Excellent communications from Jason, Julia and Gary, my house was a difficult sell due to various factors the sale fell through twice before being successful third time so the agency had their work cut out and certainly earned their commission with over 30 viewings! Alexander & Co. managed student properties for me for 2 years and did a reasonable job with the tenants. I decided they knew insufficient contract and tenancy law, and their bookkeeping was rather sloppy, so gave them notice I was terminating our contract. They took over £3,000 from my rents as a "termination charge". I took legal action and nine months later, the court ordered they repay it to me, plus interest and costs. READ THEIR CONTRACT TERMS CAREFULLY. Having hired them you cannot fire them without almost an extra year's charges, unless you have terminated the tenancy, (Clause 20). Although tenancy was terminated, they took the charge anyway, (in violation of the contract), because they objected to some previous tenants re-renting directly from me. No other agent has ever taken unauthorised money from my rents or objected to me ending a contract. Hire a trusthworthy agent.

We went to a few agencies around the Dunstable area but this one was by far the best, our housing agent went above and beyond to get us a really nice place that was also dog friendly. The other agencies didn’t seem to contact us after visiting them and they didn’t seem to care but Alexander & Co made sure to keep in contact and send us regular houses to rent within our price range. Without them we would still be looking, 5 stars would recommend to others looking to move to this area :)

I waited till we completed on the sale of our property to give a proper rating of the whole experience with Alexander & Co Estate Agents in Dunstable. We chose 3 agents for a valuation, Jason the valuer came on time as you’d expect, a good first impression, he came prepared with stats & even a mock up of an advert (one agent didn’t even come on time, he was a straight no from the beginning, as much as he talked he’d already missed his chance) Despite the house being quite a standard nice property, Alexander & Co treated the property as if they were selling Buckingham Palace. Everything they said they did, we definitely chose the right team, well done. On the opening day we had over 30 viewings in 2 hours. The property sold over its original valuation. Awful treatment as a tenant. I ultimately had to move out of a property due to mold and damp and had no support, in fact the opposite from A&Co. They are continuing to enable a landlord providing poor accomodation. Rude, sarcastic staff. Just terrible.

I found Alexander & co to be very unprofessional, the lettings manager Richard didn't really know what he was doing. They handed me a section 21 notice as my landlady had passed away using the original tenancy agreement details which had my ex named on there, so was null and void anyway, the new documents had only been signed a couple of months prior with just my name on it. They charged an exit fee of 130 pounds even though I was served a section 21 notice. I didn't choose to leave. I questioned Richard about this but he said it was standard procedure. ( which you can't do from June this year anyway) Diabolical service, and the efficiency of a rodent. I would not recommend them to anybody. Unhelpful and unprofessional on every level.

What a fin terrible experience with both the landlord and the agency. Charged £x at the end of the tenancy for damages caused by us, which is not even true. I spent £x from my pocket that was never been reimbursed to me and likely saved the house for further damage, but that is where I made the mistake. Wish I would just report the issue and leave it till the engineer would arrive, wich would likely be at least a week. Could cause the landlord thousands of pounds worth damages. Karma will find you all........
