Thomas Syms saved my purchase

Agreed purchase at a price we were really happy with but mortgage market going crazy caused us huge delays with our mortgage. The vendor previously listed dual agent and the other agent kept following up, despite being under offer, and us doing all we can to proceed as fast as possible. Without Thomas’ great levels of communication we could have lost the sale, very grateful for his assistance and will stay in touch with him long term.

We let our house with Winkworth Ealing Common Estate Agents for 10 years and the team was absolutely fantastic,very professional,efficient,helpful and doing a great job.One point we also appreciate is that not speaking a really good english,they were really patient ,always answering to our questions and taking time to explain things and to be sure that we had understood everything.Any problem which can occur with tenancy was solved easily. Fiona is always there when you have got questions or a problem as well as April and Malgo.We really appreciate the great job they did and in 10 years we did not have to complain at all.As landlords we strongly recommand this agency and if we let our house again we will not hesitate and will go back there.

Mina Olise has been managing my house in Ealing for many years and she is an absolute gem. Right from the day she took charge, I felt comfortable knowing that it was in good hands. Since I am overseas, Mina refurbished the whole property single-handedly, including the choice of flooring and fittings, also advising me on the costs. As a result I was able to charge a higher rent. On visiting the house I was enchanted with the results, not to mention meeting my very happy tenants. While Mina left the branch for a while, I missed her personal touch and was delighted when she came back. I can truly say that I can rely on her to look after my interest as if she were my own daughter. Winkworth Ealing have been my managing and letting agents for nearly 15 years, when I first had the pleasure of meeting Fiona. All other staff members are also great and always very helpful and efficient. Twice they have found me excellent tenants, without gaps in-between tenancies, and I am very happy with their excellent service. I highly recommend this branch.

I give Charles Lang 5 stars as an estate agent. I think he would be a credit to any estate agency he worked for. He is motivated not only by the thrill of the sale and the opportunity that brings for him personally but also by the idea he is selling homes, rather than just bricks and mortar. He was sensitive to our family situation and kept several different parties informed at the same time - which was no mean feat! When it came to the final stages involving an extended chain of properties he took the lead in the chasing solicitors, buyers and other estate agents to push the exchange over the line. He is highly motivated to make the sale but acts with a warmth and professionalism that builds trust. Thanks Charles,.

I would not recommend this renting

I would not recommend this renting agency to anyone. My experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. They are charging outrageous amounts for rent, far more than the property is worth, and they have been completely unresponsive when I’ve tried to get clarity on why the costs are so high.On top of that, they’ve held my full deposit without any valid explanation and refused to communicate properly. Getting in touch with them is almost impossible, and they never arrange meetings with the landlord, even when it's necessary. Overall, this agency is unprofessional, overcharges, and lacks basic customer service. Avoid at all costs!

DISAPPOINTING overall!I have to say, always had a pleasant experience with the agents, they do take their time for you and they are committed to their work.Unfortunately I can't say the same about the propriety management team whom I have struggled with since the beginning, they mostly act in behalf of the landlord and they would rip you off whenever they can.I left my old propriety (rented through WW) on the 31st of May 2022 and legally they have 14 days to agree on your deposit refund. We are now 25 days later and I have to chase them so they can chase the landlord.My fault is that I am unable to obtain a council tax bill online so H&F have sent me one by post which should be received within the next 10 working days. Even if I have provided bank receipts (actual invoices where you can see all the details), they are refusing to accept this, perhaps a way to buy even more time with the deposit.From my very own experience and with this honest review, I am asking you to avoid renting via Winkworth if your propriety will be managed by their team, it's a STRUGGLE!AN

Agents are rude

An agent named Beth at Winkworth was extremely rude to my partner and I about a possible viewing. We both work full-time and are unable to attend viewings during the day, and as my partner started to explain this to her - she said "okay, bye" and hung up. A separate agent at the Kensal & Queens Park office refused to answer my questions about prerequesites regarding our employment. It is confusing when most homes the agency offers requires a certain income but then refuses to deal with those who can't attend viewings during normal 9-5 working hours.

Horrible!They do not deserve this star...but I have to put somethingHorrible from the start to the end. Kept us blocked in a transaction for 9 months. They do not care at all for the buyers, not even for their sellers. They will not put any effort in helping or quite during the transaction. Extremely bad customer service!The solicitors that they recommend (Ledenhall law) expensive and unprofessional. They will never reply to updates request, and if they do,they will do it in an unprofessional and extremely rude manner, not what you will expect from a solicitor.I will never ever in my life want to hear from them again. Disappointing service

Good service while we were looking for somewhere to rent but has got a lot worse since we moved in. Their management company had ignored a number of our requests, including removing old furniture and having the property professionally cleaned. We have also found that a number of the appliances do not work. This would definitely put me off using them again.

Unprofessional letting agents with terrible customer service.

Unfortunately I was met with unprofessional letting agents showing me flats that did not meet the requirements sent out to them, while being dishonest about it being the case. Only found out the flat did not meet the requirements after signing the contract. Was forced to pay a hefty price to purchase the required amenities, a minor percentage of which I asked from Winkworth as compensation. They reluctantly agreed to pay, after more than a month of emailing and only after forcing them with an official complaint. Would definitely not recommend under any circumstances - really untrustworthy with terrible customer service.

A predatory scam. Do not use if a student or young.

AVOID WINKWORTH. I am still annoyed months after moving out. I was in a rolling contract, paid up my last month and moved out with plenty of notice - all fine. Out of the blue they then tried to hold me against a contract I never signed/didn't exist and though I agreed to pay if they could present one (said several times) they refused to present one despite hilariously agreeing at the start one could not be found. This went on for several weeks with back and forth phone calls and emails that went round in circles just pushing for me to pay a further 6 months I was never signed to. My mum's partner called in once. Said exact same thing id said. Phone call lasted 5 minutes. And they dropped it, apologised through him and he sent on the message to me that it would be dropped. I was livid. It felt not only predatory and an utter violation but it felt misogynistic on top of it. I am a Senior in my own job so understand associates have rules and policies to follow (and approached Winkworth also how I like to be approached with such complaints) but they completely made things up as they went along, changing stories over and over to try and get me to pay whilst refusing to provide a signed document to say so.Before moving in my friend told me her Winkworth experience which was very similar. I wish I had listened. This is clearly something they have done before and will probably do again in the hopes someone new to renting will just pay out. Vile.

Jenny made what could have been a very stressful situation of moving out of our home (that is being refurbished) into a rental property very straight forward; taking care of admin on our behalf and liaising with the landlord to cover all aspects of our move and so that we had what we needed when we moved in. Winkworths Barnes: Amateurish and incompetent selling agents

Amateurish and incompetent in the extreme. As sole agents during 4 months of the peak house-buying season, Winkworths Barnes failed to sell our house despite interested buyers, all other properties at similar price-point being snapped up and low stock levels. Childish communicators with zero transaction-management skills. Even after we took our house off the market and formally terminated their agency, they continued to display our house on their website marked "under offer" - when the house was not under offer, they were not our agent and we had not consented to their using a photo of our property for marketing purposes. If you are looking for ineffectual and bombastic service, this is the firm for you.
