We recently vacated a property at the end of serving our notice with Alexander and co and were ready to move into our next property. Unfortunately the property was not safe to live in and we found ourselves at a loose end with nowhere to live. Thankfully, Connor at Alexander and co went above and beyond to ensure he found us a property in a very short space of time. Alexander and Co help us through every step of the way to letting out our first ever property. I called up for a Valuation at the end of March 2022 and that day one of the team was at my property. Stuart has been amazing… he advised us of what we needed to do to the property before letting it out. We were very naive but followed Stuart’s advice and after all works were carried out at the property it is successfully rented out by the middle of August 2022 (we did gut the place so took us a bit of time). I inherited Alexander & Co as a property manager when they took over the letting agents managing my rental property. I was with them for over a year before taking back the property to self-manage. Overall, my impression for the agent is positive. They had an online portal where tenants can report issues they are having. As a landlord I would receive notification to login and read about the issues and select options on how to proceed. In theory this was quite useful however it was somewhat unreliable at times. There were multiple times where I had selected the agent to proceed in having the issue fixed with their contractors. A couple of weeks later some of these issues still had not been rectified. Not sure if this was a glitch in the system as there were others times where it worked quite well. However, this particular time it delayed the tenant receiving help. I found the property management team upfront and honest although there were instances where they tried to charge for unnecessary things. It is worth noting that this can unfortunately be a common occurrence in the letting industry. However, Anne Lescalier who was my go-to person was always very helpful and reliable. She walked me through the process of taking back the property to self-manage and exactly when to give them my notice to avoid charges. She was always very friendly to talk too and always was eager to help. Overall, I would recommend this letting agent to others who are looking for a reliable service within the area.

As a first time renter i was really skeptical and nervous about the whole process as i didn't know how anything works. I had my viewing with Connor who was punctual, informative, professional and really polite. I put forward my offer and once it was accepted Denisa and Regan supported me through the whole application process and answered any concerns i had. I was able to meet the team who are quite lovely, helpful and are readily available whenever i need them. I am happy to have gotten my flat with Alexander & Co Dunstable Estate Agents and i 1000% recommend renting with them as i have no regrets.
