Having experienced really appalling service from a certain estate agency when trying to buy a new home earlier this year I have to say it makes a refreshing change to deal with the guys at Sowerbys in Dereham. Louie, from the outset has been throughly professional, charming and friendly, someone who actually does what he says he will do, a rarity in our experience when buying property. Added to which, Miriam who showed us around a prospective property was an absolute delight. It makes such a nice change to have someone actually give you time rather than rushing you in and out in 10 minutes. A far more positive experience which goes a long way in restoring our faith in the buying process.

I have to say I'm very impressed with the service I've received from Sowerbys. When I first decided to go on the market, like most people I had valuations from several local agents and, despite the fact that there were agents offering a more financially attractive commission, I opted to go with Sowerbys as I got the impression I would be receiving a professional and attentive service - and I wasn't wrong. In particular, 'Hats Off' to Louie White - he engaged with me regularly throughout the time I've been on the market and, more importantly, was extremely helpful in negotiating not only an acceptable sale price for my property, but also negotiated on my behalf with the estate agent representing the vendor for the property I've agreed to purchase and agreed a reduction on the purchase price I possibly may not have achieved on my own.

Thank goodness for Sowerbys and Octavia in particular! We moved from another agent to Sowerbys not because the other agent wasn't any use (we quite liked them), but because we thought Sowerbys were more likely to understand the uniqueness of our property and attract the "right" prospective purchasers. We were certainly not disappointed, from the outset everyone at Sowerby's was professional, knowledgeable about the area, realistic & honest in their appraisals and filled us with confidence that they would sell our property. I don't know how Octavia and the team found enough time to ensure that we were always updated and the service does not stop when someone agrees to buy your property. There is so much that can go wrong in between selling subject to contract and actually exchanging and this is another of the areas where Sowerbys excel. Octavia was tireless in chasing everyone within the chain, making sure it did not break down, getting people within that chain to compromise so that we did not lose our sale or purchase. I'm positive that without that diligence and perseverance we would not have ended up exchanging contracts when we did and I'm so glad we used Sowerbys. In fact I'll go as far as to say that having moved a good number of times over the years that their ethos and quality are unparalleled and they are now the only Estate Agent I would ever recommend or use again. I know they are also constantly seeking to improve and move forward and that their greatest assets are their staff, we were privileged to have had Octavia on our case but I'm sure that with Sowerbys everything is a team effort and they recruit people with the same strengths and skill as her so you should be in good hands whichever branch/person you have working for you. Also went above and beyond to get a final meter reading because I was selling remotely and would have required a long journey.
