks of this we finally received a report stating damage of over £500. Cleaning and minimal wear and tear are fair enough and we were willing to pay for these, but after we asked why we’d been charged £60 for “blue tac marks” that had been there before we moved in, they chose again to ignore our requests for more details or our attempts to resolve these costs. We ended up having to pay these huge costs because they ignored our requests for cleaning reports to prove what they’d claimed needed doing, and after so long we were desperate for the money back. Will never be using this agency again, and would recommend if you do to apply for your deposit back through safe deposits Scotland immediately after moving out so you don’t have to wait and be ignored for as long as we were.NegativeResponsiveness, Professionalism
