GoogleRight from the start I felt I was in safe hands. Jason was realistic and practical as well as very patient considering the number of questions I asked him. Joanna was an absolute professional, great at organising viewing at times to suit me and really taking on board the key points I wanted to get across to buyers. I didn’t have any concerns about the viewings and didn’t feel that I needed to be there. The process was smooth and their recommendation of using EDC Lorde was spot on, they clearly have a great working relationship and it made my life so much easier. I would definitely recommend Evans & Co and want to pass on my thanks for their work.

GoogleUpdate: After reading the response from the owner, we actually disagree. They are dishonest. Fact, I received the inventory 10 days after I moved in. They can easily check this, emails have a sent date. I gave photo evidence proving the inventory was not accurate. If you can prove that I am wrong by looking at the email dates, email me with screenshots, and I will gladly update this review and apologise which is something you are incapable of doing. After returning the flat to the condition I received it in minus fair wear and tear, Evans tried charging me for things I was not responsible for; cleaning charges and damage done by painters which they hired. I explained to them multiple times but they refused to listen to me because I had signed an inaccurate inventory. Only after I had launched a TDS dispute did they look into my claims, by which time it was too late. No wrongdoing or apologies were given to me in my case, I get the feeling they just could not be bothered to fill out the dispute. I write this as a warning to renters, take pictures of everything when your enter the flat, and note down anything dirty. If you have an inaccurate inventory, email and ask for a new one to be taken (even though they won't comply). Any phone call you receive is not recorded, so if there is any cleaning to be promised by them, or any repairs, ask for that phone call to be written in an email, because phone calls are forgotten and ignored. We received the inventory 10 days after moving in which makes it slightly more difficult to compare the state of the flat. We as tenants could have been invited to take part in the inventory agreeing to it in person. They do not provide exit inspections either, they just charge you with the repair. If a conversation was to be had before the repair was done maybe we would have done the repairs/cleaning ourselves. I don't think Evans are dishonest, but at the same time I believe that the tenants after me will have trouble getting 100% of their deposit back, mainly because the flat is very humid causing mold stains and paint to bubble.
Needless to say this is not an accurate reflection of events. The inventory was sent to you and received within 48 hours of you moving in...why sign it if it was not accurate !! if there were discrepancies, the time to rise them is at the beginning not at the end. For your information all calls are recorded and any repairs that were the responsibility of the landlord were dealt with. We obviously do a check out inspection at the end of the tenancy which is cross referenced with the inventory that YOU signed this is how we could see what damage and cleaning (or lack of) has been done. You are correct we are not dishonest, we can at least agree on that.
