TrustpilotOne of the worst propery hosts I've ever dealt with
I've been renting an apartment in Newcastle since October 2023 and thing were going smoothly until My Property Box decided that they're selling the apartment since the there has been viewing each week without my permission. They only send n email approx. 24 hours before that and if you don't see it, there is no way of telling them not to schedule the viewing. I called the company and they told me that there isn't any way that I can stop the viewings even if I'm not there. So while I'm working people are waling around me and showing off the apartment which is totally not okay, also if I'm not there they got their own keys so they can come in whenever they want. The customer support is also atrocious, besides the viewing I got another problem and it's mold. We have mold on the kitchen ceiling, in the bathroom, under the carpet in the bedroom and in the boiler room. We contacted the company and sent photos but they haven't done anything on the matter since October. As a conclusion I can say that this is the worst experience I have renting an apartment in my entire life.

Initially the guy was very helpful, he went through my application on the phone.Because of the distance between me and the property he arranged for a video virtual tour of the property for the next day and he said that he would send it to me using WhatsApp The next day… nothing, the day after… nothing I emailed them and they didn’t have the decency to respond… I went onto the Rightmove website to find out that the property was “ let agreed “.. without letting me know.This is extremely frustrating and unprofessional especially as I had taken about £2,500 from my savings account to my current account, to cover the rent in advance, deposit and the removal fees.I had also painstakingly gone through arranging a removal company.To be ignored and treated with such disrespect is shocking.I would NOT recommend this company

Staff are extremely friendly and considerate. My landlord is selling my rented home. Although this is a difficult time I have found Jasmine to be extremely helpful during this time, promptly getting back to me with any queries I have had throughout the process. When I first began renting the property it was through a different agency whom were not prompt on any repairs ect, since my property box have taken over repairs if not emergency have been dealt with the same week. Great agency!

My Property Box have been managing a few of our properties for several years now and as such, they have always been very good at updating us and communicating any issues that require attention. Likewise, more recently, the property required a full redecoration and deep clean which was managed and executed perfectly - great job specifically by Sarah Anderson at My Property Box who is always on the ball and very friendly and helpful in all our conversations. Great work My Property Box, not only a great service, but also from a fee's perspective, good value too.

Jesmond Branch MPB. AVOID. Worst property agency I have ever dealt with and I move house almost every 1-2 years due to my job. It’s been 2 months since I have moved out and I haven’t received any amount of my deposit back yet. Had contractors coming in and out all the time and lots of times without notice to do works in the flat leaving a mess to clean up but then still want to claim a professional cleaning fee off my deposit although I have left it in a clean state. Had to also deal with a massive pile of carpet scraps for 2 months until I escalated my complaint to higher management to finally have someone take it out. They have even managed to lock me out of my flat one time after a viewing by locking the bottom lock which I didn’t have access to and after a late shift at work I couldn’t even sleep in my own flat. Have spoken to other tenants managed by Mypropertybox and none have had a good experience. Very unprofessional, incompetent, appalling communications and do not recommend at all.

No inspection for over a year then an email for an inspection within 24 hours notice. When I pointed out that I needed this rearranged in order to be present because there are numerous issues to point out for repairs they sent someone within 24 hours anyway. I had a call to say they couldn’t get in and was accused of changing the locks! They couldn’t get in because they had lost the master key! I have contacted the landlord directly who explained that he has no response to his queries about the property. I would suggest anyone with problems with this letting agent contacts the landlord directly. Ultimately landlords and tenants will leave this agency due to their sheer incompetence

We have been in our property for 4 months and it has been nothing but stress with these. They are awful at communicating with eachother and never help us with our problems. We moved in with many damp walls which they never mentioned until we found it ourselves- just been covered up with wallpaper. Contractors are shocking and leaving their tools for weeks without helping. Wouldn’t recommend

WARNING PLEASE READ This company is absolutely shocking. The treatment and incompetence of knowledge for good tenants is terrible. My daughter who has an excellent 5 years of renting from other reputable agencies move back to her home town only to be trapped into this company once they got your cash and your a great tenant they won’t let you go just keep on telling you can’t leave and refuse to give a genuine references to other agencies which they know will stop you from going any were as agency always request that and they want £400 for this as my daughter has been Told today she is absolutely devastated that a company can hold her to ransom she honours all her tenancy agreements and follows the rules and this is how there treat her all she wanted was a bigger home and garden for pooches she has worked hard all of her life and now her anxiety levels have been exasperated by all this I have put a complaint in but this company is a law into there own hands I wish we looked on reviews first so new tenants BE WARNED they are very nice at first then they get you trapped and reporting repairs that’s another story Hope this helps someone Regards Michelle

Have recently used MPB’s tenant-find services to rent a number of our student houses in Jesmond and surrounding areas for the next academic year. Amaan from the Acorn Road branch displayed his competence by not only successfully finding tenants for all the properties but managed to do so at a significantly increased rent compared with previous years. Would therefore definitely use MPB again, and would highly recommend their Acorn Road branch to other tenant-find landlords.

The saga continues. Turns out the complaints procedure at my property box is no better than the rest of the company. Apparently it doesn't matter that certain individuals at management level give there tenant's false, inaccurate and misleading information in order to aquire a signature on the tenancy agreement via means of deceit.
