FacebookI have just completed on a house using Carter Willow, The problem I had when selecting an estate agent is that I live 224 miles from the house and the fact that I don't trust estate agents ( or solicitors ) made this a difficult task, my only guide was to trust the reviews and I am glad I did, Asa and his team went above and beyond in the handling of the sale, email's responded to quickly even out of hours. I was kept well informed at all stages (In fact things that the solicitor should have been informing me of were being passed on by Asa and his team first) nothing was to much trouble. So do I trust estate agents now, ermmm no, do I trust Carter Willow OH YES. I highly recommend these days, one last thing the house went on sale Thursday, sold Saturday. Well done and thanks you Asa for all you did.

It was deeply unpleasant buying a property through Carter & Willow. The initial estate agent(s) were okay but after our offer was accepted we had to deal with a Sales Progression person. She was extremely pushy and definitely tried to pressure me as a first-time buyer. I was pressed to not try to negotiate the sales price after having a survey completed and she gave me incorrect mortgage advice which was centred around her trying to convince me to change from my mortgage advisor and instead use her 'friend'. My mortgage advisor informed me what she did was extremely unethical. I hope to never have to use Carter & Willow again.

GoogleReally great experience dealing with all the guys here. From the first viewing they were there on time and there before me (which is rare) and knew everything from local transport and shops to what the Landlord would be willing to do with regards to the furniture etc. The referencing was painless and the move in was smooth which to be fair all credit to them as it was a quick move in for my brother who was relocating and they helped him so much overcoming various time restraints to get it done. Can’t thank them enough. Would certainly recommend them to other Landlord clients too as they were knowledgeable and professional from start to finish. TCPositiveProfessionalism

GoogleMy family and I will be forever grateful to Sophie at Carter and Willow who went well above and beyond her role, responsibilities and obligations to help us complete the purchase of our new home last week(after starting the exhausting process 10mths ago when we accepted an offer from the property we were selling) . I don't think I have ever experienced such genuine care, compassion, hard work, dedication and willingness to help from someone working in a customer service and sales role. Sophie took a personal interest in our case and worked exceptionally hard to see it to completion. She were willing to help us even though Carter and Willow was not getting any commission from us (as Carter and Willow was dealing with our purchase and another estate agent was dealing with our sales). Words cannot begin to express our gratitude, you worked on our case deligently as if we were you family member, what more could we ask for. Thank you soooooooooo much Sophie, and thank you Carter and Willow. GoogleI do not recommend this agency, do not waste your time and nerves with such arrogant people. if I could I would give them -1000 stars as a review. danielle and rossie are very arrogant and lie a lot, they made me wait 3 weeks, only to finally tell me that the landlord wants families with the same surname (they know the landlord's requirements from the beginning, but they like to they make fun of people and see how they pray for them to answer their emails and phone calls), and the man who answers the phone, after walking you around to all his colleagues, laughs in your face and answers dryly "no may be". I am sure that there are other people who have experienced this with them and I encourage them to express their opinion here, so that everyone can see the truth about this agency. only the advertisement is yours, otherwise, you are good for nothing!
Raluca, We are sorry you feel the need to leave a 1 star review. This review genuinely comes as a surprise because Carter & Willow have very positive reviews on Google and have built a business based on service and transparency. Upon checking our records you first expressed your interest in renting one of our landlord’s properties on the 15/08/22 but due to the demand the landlord chose to start referencing another tenant and you were informed of this decision on 17/08/22. You then expressed your interest in another one of our landlord’s properties on the same day. We then requested further details from you in order to put the full details of your offer forward to the landlord and once the information was received we discussed the details of your offer with the landlord. After some deliberation between the landlord and ourselves we jointly decided not to proceed with your application on the 20/08/22. We notified you of this decision on the same day the decision was reached. The reason for this decision as previously explained to you was due to 4 adults all living at separate addresses and all with different surnames. The reason this was problematic for the landlord is because the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham state that all selective licence holders must take reasonable steps to ensure their properties are not let on a house in multiple occupation basis (HMO) and It is illegal for a landlord to operate a HMO without the correct licence. The courts can impose a fine of up to £30,000 on any landlord operating an unlicensed HMO so therefore please understand why it is necessary for the landlord to make sure he has done his due diligence to minimise any potential fines. No money was ever requested from you and the referencing process did not start. There are several inaccurate and offensive statements within your review, although we do understand your frustrations during this highly competitive rental market. Please understand landlords must protect their interests and are within their rights to reject applications. Carter & Willow wish you the best of luck in your search for a property.

GoogleThis is a small but very professional outfit. They recently sold my property which turned into a long drawn out process due to problems with the buyer. I was going to use one of the online estate agents to save money but really glad I didn't now as they continually chased and even at one stage put the house back on the market and held another viewing day which pushed the buyer along. After having the flat on the market for over 4 months with a different estate agent, Rosie managed to find us a buyer in less than 2 weeks. She was very well prepared with answers for all the potential buyers and she was providing us feedback promptly.
