Having moved every year for the past ten years, I am thoroughly impressed and blown away by the service Scott Fraser provided. In particular, Sofia Wilkins from Witney branch who has been amazing throughout this whole process. They are responsive, considerate and goes above and beyond to be inform and support as much as possible. Having Sofia as our point of contact has made this move seamless, stress free and an enjoyable experience. She always responded quickly and even with things she did not readily know answer to, was helpful in liasing with landlords and finding information as efficiently as possible. She and the team went above and beyond whenever possible and has been accomodating consistently. We are very happy with the service Scott Fraser has provided and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for properties and rentals. Thank you Sofia and team for all your help and support.

These people are just scammers

These people are just scammers. They put my property on the market. Didn't respond to any emails for 3 weeks and there are no viewings. In that time they didn't put a sign at my house saying for sale. When I went to their offices, my property wasn't even on show in their window or inside. They had pictures of properties with 'SOLD' written on it rather than have my property. As this was suspicious, a friend queried asking for details about the property via Rightmove and got no response from Scott Fraser. Their plan was to tell me that there was no interest and then make me drop the price. Then they'd sell it on to a friend. There are minimal houses for sale in Oxford and therefore Scott Fraser were actively trying to reduce the price I'll accept. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.

Shockingly bad experience…

I’ve had a shockingly bad experience with a rental property let and managed by this agent. Rent was paid several months in advance but on moving in it became clear that there were a whole series of problems with the house that should have been identified and addressed prior to the property being marketed (not least the fact that a number of the radiators in the house needed replacing). Problems have been made worse by the fact that it has taken weeks and multiple visits by various contractors to begin to address the problems and we have had to live with the disruption this has caused. We’ve been without properly functioning heating for nearly two months in the coldest part of the year. I’ve had to spend lots of time chasing the property manager and waiting around for workmen who show up late or not at all. My advice to anyone thinking of renting through this agent is to do a very thorough check of the property yourself (including testing heating and hot water systems and inspecting the boiler) before agreeing a let.

Extremely helpful

All round excellent experience from start to finish. William Davis was super helpful and always on hand to answer any questions or queries both about the property and application process. His speedy responses and transparency made the experience easy and stress free. Scottfraser were also very accommodating in allowing for a virtual viewing as I was unable to view the property in person. Emma was incredibly helpful and video called me to show me round the property and also answer any questions. I am also thrilled with the property. Paperwork is very confusing, response erratic (sometimes good and sometimes really slow to the extent you think your question has gone into a bottomless pit), person responsible for property seems to change frequently and no-one informs you of the change, when maintenance needed often just get sent a quote with no info about problem.

Appalling!

I called Scottfraser Summertown three times to chase the return of my deposit. On each occasion I was promised a call back, and not once did anyone follow through. No one seemed able to explain why a straightforward UK bank transfer could take up to 10 days, nor did anyone take responsibility for providing an update. After almost 10 years as a tenant, the complete lack of courtesy, communication, and basic competence has been genuinely appalling. A very disappointing end to a long tenancy.

I was a tenant at a property in Summertown for a period of eight months and had to put up with unprofessionalism, a clunky management portal, breaches of the tenancy agreement by staff and contractors and an unlawful and unnecessary delay in the return of my deposit.

From the first day we met Simon Liddicot the branch manager regarding our home sale, everything was smooth sailing. We needed to go away on holiday within a few days of commissioning Scottfraser and they were able to complete all the initial formalities on time - this meant weekend and out-of-office hours visits. When Simon was away, working with his colleague, Catherine Dernie was also a joy. One thing we enjoyed most with Scottfraser was the regular detailed information we received, sometimes real time, during the entire process. Scottfraser also linked up with the solicitors on our behalf at various times to ensure early completion.
