Rosie Hewitt at Cubitt & West Arundel is absolutely exceptional. I needed a new home because of a personal tragedy, Rosie promised that she would find me a place that would "fit me as a person not just as a client" and she absolutely did. She went above and beyond to find me the right property and manage the purchasing process, which was not at all easy. I can only thank her and highly recommend her services to anyone looking for "their perfect home", not just a house to live in.

A great experience selling our Portsmouth Mid-Terrace.

Having first bought our Mid-Terrace house in Portsmouth through Cubitt & West in 2020, when deciding to move house last year, we chose to make our sale with them. Having navigated the difficult mortgage landscape at the time and having secured our sale earlier this year the sales progression team were diligent and professional in that - sometimes - prolonged space between agreeing a sale and exchange. In particular Julie from the progression team was fantastic in liaising with us and our buyers as our onward purchase was finalised and agreed. I would thoroughly recommend the whole team at Cubitt & West to anyone looking to sell or buy in the Portsmouth or surrounding area.

Having placed our property with another agent and having wasted close to 6 months, we moved to C&W and quite quickly they had found us a very suitable buyer and the sale progressed well through to completion. Impressed By Professionalism At Cubitt & West Bognor Regis Office

After living in our home for 27 years, it was a brave step to make the decision to put our house on the market. We had a number of estate agents visit us but chose Cubitt & West as we were so impressed at the initial visit by the Manager, Sam Collins. Sam instilled confidence from day one and to be fair the team has managed to secure a buyer for us 32 days after the house went on the market! Final Review

Just wanted to give a final review of our purchase made through Cubitt & West. Zoey & Jaz dealt with the negotiations of our purchase and did everything they could to get us a great deal. We were more than satisfied with their service & would highly recommend them as agents and representatives. Julie Bramble was very hands on with the negotiations and progress of our sale. She was always on hand to speak to and is very knowledgeable in this field. Julie is a credit to the team and I think she does a brilliant job in making everyone feel at ease through the stages. Our purchase has been a whirlwind of emotions and stress but I think it was most definitely not as stressful as it could have been without Julie taking it on and working hard on it. Cubitt and West saved my family from homelessness

I have been renting property in the area for over 20 years, so have experienced most of the letting agencies.Genuinely, Cubitt and West (Portsmouth) are, by far, the best letting agency I have ever dealt with. They have far exceeded my expectations. They respond quickly to enquiries. Even their head office (Arun Estates).Genuinely nice people, who do their utmost to help. The property is beautiful, in a nice area and kept in good repair.Landlords are lovely.My experience is; a tradesman coming within a week of me reporting any issue.The system they use for logging repairs is fantastic too. You can upload photo's, write comments and view progress of repair and feedback. Your tenancy info and interim inspection reports are on there too, which is so handy.Myself and my family are eternally grateful to Cubitt and West for everything they did to help us be housed. I was 8 months pregnant and had been looking for 4 months. Things were getting very desperate. I was stressed and cried a lot that I couldn't find a home for my family with the housing shortage and so many people trying for each house. I had to move from social housing accommodation that was flooding, mouldy, and subsiding in a very rough area that was unsafe. The council had no property to rehouse us.Every letting agent chose the highest earners. Without the kindness of the agents of Cubitt and West I am sure me and my children would have been homeless or livingnin some awful council temporary accommodation.They gave me a 2 year tenancy. I cried so much with relief when they told me they put me forward to the landlord and the landlord accepted me. This gave me peace of mind and security.The only issue I had was with the company that do the credit referencing. They were pretty appalling and probably the worst and slowest i have ever dealt with, but the Cubitt and West agents liased with me every day and did everything possible to get it completed.Just found out the landlord is happy to extend the tenancy when it is time to renew and that the agents will negotiate an extended period for me.Me and my family can settle now and be secure in the feeling this will be our home.Made me and my kids dreams come true. The house is beautiful. We feel so blessed and are really grateful for everything they have done for us.This has been life changing for my family. My children are so happy and proud to have their friends over. They are excelling at school now.Our quality of life has improved so much. Our health has improved now we aren't stressed, depressed, and unable to breathe, as we were in the previous social housing accommodation.We feel safe and are a really happy family now.I am no longer disabled and am about to finish my degree and get back to work after years of being sick.I highly recommend Cubitt and West to anyone who wants letting agents who actually care about your rental experience, show empathy and compassion, and do an altogether outstanding job.I wouldn't rent property through anyone else now.

