Scarlett rescued me after I managed to lock myself out of my apartment as I was moving out of it, saving me hours of waiting around outside in December in just a t-shirt and jeans. She then helped me finalise the details of my vacation of the property. She was extremely professional, friendly, and helpful throughout what could have been a much more stressful experience. TrustpilotI had a terrible experience as a tenant
I had a terrible experience as a tenant managed by Scottfraser. During my stay in one of their properties in Witney, one light fitting broke and the dishwasher broke . I submitted repair request immediately but there was no response. Nothing was fixed. We decided to end the tenancy early because we had enough. Moved out 2 months ago and still haven't see our deposit. Tried to contact the property manager Sol Jacob-Bryan, he ignores our emails. It takes an average of 2 weeks and 2 follow-up emails to get him to reply. And he does not show any willingness to solve any problem or communicate with the landlord at all. It makes me wonder if he's deliberately doing a bad job because he's unhappy at work, or if he's been put on too much work that he hasn't got the energy to do his job properly. When he answers the phone, he sounded bored, confused and genuinely uninterested. Anyways, this is caused me considerable financial loss and frustration.

GoogleEdward and particularly Oliver worked particularly hard to sell my rather unusual 18th century house. They managed to sell it twice but, sadly, both sales fell through for different reasons. They were very diligent in keeping me informed of the progress and worked hard to bring people to view the house.

Working most closely with Joanna Channon, I can recommend her unreservedly in her friendly and courteous professionalism, understanding of renter needs and quick response time to queries or requests. In our long tenancy, she has been our excellent and long-standing liaison with the landlord, especially in view of property care and maintenance needs. GoogleI would strongly advise against using this letting agent - we have just had a terrible time getting the deposit back following a student let for my son and 4 friends. The liabilities they were claiming for were totally ridiculous, this agency is either incompetent or corrupt or both (in my opinion). They would not listen to reason and their Customer Relations department did not respond to my emails. I wasted weeks of my time researching the spurious claims and gathering evidence to refute them, and I’m loathe to waste any more of my time describing all the frustrations. Unfortunately, it costs them nothing to try withholding deposits, in the hope that students are either too naïve or inexperienced to refute the claims. However, I was determined not to let them get away with it. Eventually the dispute went to the TDS for adjudication, and of the £1036 originally claimed by the letting agent, only £55 was deemed a fair amount to award to the landlord by the independent adjudicator! Enough said. If you do still plan to use this outfit, I strongly recommend you study the Check-In inventory carefully (ours was hidden on a web-portal and we were not made aware of its existence), take lots of photographs on Day 1, keep records of all correspondence (you’ll need this as evidence for the TDS) and do not assume fair play. Alternatively, just be prepared to forego £1000 of your deposit at the end of the tenancy, for an easy life.

GoogleI have let a house through Scott Fraser for the past 7 years, most recently working with Joanna Channon, and I am really pleased with the service that I and my tenants have received. Before starting the let, my wife and I lived in the house for 8 years, painstakingly did it up and made it a home that we loved. It was therefore very important to me that the house and tenants were well looked after. Scott Fraser have done a really good job and I am very happy.

GoogleHad a very positive first impression with Scott Fraser. We are a student group interested in a 5 bedroom rental. We filled a form, booked a viewing, liked the property and decided to apply. Initially, we were told that they have all the neccessary information and, if interested, we should just give them a call, but we were urged to decide on the same day because they would be sending all applications to the landlord. We confirmed our interest to the property on the same day, both through email and phone, and we thought the application was done. The following day, we were greeted by an email asking for an additional 'formal' application, urging us again to complete it on the same day. Furthermore, they were asking for a guarantor all of a sudden, which had never been discussed before. Being postgraduate students, we each have our own scholarships to cover the costs of living and, in our previous tenancy, we could use those instead of a guarantor. It turns out this is not the case here. Not only our scholarships could not be used as evidence that we have enough funds to cover the monthly rent, apparently we should be making 26.000£ each a year to avoid the need of a guarantor. Alternatively, we should pay the entire year's rent in advance (!) if we wanted our application to be 'formally' considered. Being a professional lettings agency, I would have expected something as crucial as this to have been mentioned at some point during our communications with the five different people we spoke. Instead, they had to waste our time and discriminate against us by asking for outrageous demands, when clearly we are able to afford said rent.
