I'm purchasing a property through Burchell Edwards and after a very complicated and drawn out process of trying to get my mortgage application resolved, Matthew Thomas from Ashley Adams Estate Agents swooped in an saved the day. He was extremely helpful, kind, understanding and a bloody hard working guy who got the job done and consistently kept me updated throughout the process. I can't recommend Matt enough! Will use him in the future to renew mortgages and would defo recommend him to friends and family! #hero

The level of customer service I received from Emily, Martha and Matt was beyond all my expectations, one open morning on my property and my house was sold. Ashley Adams could not have been more professional, attentive, thorough, respectful, kind, supportive and experienced. Having recently just completed on a property in Derby centre I have dealt with Ashley Adams Estate Agents over the last few months since my offer was accepted. In the past I have used various Mortgage Consultants, but by far have had the best experience with Matthew Thomas who is the Mortgage Consultant at the branch. He was diligent in everything he did to find us the best mortgage rate and kept us up to date at every stage of the process. Nothing was too much for him and the fact that once you pay for his services for the first time, this fee covers any mortgage work he does for you in the future which is a real bonus. Katie Haslam was our Sales Negotiator and also worked on the sale progression of the property which was also a huge help. Any questions or queries were dealt with extremely quickly and Katie was in regular contact throughout the time it took from our offer being accepted to completion.

I have been lucky to have had my mortgage application handled by Matthew Thomas at Ashley Adams. He is extremely clear, prompt, and proactive. Despite some issues I faced throughout the conveyancing process, Matt stepped over and beyond to ensure nothing was lacking from his side by acting straight away at the end of a call or email, I cannot recommend his skills and knowledge enough! If you want a personable, direct and reassuring service, Matt is definitely who to turn to!

We booked to view a house at Munday Street , at 10 am on 22/05/2025. My partner and I and our two year old daughter made the trip from North Wales to Darby, the duration of the trip rounding up to a 2.5 hour journey. Making it to our destination, we approached the house at 10 am with no sign of a representative for Ashley Adams. We then called the office, to be told the booking had been cancelled and we should have received a cancellation email.... Which we hadn't! I rang the office to communicate with Ashley Adams, my call was answered by a lady with a absolutely disgraceful and childish attitude! Id ask over the phone where was the representative, to be told no one was coming to see us and the best they could do that day was 17:30. What sort of unprofessional clown have you got representing this business? And also she then hung the phone up on me. I would avoid this agency at all costs and go with another agent. We have recently put an offer in on another house with another agent in Darby. Well played to the idiot I spoke with on the phone.

I am writing this review to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the services provided by Ashley Adams estate agents. My experience has been nothing short of appalling, and I feel compelled to write this review. * Despite numerous attempts to contact Molly, I have received no response. The lack of communication and unresponsiveness have caused unnecessary stress and frustration. * As a customer, I expected timely and professional communication throughout the process, but unfortunately, this has not been the case. * Handling of the sale was done inappropriately, quick to take the deposit but no support afterwards. * Travis didn't stick to his words of 'I'll collate all the information and get back in touch'. * I was informed by Travis that the holding deposit fee would be returned if the deal with the property fell through, which it did for reasons that are legally acceptable. However, it is now approaching almost 3 months, and I have not received the refund. This delay is unacceptable, and I demand immediate action to rectify the situation which I can’t see happening any time soon.

From the moment Emily came round to do the valuation to Alex, Lianne, and others in the office, who made it easy to book viewings of our property and the ones we want to view! Well I don’t even know how to start this, but I can confidently say that Ashley Adams Derby have been the worst company I have ever dealt with. They made the move last year extremely difficult and stressful. I have never dealt with so much incompetence in my life. The manager was never reachable and always was told he would call us back (He never did) We was also told we would get an email but we never would either. This was on numerous occasions. The lettings team that we dealt with did not communicate with us at all. They changed our move date several times without even notifying us. It took multiple calls to the branch to get told the move date had been changed ages ago and the team dealing with you are on annual leave. Just left us completely in the dark. They left the reference checks for too long so they timed out and we had to do this all last minute! The day before moving. We was also lied to and manipulated by the lettings manager about having parking availability at the apartments, we are not the only tenants who had this issue. Whilst living at strutt house, chatting to other residents they were also told the same thing. I would recommend that people stay clear if they are looking to rent with Ashley Adams, unless you want to be extremely stressed, misled and left with zero communication from them. Im sure the buying side of Ashley Adams is great as its a different team but the lettings team need sorting out, especially the manager, extremely patronising and just no care at all. Couldn’t even do the basics like reply to emails or call you back when promised. We have moved now with a different company and they have been truly fantastic. DO NOT RENT WITH ASHLEY ADAMS!