Cubitt and West Brighton don't want my business...?!

I am really disappointed by the interaction that I have received from Ebba at Cubitt and West Fiveways, Brighton. I have called a few times today to try to get booked in for a valuation to sell my property. After some difficulty getting through and finally speaking to someone in head office to get an appointment, Ebba calls back to rearrange. When I said that I could move the appointment but if there were any issues I would call to let her know Ebba replied 'that if it wasn’t a real appointment she would take it out of her diary’. Not a real appointment? That’s a strange comment. I would like to book in the valuation which is why Ebba was the 4th person today from Cubitt and West that I spoke to in order to arrange. When I tried to explain that the situation may not in my control and I was only giving her a heads up to be considerate she said ‘that she was rearranging her whole schedule to fit me in and didn’t want to do that if I wan’t going to guarantee the appointment’. I’m confused as to why Cubitt and West Brighton don’t want my business? And coming from Estate agents that often have to cancel / reschedule as they are dealing with situations out of their control…?! I purchased this flat through Cubitt and West years ago and sadly will no longer return to them for help.

Where do we start, I guess with Paige White first, what a diamond she is, from the very moment we first met her, she was friendly helpful and most importantly honest. The place Paige took us too, she warned us go in with an open mind, as work was ongoing at the property but not ready yet. We went and while we went in with an open mind, it was difficult to see beyond. Paige said I will keep a close eye on the progress and update you. We went away more in hope than anything else. Within a week of that viewing Paige called us and said come back and see what has been done. Which we did and while it was not yet ready the transformation was amazing. Paige had been right along, We said yes to the property and Paige went out of her way to get the paperwork side of things moving. When dealing with the rest of the team in the Bognor branch of C & W they too were friendly and helpful. Inside a month we are in the property and a huge part of that was down to Paige White.

Incompetent Estate Agent

An extremely stressful, upsetting and intimidating experience with Cubit and West, Haywards Heath.At the rushed initial meeting, David Dunham failed to record vital information regarding title deeds, footpath and building regulations that was given to him at the time.This vital information was not passed on to the buyer at the initial viewing causing delays and uncertainty with the sale of the property.There were no updates or cooperation during the sale of the property.Overall I found David Dunham unhelpful, intimidating and unprofessional and would definitely not recommend this company

A disaster from the start

A disaster from the start - moving into a rental in Crowborough with the support from the Crawley branch, with direct experience working with several members in the branch, it is comprised of a collective bunch of inadequate representatives to say the least. We moved into a property that was filthy, full of the old tenants belonging, exposed plug sockets, toilet not working and an ongoing issue with Rats. There was no preparation or interest in making the property presentable. Despite the significant amount of money one pays in todays market, little concern was shown for our move in. During our stay we have continued to tackle the issue with rats, adding to this during winter, we had an issue with a carbon issue resulting in our gas being turned off. Requiring the next stage to have an engineer attend the property, this took 7 days without heating or hot water - baring in mind we have 2 small children. Fortunately we were able to opt in for a break clause that enabled us to leave the property and have now received a significantly better experience from another agency. I personally believe we become a burden, issues that they'd rather not hear about. However fortunately for us, we haven't ignored the issues and still have an outstanding formal compliant.It is now 2 weeks and we haven't received confirmation on when our deposit will be received.

Sale of our family home

My brother and I sadly found ourselves having to sell our family home following the passing of our Mother. The team at Cubitt & West, Wallington made this emotional experience as easy as possible while remaining sympathetic to our feelings and emotions. It was a huge help and weight off our mind to have the process explained to us and how the team would achieve a successful sale at the correct price.
