Fantastic service from Sophie Wyatt, Sophie was professional throughout the process, every email, phone call was as promised. It’s the personal touch which is what you need when moving house. It’s made moving house fun and such an easy process. Can highly recommend the company and you need to ask for Sophie. It’s 10 out of 10 stars from me!

I recently have been going through the process of buying a house being sold through Scott Fraser's Cowley office in Oxford. The agent Razia Safari has been quite amazing and extremely helping during the whole time. She has been great in maintaining a transparent communication between the sellers and myself, which has helped me a lot during these last months. Razia has also been very approachable, helpful and accommodating in providing support and access to the property whenever I have requested. She has also been very helpful in providing a steer and support in chasing the sellers and me to complete the relevant paperwork in a timely manner, which has been quite useful. Overall I would highly recommend working with Razia who has made a difficult process less stressful!

Absolute nightmare of an agency A day before the tenancy start we discovered that the flat was not cleaned, was in a completely different state (mould , cracks on walls, stinky wardrobe, dirty mattress) from what was shown in the video (the apartment won't be shown to you before you send a security deposit, which also if you refuse to carry on after seeing it won't be returned to you). They never call back after taking your details. Lettings team incomprehensibly incompetent, you ask them questions, and they keep saying don't know this and that, and always late for meetings (we had to wait for the girl for over an hour while she also forgot to take the right keys). After moving in we discovered that opening readings were not taken as well as no inventory prepared. Out of all the team, our property manager Oliver is the only nice and smart guy that actually gets things done(arranged how the situation can be fixed). However, the amount of issues we had should have never happened in the first place. If I could go back, I would never rent from Scott Fraser

Very Professional Letting Agents

Have used them for letting property for years, which has become increasingly bureaucratic and problematic in Oxford. Scott Fraser East Oxford have always been able to deal with the extra work and manage the property effectively. They always achieve top rental amounts and are a pleasure to deal with. From start to finish, the service from Scott Fraser has been of a very high standard. It was clear from the initial valuation meeting that they had done their homework on the property and were fully committed to selling the property at pace and for a competitive value. They were also very responsive to my circumstances and able to advise accordingly. During the photography/brochure phase, they really took the time to showcase the house at its best and the viewings themselves were delivered with utmost professionalism and in a way that accommodated my availability too. The service since receiving the initial offers right through to exchange has been fantastic. Lydia has been highly responsive and couldn't do enough to help. Scott Fraser have been exceptional from start to finish throughout our first home buying experience. Razia took great care in seeing every step through and chasing up external processes wherever hurdles arose. The whole East Oxford office team are a great asset to the company; everyone we had contact with was so friendly and knowledgeable and not to mention efficient. It was a long process due to conveyancers and solicitors stalling on both sides of the sale, so had it not been for Razia and the rest of the Scottish Fraser team being so supportive from start to finish, I honestly don’t know how we would have managed. We highly recommend this team and are so thankful for Razia’s outstanding and truly caring service.

Awful letting agency - AVOID!

We rented a house in North Oxford through Scott Fraser. The initial experience was fine, from viewing to getting our tenancy signed and negotiating some issues to be fixed as a condition of the tenancy. But it all went spectacularly downhill after we moved in. There was no property information provided, and some of the information in the inventory was wrong. One of our appliances was dangerous to use and took 2 months to replace. We were passed from pillar to post, the property manager kept changing and the only thing that was fixed in good time was a leak. All other issues were put on a list to be dealt with goodness knows when. The end of tenancy process was awful - poor communication and they hounded us for spurious costs despite us leaving the property in better condition than when we moved in. Absolute sharks. We did wonder whether this just was an unfortunate experience so we spoke to the following tenants when we gave them our forwarding address. They had the same issues repeated - all the information we’d taken the trouble to correct at the end of tenancy had simply been ignored, and if we hadn’t contacted them they would have had the same problems of trying to understand basic things like where the water meter was and the code to the burglar alarm. This company shouldn’t be fit to operate.
