Lovely House Viewing Experience

Keryn showed us around a beautiful property on Saturday- We were really impressed with her knowledge of the period property and the little less obvious details she pointed out- we were also struck by her genuine nature and very human approach to the showing. It was unusual to have a people-centred outlook shared by an estate agent, so very impressed with this agent. Although the property wasn't the one for us, but the agent really impressed us.

Poor service

To start with, we had to do the majority of our viewings ourselves, as they never had anyone available. Then they recommended a buyer, for less than we wanted. Convinced us they were a good buyer, then after the house was off market for two months we found out the buyer was never in a position to proceed. Didn't have stamp duty. Wards are supposed to vet buyers, that's what we pay them for. Would not recommend.

Great team, professional, friendly and reliable.

Having not sold before, I was anxious about the whole process and the stigma attached to estate agents however from the first meeting with Anna at Wards in Walderslade, any pre conceptions were very quickly wiped away. The whole process was fairly straight forward and having the whole team on hand at any point to help was great. Each time you dealt with someone you felt as though they actually knew who you were and treated you with respect and provided honest updates. We made a decision to sell our property and buy another after lockdown and we found a few houses with Wards we liked the look of. The team in Deal were really accommodating with house viewings, knowing we were serious buyers. The process ran smoothly, sticking to social distances, wearing face masks and using hand sanitizer. So far we have had a good service and happy with the measures put in place in these current circumstances. I will post a full review on Wards after the process has fully been complete.

We have been very pleased with the level of service received through Wards in Deal, through the process of selling 2 houses and buying one. From the moment we viewed with Lauren we were impressed with her friendly and professional manner, and obvious passion for her job. She made the whole process of buying and selling as stress-free as possible and reassured me at every step of the way, keeping me informed by email/text when I was unable to take calls due to work. Lauren is a real credit to the Deal branch! Everyone we spoke to in branch were very helpful and friendly on the phone, and in particular Jess was amazing after Lauren went on maternity leave! She was always happy to answer my many queries and arranged so many viewings at my property. Lee is a great negotiator and really worked hard behind the scenes to tie everything together on my sale and our purchase, and provided reassurance when I was anxious about everything working out! Dubious, untrustworthy and zero integrity. Please avoid!

Avoid this dubious, untrustworthy and awful company at all costs. Wards took an alternative offer to a seller after I had instructed solicitors following acceptance of my offer. I should have known they use dubious tactics after I offered the full guide price and Wards quickly suggested the seller needed more money, despite the fact we were the only offer being considered. Following acceptance of the offer, I was asked by Wards to instruct the solicitors they recommended (they receive a referral fee) at the earliest opportunity. Two days later, Wards called and informed me they had taken another offer to the seller, bypassing our sale agreement and demonstrating a complete lack of integrity. The alternative offer was accepted, the sale fell through and I am currently out of pocket as a result of a desperate clamber to boost a senior managers commission. If you want to sell your home, please use an alternative firm to ensure that your home is being sold by people with a moral compass. If you want to buy a home, please avoid going through Wards, as they simply can’t be trusted.

I would highly recommend Lee and his great team at the Deal branch. I was so pleased when they sold my house on the 2nd viewing and they have been extremely supportive, courteous and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to use them again. I particularly like that once you have sold they have a dedicated member of staff to liaise and help you through to your actual completion takes place, I’ve always found ringing solicitors etc difficult and she takes all this worry away! She regularly rings you with any updates within your chain and it’s so helpful.
