The lettings process went smoothly, and we’ve never had any issues with them. GoogleHaving worked with many agents over the past 18 years I can honestly say that Anthony Lettings is by far the most professional letter out there. We’ve been with them for 3 years and just renewed for another 3. They respond fast to maintenance issues, they’re personable and I genuinely feel they value the relationship with the tenant; not just the landlord, from what I’ve experienced.

GoogleAbsolutely rubbish, moved in month ago, after few days we realised that fridge is reading temperature 13°C which isabove maximum limit for domestic refrigerators (3°C-5°C) reported it straight away, agency send contractor who said everything is fine... We were going backwards and forwards asking for this to be fixed, as this could result in food poisoning, however all we hear back is that contractor has checked it and everything is fine, i have asked for temperature readings to be provided from his visit, however no luck. Today we just came back from holiday to find freezer completely defrosted and fridge reading at 27°C, we are left with no food and fridge for the weekend, this 'Brilliant' agency is now closed and we can't contact anyone.
Hi Marcin, Sorry to hear you're having a bad experience with us. I believe Kelsie has been dealing with this for you and a new Fridge Freezer has now been installed. Unfortunately we are in a position whereby we send our trusted contractors to look into any potential issues, if we are told by a specialist there are no issues we take their word for it as they have a better understanding of the appliance than we do as letting agents. GoogleI have rented out my property through Anthony Lettings for 12 years - since leaving England for Australia in 2006. My primary contacts have been Linda and Marc during that time, and I can honestly say, they are the absolute best! Being so far away, I need an agency that I can trust....and I trust them implicitly to do right by me as the landlord, and also by the tenant. They organise everything, they respond quickly to requests, are extremely professional and over the period of 12 years, my flat has been empty for only minimal periods. I would highly recommend Anthony Lettings if you are looking for a letting agent, and personally, I would not go anywhere else.

GoogleAVOID AT ALL COST, ESPECIALLY STUDENTS!! Had a major problem retaining my deposit that I paid even though we left the property in better condition than the condition it was in at the start! They try to target students knowing we need accommodation for university however at the end of the tenancy they will do everything they can to keep your not give your deposit back Office representatives are highly unprofessional when speaking to you/sending emails. Hi Gauri, Thanks for your feedback however I find your comments completely unfounded. We expect our properties to be returned in a similar condition (minus fair wear & tear) to when they were originally let. You will see we don't have many bad reviews but the ones we do are from former tenants unwilling to accept responsibility for the way they have left properties. We send you all the relevant information required in order to finish your tenancy in the correct manner so that the deposit can be returned promptly. Where possible, this is the desired outcome as it creates more work for us, unhappy landlords and clearly unhappy tenants. We're the only local trading standards approved letting agent and are members of RLA, Safeagent, Guild of lettings & management, guild of property professionals, UKALA and of course the property ombudsman. I would argue we're one of the most qualified agents within Hertfordshire so despite your claims I can assure you, your tenancy has been conducted with the upmost professionalism and in the correct manor. FacebookUsing Anthony Lettings (I didn’t choose them originally but they took over from Bluetop and didn’t bother informing the tenants for the whole year)was one of my worst decision when it comes to renting a property. I stayed in a flat with broken windows for 3 years and had to constantly chase them for the repair work but it never got done. Due to rain and broken window my furniture got damaged and not to forget the high electric bills to keep the property warm. When the tenancy ended I had to faced another difficult task in getting my deposit back. The agent’s claimed that we did not clean the property professionally but can anyone tell me and Anthony lettings how can it be left clean if 3 windows are 24/7 open. They charged me £250 plus for cleaning a 2 bedroom flat 😡 and altogether £550. I took advise from a friend who works for another agent and he advised me to raise the dispute but due to my busy schedule I didn’t had time to do that. My £550 are gone but I or any of my friend will never use this company again. Only use them if you are rich enough to sacrifice your deposit.
Good morning Yasir, Thank you for your feedback but unfortunately having looked at the property history and correspondence between yourself and our maintenance clerk, I find your comments to be very misleading and I would suggest going back to your emails to confirm why there was £550 deducted from your deposit. You openly admit you could have gone to dispute with this and I suggest in future if you are unhappy with the proposed costs, this is the route you take. On a further note, informing you of a merger should have been completed by the previous owners prior to completion. I apologise if this caused you any issues during your tenancy however I note none was ever raised. I also cannot find any notes relating to the window situation so please feel free to contact me directly on hertford@anthonylettings.co.uk to provide any evidence and I can look into this. As the apartments were built within the last 10 years, should there have been any issues this would have been sorted by the insurance policy so I see now reason why this would not have been completed but as stated, please contact me directly. I'm sorry you feel this has ended on a bad note however I can assure you everything has been carried out to the letter of the law and in an appropriate fashion. In a industry whereby qualifications are few and far between I am happy to say Anthony Lettings is the ONLY local trading standards approved again along with Guild of property professionals, Guild of lettings & management, TPO, Safeagent, RLA and UKALA registered. Unfortunately when it comes to check out procedures, its quite simple. Leave the property as you found it minus fair wear & tear, unfortunately in this situation this was not the case and therefore the deductions were made. Thank you
