Great service from Robinsons Sedgefield

We couldn’t recommend Robinsons Sedgefield more - Ryan went out of his way to come out and take our photos after they’d closed on a Saturday and put our property on the market later that day. Nicola and Sharon in the office handled enquiries promptly and the team helped us to agree a sale and related purchase within 3 days of putting our property on the market. We were kept updated throughout and Robinsons Sedgefield helped the chain to navigate some practical issues that otherwise could have been very problematic.

Vicki has been amazing from day 1 with us! We are more than halfway through our time with this house, and every small concern or worry we have had has been solved immediately! It has been very easy to communicate with Robinsons, and they always send somebody out immediately. The house is amazing, the staff are all incredibly friendly, and Robinsons are wonderful!

I informed the agency another person is taking over my contract. It was hell, they were asking for things that weren’t needed such as why the student that took over was a mature undergraduate student although all of my housemates were completely fine with it. Bethany specifically was so unprofessional and seemed to purposely make it difficult. She honestly sounded like she got enjoyment out of hearing how stressed out I was. She was so rude and lacked sympathy. She purposely made things slow, and only worked on it when I called and begged them to speed it up. I would never recommend this agency for students. They made it hell for me and genuinely a traumatising process. (This is a reply to the owner below, for one, you cannot share my contract’s details out like that, very much breach of confidentiality, two, if I had to beg and call every single day to speed up the process it isn’t you being fast. Three, you still did not clarify why Bethany made it weird that the tenant was a mature student? Like since when does that matter? Take this feedback, it’s genuinely not personal It’s just unprofessional)

However, we are very disappointed that you felt the need to get personal about a member of our team. Had these concerns been raised at the time (approximately a year ago), we would have welcomed the opportunity to respond and support you more directly. We’d like to clarify the timeline and actions taken regarding your request to transfer your tenancy: • 27th June: You informed us that [New Tenant] would be taking over your tenancy from 1st September 2024. • 2nd July: Application forms were sent to [New Tenant]. • 3rd July: Forms were returned, and it was noted that [New Tenant] did not have a UK-based guarantor. • 8th July: You kindly offered to act as guarantor for [New Tenant]. • 3rd, 12th July: We had ongoing communication with [New Tenant] to clarify how the arrangement would work. • 12th July: Upon confirmation that you were starting employment and eligible to act as guarantor, we proceeded with the next steps. • 17th July: All tenants confirmed their agreement to the tenancy change, and [New Tenant] paid the deposit directly to you, enabling us to update the deposit certificate. • 18th July: The tenancy change addendum and deed of guarantee were issued. • 19th July: After correcting a signing issue, the completed deed of guarantee was returned. • 24th July: All signed documents were received, and the process was concluded. We understand that tenancy transitions can be stressful, especially during periods of personal change. Our records show that we maintained regular communication and took timely action based on the information provided. We sincerely regret if any aspect of the process felt impersonal or caused undue stress. We asked Robinsons the Sedgefield office to sell our property and from the first contact I met Ryan who valued the property and talked me through the process and everything went well from there Nicola and Sharron at the Sedgefield office were always on hand to answer any questions and and quickly resolve any issues when they cropped up I would say the office was managed totally professionally and would recommend them to friends and family and not hesitate in using them again.

The world's worst real estate agent

I only reply to messages once every two weeks. When I inquired about room A, I was told that room A was no longer available, leaving room B and C. Then I sent an email directly to inquire about rooms B and C. Two weeks later, I replied that neither room B nor C was available. I am very speechless about your efficiency and service

Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear you’re disappointed with your experience. However, the rental market is extremely fast-moving, and room availability can change within hours or days, not weeks. When you first enquired, you were advised that Room A had already been let, leaving Rooms B and C available at that time. Unfortunately, your follow-up response was received around two weeks later, and during that period both remaining rooms had also been secured by other applicants. Had your response been received sooner and your search been a little more proactive, there would have been a greater opportunity to secure one of the available rooms. We cannot reserve accommodation while waiting for responses, on the off chance you might be interested. We appreciate your feedback, but are very disappointed in your comments and don’t believe this reflects the level of service provided. We wish you every success in finding suitable accommodation.

Ryan, Sharon & Nicola At the Sedgefield branch are wonderful

Ryan, Sharon & Nicola at the Sedgefield branch of Robinsons are all amazing. We’ve bought and sold a couple of houses with them now and they never fail to impress with their professionalism, attention to detail, efficiency and GSoH. The last house we sold got £10k more than we’d ever thought possible and both us and the buyers were over the moon.

House sale - 10/10 Service

We sold our house this year through Robinson’s Durham branch and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the wonderful service from the team throughout the process. Keith was a pleasure to deal with for the valuation, and Ann, Stacey, Keighley and Emily were exceptional for the remainder. The team went above and beyond, and communication was prompt and professional. We were delighted with the marketing of our property, and thanks to the team we secured a buyer very quickly. From my initial contact through to photographs and my property being listed and advertised, I have been kept informed all the way by Danni, Sharon & Ryan.
