I have been using the services of Blundells for many years now to find quality tenants. I want to give particular mention to Kath Moss and Freddie Willoughby, as they have worked very hard to make this latest instruction seamless for me as a Landlord. I personally feel they go over and above what is expected, for both landlord and tenants. They are incredibly knowledgeable in relation to the property markets, and current property rental legislation. I spoke with Freddie from Blundells on the phone to arrange a property viewing; he showed me and my partner round the house the following day. He was very helpful and friendly, going out of his way to fit a viewing round my shift pattern despite his busy schedule. He provided us with all the information we needed and more, making details clear for us first time renters. He made us feel very at ease throughout and was a pleasure to talk to.

We have sold our house and have moved into a rented property. We initially started using the Rotherham branch who I will review separately as they were fantastic. They asked the doncaster branch to phone us to view the property in mexborough. I did not receive a call. 2 days later I had to call them. They didn’t have the keys to the property and we would have to wait. We booked in a viewing at a future date. The lady who met us was very professional and was able to answer nearly all our questions. We fell in love with the property and she wrote up the details and costs before hand so we could take it away. We didn’t feel pressured but she did tell us when the next viewing was so we had the weekend to decide. That when it went down hill. After paying our deposit of £250 the contact stopped. I had to chase them none stop to get our checks done and ask for the contract. 4 weeks was plenty of time but it still all happened last minute. The contract was sent 2 days before getting the keys and I couldn’t pay the remaining £2,700. On the day of getting the keys I attended the branch. They were clearly busy and admitted one of their staff was leaving. They did not have all the paper work and still could not take my payment. In the end they took the payment but said they may have to take more at a later date. I was there over an hour with a hungry baby. When I arrived at the property it turned out none of the promised work had been done. There was still a government alarm fitted, the garden was a mess and the keys to the garden had not been found. We ended up loving in with no way of letting our dogs out. When we called to get things resolved we were told they would deal with it. I had to make all the calls and received no calls back at all. Not happy with the service and I know they can do better! In organised, unprofessional and we would not return to the doncaster branch again.

Blundells Lettings in Doncaster provide everything a landlord requires when letting a property . Leanne Gelsthorpe took control of the business earlier this year delivering integrity , transparency , honesty , decency and trust both with her clients and her team . This is rarely seen from a landlords perspective within this competitive business environment . Of course Leanne is not a one man band , I have been dealing with Kerry who has delivered a high degree of service that every landlord requires taking the stress out dealing with an existing tenant or indeed finding a new tenant .
