If you’re looking for an estate agency that redefines the boundaries of incompetence, deception, and Olympic-level apathy, look no further, this place is chef’s kiss levels of disastrous. From the moment they answer the phone, which is as rare as a unicorn on a skateboard, you’re greeted by staff who seem genuinely confused about why they exist. Their customer service motto appears to be: “We don’t know, and frankly, we’re offended you asked.” Looking to buy a house? Oh, you sweet, naive soul. This agency has mastered the rare art of doing absolutely nothing while still managing to screw you over. Bravo. Truly. 👏

What a fantastic experience I've had with Robinsons Sedgefield!From the minute I met Ryan I knew he was the perfect person to help me sell my sister's house. He understood our needs, nothing was too much. My husband and I recently sold our property using Robinsons Sedgefield and we couldn't be happier with the whole experience! We had quotes for the sale of our property from various estate agents in our local area, but the most important part to us was finding an agent who was genuine and affable. Our first encounter with the branch was meeting Ryan when he came to our home, from the moment we got talking we knew this was the right company for us; his knowledge of the local area, experience of sales, and his kind and helpful demeanor were so reassuring and exactly what we were looking for. He was honest about the figure we could expect for our property, thoroughly explained everything the company and branch would do, and allayed any anxiety we had about selling our home.Our main point of contact throughout the duration of the sale was Danni, who has been fantastic. She is so approachable, knowledgeable, supportive and an absolute credit to the branch! Any questions, problems, or even just worries, she has been there throughout; constantly on the ball juggling both emails and phone calls. This was our first time selling a property as well as purchasing a new one, so the whole situation was quite daunting; the idea of having to rely on a sale to complete a new purchase was very nerve-wracking, but Danni was there to hold my hand and guide us throughout, which I am beyond grateful for! She made the whole process so much easier, and has honestly been a delight to deal with.I would also like to give thanks to Sharon, we haven't had as much contact with her but she is absolutely lovely, always so friendly and helpful whenever we have spoken on the phone and genuinely a wonderful member of staff! Lettings Manager is a disgrace. I’ve rented a property out for a year and was lucky to have an amazing landlord. My contract has ended and due to a death in the family I couldn’t renew the contract due to leaving work and relocating down south where all my family are, and becoming many thousands in debt. I have struggled to hire a van to drive from Cambridge to Durham to remove all my bigger goods in the house ready for the new tenants to move in a few days after the contract ends. I don’t drive so this made it a lot harder. I packed all my main things in a car which belongs to my brother in law and set off at 3am in order to return the keys to the agency on time. I phoned the estate agents to let them know I haven’t managed to remove the bigger goods such as a sofa. I was met with the rude ‘manager’ on the phone who was shouting at me and threatening me with court. I couldn’t even speak to explain anything as he was shouting non stop. I understand his frustration but there’s absolutely no need to shout at me on the phone, it’s disgusting. You never know what people are going through and he knew the circumstances with my family death which he clearly didn’t take into consideration before shouting at me and giving verbal abuse and saying that I only came up with a ‘suitcase’ in which I obviously didn’t, he was being sarcastic. I came to the office to hand the keys in, the ladies were lovely and when I confronted the so called manager about his behaviour on the phone, he remained calm and didn’t do anything. Funny how he couldn’t care less on the phone but different story in person. Robinsons do not care about their clients, no matter the circumstances. The only support I’ve had is from my landlord who rightfully should be the one frustrated, but my landlord has been nothing but understanding, reasonable and patient. I am disgusted with how I was treat by this ‘manager’.

The Sedgefield branch for Robinsons have been an absolute pleasure to work with - the entire team have been informative, professional and incredibly friendly. My overall experience has been a glowing one and I cannot thank the three team members that I dealt with enough for all they have done for me during my let and move to one of their properties. When I viewed Bank Top - I was shown around by Ryan. After viewing many properties already and having had either neutral or negative dealings with other estate agents, Ryan was a breath of fresh air. He was kind, helpful and made me feel totally welcome and at ease. I immediately fell in love with the property and Ryan was extremely helpful in explaining the application process and made sure I immediately had all of the information required to apply. I was then put in touch with Sharon to help me manage the application process. Sharon was also fabulous - she was extremely patient with me, answered my (many!) questions, and helped me navigate through the application, replied very quickly to any of my emails and communicated with me fully whilst I waited for references, and my application, to go through. I was then passed along to Danni to complete the letting process - Danni has also been nothing short of wonderful in the final stages of me taking over the tenancy for Bank Top. Once my application had been successful, Danni explained the final stages and was extremely flexible and understanding when agreeing a move-in date with me and what the process would be. I cannot rate my experience with the Robinson’s Sedgefield branch highly enough. Ryan, Sharon and Danni are a credit to the company and have made one aspect of, what’s been an extremely stressful period of my life, as smooth and pleasant an experience as they possibly could. I have absolutely no doubt that if I need their help again in the future, that I’ll receive a stellar service.
